    I love how the wigs turned out and I appreciate you showing the trial and error. I really liked the method of sewing the wefts. I'm going to try making an elastic lattice and hand stitching the wefts to that. Thanks for the inspiration!

    Beth adorei as técnicas de perucas, comprei minha primeira Blythe, mas já amava criar roupas de bonecas e as minhas próprias bonecas de pano. Parabéns e sucesso!

    I kept my own cutted hair and I want to make a wig now 😂. I think it is funny to create your doll wig with your own hair. Yes I have long hair and In the past I cut 10 cm this will create a Bob?!

      Ahhh heehee, I've done that too, though it was only for a 1/12 scale dollhouse doll! I would totally try that for a Blythe ^_^

    did you do a rerooting video as well? I had a look at your playlist but haven't found one.

    • @BethRamsden
      @BethRamsden  2 года назад +2

      Ahh no, sorry! The only Blythe reroot I’ve done yet was before I started the channel! I do desperately want a mohair scalp for one of my girls, but I don’t know if I want a whole new doll for that yet 😅 I might try a reroot on a smaller doll before that though, a barbie or monster high maybe! 😁

    Amazing! Thanks for the video.
    Is it ok to use Mod Podge for sticking the wefts in stead of glue gun? thanks.

    • @BethRamsden
      @BethRamsden  3 года назад +2

      Thank you! Yes definitely, you’ll get a less bulky finish, it’ll just take longer to dry so make sure your wefts don’t slide down before they set! 😆

    How do you get your dolls to stand so securely while styling? When I put my Blythe dolls in that type of stand, they tip over and/or their knees buckle?

    • @BethRamsden
      @BethRamsden  Год назад +1

      Some of my dolls are hard to keep standing like that too, they have looser knees or hips sometimes. I've sometimes put a hair band round both the stand and their legs, to hold them together/upright. Also it can help to wrap fabric/a towel round and round the body, to protect it and hold it stiff too (then pinch between your knees to hold) ^_^ Hope that helps!

    I have a few black /dark tanned BJD girls. I've made Afro wigs for them in the past. I would love an afro for my Blythe girl who is coming home soon. With my BJDs I managed to hide the scruffy parting, however, I can't get it right on my Blythe. Please help... Thank you..

      Hi! What method of wig making have you used before? I’ve seen on Pinterest some more ways to sew and crochet mohair and curly hair into wigs or even scalps that would be sewn on to cloth dolls. They often attach or are created in a spiral pattern that might be favourable for Afro hair if there isn’t such a defined parting? You can still create a part, and use a small iron or something similar to set it if the hair is able to take heat? I hope that helps in some way, you might find some more tips for curly hair there at least. Let me know how you get on! ^_^
