Comparing your approval (thumbs up) rate to your views and finally your comments, I think you're much smarter than the majority of your audience. I'm an old fart, so I've seen a fork before, but I learned a couple things from this video. Thank you.
Thanks Pro Elite Productions! ah yes that video fell behind but I'm working on it right now and should be out soon along with more Terminator videos, stay tuned bud!
These are all great tips. I wish i saw this before putting my bearing between the metal pieces insead of over them. If I replace the pivot ball should I also replace the fork? The pivot ball was badly worn but the fork didn't look awful but its not perfect
So my 03 GT grinds third now only when after 30 minutes of driving.. next morning I hear a chirping by the trans unless the clutch is pressed in. Shop said the tob wasn’t even connected to the fork… will this solve my grind too? It’s only 3rd which is weird.
I removed the bell housing and transmission separately so I didn't have to remove the exhaust. With the fork installed on the bell housing, will it be ok as I try to fit the transmission spline in there? I just hope it doesn't move the throwout bearing as I'm trying to force it in there
You're welcome Jason! Ah regarding the fork, I haven't used a QuickTime Bellhousing so I don't know which will fit, probably best way to find out is to see what the Bellhousing manufacturer recommends. Hope this helps, Cheers!
I just did a clutch on my 03 gt and the tob was under the clips so I put my new on in the same position. The clutch engagement and disengagement is very smooth but what can I expect to go wrong from me doing that wrong? This is the third clutch I've done where I've installed the tob like that and never had any issues in my vehicles. Thanks!
Morning, I just bought my first gt. 1996. So I have the whining, it goes away when pressing clutch. When releasing clutch you can hear a small drag on spline/motor. I'm assuming my tob is bad. When driving car the clutch grabs good, no slipping under power. And do u recommend I change clutch anyway, or just to and fork. I'm now heading to yur install video. I'm going to see how hard it is cause I don't have a garage or lift, im doing on ground. Or maybe to a shop. Not sure.
Hi Michael and congrats on your first GT! Ah yes that sounds like a TOB issue. I would recommend having your mechanic inspect it along with the rest of the drivetrain hardwire (fork, pivot ball etc.) And if the transmission is already out, typically most mechanics will inspect the clutch, flywheel and rear seal (to avoid the labor of having to remove the tranny again later) to determine if any of them needs to be changed. Cheers!
Does the pointy side(tear drop) of the bearing always face the slave cylinder side? I have a 93’ Sonoma with a T5 but can’t tell which side of the fork the tear drop shoul face they both are round.
Thank you for all the oil and fluids!!!great information and video
You're welcome Jason! Glad to hear it helped!

Hello and thanks for the video. I’m installing a T-56 magnum to my 4.6 2valve using a QuickTime bellhousing. What fork and ball would I need to use?

Hi Luis! I would recommend referring to the service manual for your vehicle to determine the correct orientation (if any) for the fork. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Thanks.
You're welcome Luis!@@luissonoma6255
Do you have a t-45 quill shaft replacement
I need to replace the clutch bearing and fork should I replace the transmission fluid as well
Hi Laowhy87! yeah I typically replace the fluid as well when doing a full overhaul like you are. Hope this helps and thanks for watching bud!
@@AlexAutoFun ok thank you sir !
@@Buttersausage You're welcome!

LOL! that's exactly like mine sounded on my Mach 1 right before the thing exploded and spilled it's innards, definitely was not a fun experience 😄
