I'm sure y'all have heard this a thousand times before, but in Japanese myth (or maybe it was Chinese, I don't recall) the Wind and Thunder Dragons were enemies. and here you have Raiden and Sonic, embodying lightning and wind respectively, who especially in these games are virtually polar opposites to one another in many respects-dishonorable ninja vs chivalrous knight, bloodthirsty killer vs merciful protector, just to name a couple examples. and yet, in the end, they're more similar than you'd think. they're both free spirited heroes who fight to protect others from those who would harm or exploit them.
