Finally a review on the LE! I couldn’t find one anywhere. This is a real dream car for me personally and in the same blizzard pearl color. I’d love to see the wheels under the wheel covers.
Glad to see someone do a review on the LE. It's also nice to know that 6'2" person has no trouble sitting in the driver's seat. It was a concern for me since I am 6". I ordered the XLE AWD in Guardian Gray so I did want to see the info system with an 8" display. Looks fine! I could not justify to pay extra for the LTD version, and I don't care about the moonroof and can do without the electrified hatch. (BTW in Canada we can't get the LE and they all come with AWD).

@@alwo3678 Really??? Man, I don't know about that. I've been driving this car for about a month now and I get in and out with ease. You may not have had your seat set 😉
@@TheAutomattic More of his height could be in his torso than you. Or maybe the seat is not adjusted right. I've seen several car reviewers say the back seat head room was not great.. Thanks for your review. Finally a nice review of the, I believe , base model 2023 Prius Model LE which obtains the highest MPG's of all the 2023 Prius models. We had a 2010 Prius and the 2023 looks nothing like our 2010 Prius at all. A nice looking car that 2023 Prius.
Dude! How crazy. I’m currently going down a Prius rabbit hole and randomly stumbled upon your video and then all of a sudden I noticed you were driving past my old apartment when I went out to school in Lubbock! 🤣 small world. Great review!
Well done my man. Your review style is preferable in many ways to the usual "influencers" who have car review channels. Short, to the point, honest, and informational.
I sure do appreciate that feedback! I'm looking forward to doing some more in the near future but things have been pretty busy recently! Your comment is very encouraging 😊
Really awesome overview of this car and thankfully it's for the LE trim... many might call me and my wife crazy, but we're trading in our Jeep Gladiator for a Prius! I really appreciated your thorough review and can't wait to watch the followup clips in the future. I hope the car treats you well and does everything it needs to.
Thanks for reviewing the LE, most reviewers go for the "higher trim" models. I don't know why people want to spend more for a Prius that gets less milage! I think this new design is actually less aerodynamic that earlier models, they sacrificed aerodynamics for looks.
Great owner’s review of the best hybrid and trim level! Wish Toyota would include Automatic headlights with automatic high beams since it literally has all the hardware to function… Please do a follow up video of installing a spare tire! Thanks!
Really enjoyed this video and would love to see follow ups. If you had a change to measure the cargo area that would be awesome. I’m trying to find a car that sits low enough for my fiancé to transfer from their wheelchair, but also have the cargo space to carry a folding power chair without putting the seats down. Thanks!
I actually love the hubcaps! They kinda remind me of the air covers on the model 3. In fact a lot of things about the new prius remind me of the model 3. The prius looks better tho.
@@Joe_Montfort yeah I prefer the smaller wheels for our terrible Oklahoma roads where I live. Better ride and the car would soak up the rough road better for sure. :)
You'll be surprised with the rims behind those hubcaps. I've never seen a car that came with caps that didn't have plain stamped steel wheels. Not so the 5th Gen. Prius. It has nice alloy rims under the "skin".
Thank you for this precise and great review. I was researching this color on this wind chill pearl specifically and this video is just great. It is look like the main exterior difference with the XLE version will be just the wheels and rims. The interior is just a few things more than the LE. Thank you.
We ordered a red Prius Prime two and a half years ago now, a 2022. I wanted the Guardian Grey colour but my wife won the battle. After a 21 month wait, a 2024 Windchill Pearl version became available so we took it. We had the car for a month before realizing the colour is not white. Take a very close-up look on a bright day, the car really is pearl, like from an oyster. Maybe that explains why it cost an extra $600. In any event, I have seen all of the colour palette except for a black model and in my opinion, the pearl is The definitive hue when seen in person.

Thanks for reviewing the LE model. I am interested in the new Prius because of the good looks and simplicity of a non-plug in model. We drove a 2006 Prius base model just over 10 years. It was very reliable, low cost to own and maintain, (but not very exciting to drive). The 2023 design looks good from all angles and base model features would be plenty for me. btw: You did good on your video. I hope you will make the 6 month or 1 year follow up review.
Beautiful redesign for the Prius! Thanks for the tour, the LE model looks to be a great value!. Very happy Toyota improved the performance and looks. Alot of us Chevy Volt owners are interested in the new Prime Prius (plug in hybrid) as long term replacement option, since it looks similar to the gen2 and will be similar in 40-50ish electric only rage + great mpg in gas mode., plus its not discontinued ;D.
Thank you for the feedback and interesting comment! I always loved the Volt! I really wanted to get one, but it's another good thing that got axed too early
@@inquisitvem6723our illustrious legislators just passed a law against being able to buy a car from the factory, unless it’s a Tesla. Dealers have very powerful lobbies, loaded with money. Oh, yeah, this is floriduh.
Congratulations at being one of the first if not the first owner of a Prius! I prefer the XLE but Toyota has been allocating more LE's thus far. Hopefully you exceed 57 mpg.
(Edit) After looking at the LE vs the XLE there is no reason to pay roughly $3500.00 for fancy wheels and a couple of other very minor features such as wireless car charging. Thanks to you I have redecided that the LE AWD is already equipped quite well for $29,945. It is worth getting AWD for only $1400.
It does in adaptive cruise control, I should have said that it won't come to a complete stop like an autopilot. The features of dynamic cruise are super nice, but not FSD when it comes to slowing to a stop. This is my fault for misspeaking. And it does work really awesome, I've used the ACC every day this week 😊
@@TheAutomattic It actually stops completely for me. The start up is a little slow, so hitting the RES button or gas gets it going again. It def will not change lanes or use full directions and get you somewhere. It really is just nice in stop and go traffic
@@whatthef24 Man! That is awesome to hear, I'm not about to try it but it's cool that you did and had success! How fast were you traveling before slow down?
@@HumbleBearcat I live in a hilly part of Orange County, so my mpg isnt great. 51mpg with an LE AWD with mixed flat and hills. If I just drive in the hills it drops to 48mpg. Driving on flat roads only it can be high 50s. Have about 2000 miles on it.
I own a 2012 and recently hit 180k miles. So far I had very minor maintenance issues oil change, filters, tires etc. You will save tons of money on maintenance.
Nobody beats Nissan Ariya head up display. I own an Ariya and it’s a total sweet ride. I placed a preorder for a Prius LE for my father. He currently drives a 2015 Lexus CT200h.
@@TheAutomattic Yes, go test drive an Ariya Evolve+ trim. I highly recommend the Ariya for anyone in the market for an EV. The ride is butter smooth and super quiet inside. Quite honestly, for all the features we get on the Ariya, it should be badged as an Infiniti. I haven’t test driven the new Prius LE. Hopefully, the cabin noise is much much less than the 2015 CT200h.
Hello I’m trying to understand how the parking brake (P button) works. You said that it was really cool but I’m still not sure how to park on an incline. I know about the brake > neutral > handbrake > park gear on a normal car when on incline. How would it would work in this car?
When you engage the "Park" button, on a normal car that would only engage the "Park" gear on the transmission. On the Prius, it also engages the Parking break automatically in Park to assist with incline and decline parking.
The Venza is a little more quiet. A few factors, the door jamb seals in the Venza are nice and thick, plus there is a little more distance between the undercarriage and the ground
You mention all of the Easter Eggs sprinkled throughout the Prius (labeled with hashtags). But, I have found one that I've never heard anyone else point-out. It does not have a # symbol but, it's for sure the coolest one. And, it is tiny. It's very, very subtle and hard to find. Bet you can't find it.
hmm if you went to the Prius LE from a Corvette, i don't feel as weird anymore. currently contemplating trading in my Challenger for the '23 Prius LE. thanks for the video!
great review! '23 limited on order in Black/ gray Int, did you tint after?? what % white looks great on LE Tint Perfect!!! how long did you wait/what was order process
Thank you for the feedback! I did have my tint done after we bought the car, it has 30% on the front door glass, and 10% on the rear doors and hatch. We got our allocation from Roswell Toyota in early February, and took delivery on the 8th of March 🙂 so about 3 weeks to a month. The dealership already had an allocation built out by Toyota, and it checked our boxes for color and trim. We just happened to inquire at the right time and got in the front of the line.
@@TheAutomattic that’s exactly what I’m going to do and ceramic coated tint! more Prius Content is appreciated! as a matter of fact, right after I made the comment, my dealer called me and said they had an incoming, but it was front wheel drive, but I am looking for all wheel drive. I am in the upper Midwest. I am on three dealers wait list, so hopefully I’ll have something soon.
I want to buy the Prius LE like yours for my wife, but she is concerned about the quality of the sound system. I would like to know are there any speakers at the dash? I saw 4 speakers in the doors. Are there any subwoofers? I think I would need to upgrade the speakers.
Amazing, you went from a Corvette to a Prius? Did I miss it? What was the price for this LE? At MSRP or well above with a market adjustment? What was your buying experience like? The only issues I have with this car is the lack of lumber adjustment, after many hours on a road trip that could be an issue. Also, the use of piano black for interior trim is not practical, scratches and dust will make the car look older sooner. Did your rear seats come with a center armrest with cup holders? I do like the manual lift back, less weight and one less expensive thing to fix over time. Please comment on how the stereo sounds. Sometimes this is an incentive to get the next trim level up. My wife’s Mazda CX5 with the Bose system to me is a great feature that is appreciated daily for years. You have a pleasant voice, kind of reminds me of Carlos Lagos - very conversational. Keep up the good work.
Hey Thank you so much for the positive feedback and the view 🙂 To answer your questions, Well, so I didn't exactly go from a Vette to a Prius as a daily driver. I did sell my Vette last year, and it was awesome. Love the C5s. The car I was daily driving was an 01 Camry, so I guess you could say my bar might have been low haha. We were able to pick this guy up at MSRP, and my purchase experience at the dealership and salesman we use is always fantastic. I couldn't agree more about the piano black plastic, they used this on our Venza as well and the instant a spec of dust is wiped off of it, it leaves a horrendous scratch. The seats are pretty comfy, the longest I've driven it is about 2.5 hours and my back wasn't really feeling it. That would have killed me in my Camry. No cupholders or armrest in the rear seats. The stereo system is actually not too bad. My Vette had Bose, my GMC has Bose, and the Prius system while not as full as a higher end system, it is still adequate for jamming while driving. I've not considered it a true issue just yet.
Nice review and like everyone else said, I like that you covered the base model. I like the look of the white car with the dark wheels. Speaking of wheels I am super curious what the wheels look like without the plastic wheel covers (not that they look bad). For instance I like the look of the Gen 3 prius without the wheel covers showing the black spoke style wheel. UPDATE: I see you already posted a short form video without the Wheel covers! THANK YOU!
Great video. Considering purchasing a LE as well mainly for the mpg. I have 1 question. I’ve heard on some electric cars, using the A/C a lot, reduces your total range. Do you find this to be true in your Prius hybrid?
Thanks for the review. I am 6’2 and I am concerned about the lower roof design. So when you sit in the front seat, how much of the head room do you still have before your head touch the ceiling?
Great question, I have a stupid long torso if you ask my wife...so with the seat all the way lowered I'd say I've got a good 3-4" with the seat back at 90 degrees. I lean it back a bit so it helps. Everyone is different and has different driving posture so if you can, go sit in one!! Even if it's someone else's reservation😂
Thank you! It’s the taller people’s problem -:). I went to the dealers a few times, no cars on the lot in any of the dealers. Also they mark up $3-4k for Prius now. Did you get it for the MSRP price? If you did, lucky you. Hate the dealers taking advantage of people.
@@liminyao I can't stand seeing that either. Yes, we were very fortunate to have a good friend at the dealership that helped us purchase our Prius. We paid MSRP and were in and out quickly
I’m 6’3” can I fit in this? I currently have a Corolla and I wish the seat went back 2 more inches. It has caused me some back and foot pain from my big toe being pressed up.
Nice Review. I may have to get the LE trim because a few other reviews say that is the only trim with a Compact Spare Tire available as an option. Is your LE Prius FWD or AWD and did it come with Tire Repair Mobility Kit? Was the Spare Tire option offered to you?
My Prius is an FWD, and has the "fix a flat" type of road side kit. Not the actual spare tire, and because we didn't order the car the spare tire wasn't an option we could choose. However, if you remove the foam insert under the trunk mat, there should be room for a spare if you chose to get one
@@TheAutomattic Thank you for the quick response. A couple of more questions if you don't mind: 1) Would you say it is because of your Prius trim being FWD that there is room under the foam inserts for a compact spare tire since there is no real axle electric motor? So for AWD, there may not be enough room... 2) Is there a clamp under the foam insert to secure the spare tire? And also is there any more room for a jack, jack handle and lug wrench, or those would fit inside the foam inserts? Thanks in Advance.
@@netmann1492 both good questions, 1. I would say that is a fair assumption FWD vs AWD, but I really couldn't say for certain since I'm not sure how large that electric motor is and how it impacts the hatch with certainty. 2. There is a threaded mount space, where you could secure the tire with the traditional means
Great review! You forgot to mention that the le is the only trim that comes with a spare tire. That's a huge plus. Why would they make a car with a 500mile range, but not add a spare 🤦🏻♂️
My LE AWD didn’t come with a spare, only the patch repair kit. But the owner’s manual says I’m supposed to have one. I suspect the AWD option takes up more space over the back end.
@@wickedninja8599 Yes, same here. Because of that, and not having heard of anyone being able to change it, and the red color in Primes matching the red of the seat trims, I think it's very unlikely Toyota designed the light color to change.
Thank you for your video. I have just placed an order for the same car with the grey interior and awd. I had no chance to see one in person before the order. One of the reasons to choose this model is the cloth seats. It is my favorite. My second choice would be leather but not plastic. I am driving a compact SUV now. I have test drove the prius 2021. The seating position was good to me. I am worried about if this seating position is too low?
That is so awesome! I was in the dark as much as you are now and I was really quite nervous!! I am glad I wasn't able to ease some nerves as you await the new model. The seating position even in the LE, is highly configurable. I prefer a lower seat while driving, however I'd say you have a good 4" (if not more) to play with up or down in the driver seat.
I see what you mean! I can't replicate the lamp being on during the day with the DRL, so I will play around a little more and do some research. I'll let you know if I find that it's a setting.
@@TheAutomattic I think your captions are actually correct regarding the DRL and night time lights, unfortunately. On page 16 of the Owner's Manual, 2 styles of the front lights are shown and the LE must be the top one. I love those fierce C-shaped lights which I had no reason to believe weren't DRLs, but they actually aren't on the LE. Somehow I guess it's cheaper for those lights to only illuminate on the parking and headlights settings, rather than on DRL. It also appears the LE uses light strips for turn signals rather than the C-shaped ones.
This may sound ridiculous, but one of the reservations I have about going with the LE is some reviewers say the audio system is terrible. Your thoughts? I’m a bit of an audiophile and do almost two hours worth of driving a day and can’t stand to think about having a poor sound system.
@@TheAutomattic Those are awesome numbers! Are you going by what your car shows or your own calculations? I'd think the car would be more accurate, as the amount of gas pumped can vary a bit based on when the pump stops itself, and if you pump more beyond that first stop. Are you doing mostly city driving? What kinds of driving techniques do you use to get better mpg?
@@TheAutomattic Those seats don't look black though. Light gray and black are the only two options I have for the interior. I'm on the waiting list for a new Prius and trying to figure out the colors since I can't see them in person yet.
Just checked and there is no spare tire. My car doesn't have a jack or tool to remove a tire, just an air pump and the "fix a flat". I'll definitely be adding that. If you remove the white foam you might be able to add a donut in the rear if that is what you want to do.
@@TheAutomattic I just put in an order for an LE. Also, will have Catskinz leather seat covers installed after delivery. 1400 extra, but worth it. I'd cry if someone spilled a soda on my fabric seats.
I think the "check rear seat" message is triggered by one of the rear doors being opened and not the seat sensor. My '23 XLE does that also. Have you figured out how to silence the fasten seatbelt chime when you first start the car?
Yeah I know what you are talking about. Kinda goofy that it's that way, but not overly annoying. That darn seatbelt chime though.... that's annoying. And I've not tried to figure out a way to get that silenced. 😕
I’ve been looking for someone to give a real world highway mpg review on the FWD LE, but haven’t ran across one yet. Is that on your potential to do list?
@@drill_fiend1097 That's pretty consistent with I am seeing especially with lower winter temps. They really seem to dip your efficiency if you turn on your car to warm up for a period of time before driving and because of the impact to the hybrid system. We've had some warmer days again and it jumps right back to the upper end of your range. My neighborhood has gotten much busier, and the traffic is less than ideal for efficient driving, so I've been ruining my own mileage with driving habits.
@@TheAutomattic I stopped warming up the engine after realizing engine won't even start the most of the time even if ignition is on. I am trusting Toyota engineers to figure out hybrid system behavior to optimize for engine longevity. I also live in moderate conditions so it should be fine.
Still feeling good about those seats? I got to test drive an XLE and I really liked the seats in that and I have an LE coming but I still have some reservations about the seats.
To be honest, unless you have multiple drivers, power seats are just an expensive add on. You set your seat for yourself, and you very rarely change the settings, so why have power seats?
Thanks for putting together a great overview video with detail on the LE trim. Some questions: Did the car come with remote start? The fob sequence to use it would likely be lock, lock, lock (hold). Was navigation included, or were you using an app from your phone? In terms of driver assists: when stopped in traffic, does the car notify you when the car ahead of you has pulled away (on the upper trims I think the ambient light strip flashes)? If you fall asleep at the wheel (or become incapacitated, e.g., from a stroke, etc.), would the car automatically put on the flashers and slow to a stop? Do you know what this feature is called?
Thank you for the view and Thank you for the awesome questions. I'll do my best to answer in order 1. Remote Start is included, however a con on new Toyota keys is the signal strength. (my 22 Venza is the same way) 2. I'm running Android Auto to utilize Google Maps, and the car does not include Navigation outside of a Apple Car Play, Android Auto, etc. 3. Yes this does happen if you sit too long at a light and the vehicle ahead goes, it also alerts you if you put your blinker on while a car is in your blind spot. 4.It sounds like what you are describing is the Smart Stop Technology, which is part of the Toyota Star Safety system. This works to detect fluctuations of acceleration that might be a result of a mechanical failure or driver issue. Toyota Star Safety works hand in hand with Toyota Safety Sense and can help detect many signs of driver trouble via the multiple features. I'm not positive that it actually pulls you over and puts on emergency signals, however our salesman did mention that drowsiness detection or a Driver Monitoring System is something on the horizon but I can't find any literature to substantiate that for you. 5. All Prius Trims have the same Safety Sense and Star Safety System features. Things like Front and Rear Parking assist and Advanced Park are optional and are dependent on trim level. I hope this helps 🙂
Thanks for responding so quickly and thoroughly, you did a great job organizing your answers too. I'll continue using the same numbering as my original questions: 1. I'm really glad to hear remote start is included. It's a great feature that strangely isn't mentioned as a selling point, nor even in the Owner's Manual! I've had no experience with remote starting cars. What ranges are you used to, vs what the Prius gets? 3. How does the Prius notify you when the car ahead pulls away? Does the LE have an ambient light strip? 4. This is great info that makes it much easier for me to research! New question: 6. Did you have room to negotiate at or below MSRP (after including add-ons/accessories)?
@@TheMaruMari1 No problem! 3. The car beeps to get your attention, and it may present a message on the HUD if you sit longer after the beep. But I don't see where an ambient strip might be presented. (I didn't have the will to sit any longer at lunch with cars behind me 😅) 6. We worked with a dealer we had trusted to help us before and we ended up paying MSRP plus the delivery fee on the sticker. There wasn't a mark up for any accessories as they were installed at the manufacturer, and didn't get hit with any mumbo jumbo services that folks can often find on typical stickers.
Thank you. 3. Glad to hear the cue is auditory, vs what I think the upper trims use, which is ambient light flashing. I'm thinking the LE lacks the ambient light strip, as on the other trims it runs horizontally across the entire dashboard (with gap for steering wheel area), positioned below the vents. It seems to default to a blue color, you wouldn't be able to miss it. 6. You got a super great deal! Are you saying you weren't charged at all for the accessories, even at their MSRPs? 1. What remote start ranges are you used to, vs what the Prius gets?
@@TheMaruMari1 I know exactly what you are referring to now and yes the LE does not have the super cool LED strip that runs along the dash. I was a little sad about that. I'm used to being able to do the old, "where did I park" click the remote and hear a faint horn across the parking lot 😁 my 04 Vette and 16 Focus ST had really good range. Where as I'd assume the Venza/Prius range is about 100ft with no interruptions like a wall. If my Venza is parked outside of my garage, I can't lock the car from inside my home. I have wondered if Toyota is prompting the use of it's app in the long term instead of the key fob.

Thank You!! We don't see many reviews of the base model! You covered all the bases! Good Job!

They say LE start at $27,000.00 When I do find which is hardly at all in Mississippi they want at lease $32,000.00 to start for a LE.

I just ordered the LE with an all wheel drive option and the pearl white paint.
I bought prius LE 2022 on September 2022 , I saw new prius 2023 at the dealer yesterday , it looks super gorgeous , I would love to trade in ❤
The 2022 Prius is an awesome car too! I've always preferred letting a new model get a few years under it belt before buying, except this time 😂
Thanks for reviewing the LE, most reviewers go for the "higher trim" models. I don't know why people want to spend more for a Prius that gets less milage! I think this new design is actually less aerodynamic that earlier models, they sacrificed aerodynamics for looks.
Agree with several other posters--I've been looking for a quality review of the LE trim; thank you.
Thank you for your very kind feedback! This video was fun, and a good Segway into more content in the future

I actually love the hubcaps! They kinda remind me of the air covers on the model 3. In fact a lot of things about the new prius remind me of the model 3. The prius looks better tho.
I like them too!!! I agree with you, a lot of Model 3ish things about the new Gen
Not to mention that the 17 in. tires likely offer a better ride and less noise, and smaller rims with hubcaps make curb rash less of a concern.

Finally a good video for the LE! Thanks for sharing =D

Thank you for this precise and great review. I was researching this color on this wind chill pearl specifically and this video is just great. It is look like the main exterior difference with the XLE version will be just the wheels and rims. The interior is just a few things more than the LE. Thank you.
Thank you for the AWESOME feedback! I'm really glad I was able to help you in your purchase decision ☺️
I enjoyed this review man, very chill down to earth and makes me excited to pick one of these up one day.

How do you take screenshots of the screen to your phone I did it by accident and I don’t recall what I did
The cruise control does slow down the car. Works great. Drove to and back from Vegas with it on all the time. Worked great in stop and go traffic.

Hello I’m trying to understand how the parking brake (P button) works. You said that it was really cool but I’m still not sure how to park on an incline. I know about the brake > neutral > handbrake > park gear on a normal car when on incline. How would it would work in this car?
When you engage the "Park" button, on a normal car that would only engage the "Park" gear on the transmission. On the Prius, it also engages the Parking break automatically in Park to assist with incline and decline parking.

I hate the fancy wheels…so Neanderthal especially in 2023. …….cool in 1990 yeh.
What city is this?
Hey Thank you so much for the positive feedback and the view 🙂
To answer your questions,
Well, so I didn't exactly go from a Vette to a Prius as a daily driver.
Here in Singapore, we're using the basic model, but with a 1.8l engine.
I gotcha!! Thank you for sharing! 🙂
Thanks for reviewing the LE version!
No problem! Let me know if you have any questions 😊
Congrats! What was your drive out price?
Nice review and like everyone else said, I like that you covered the base model. I like the look of the white car with the dark wheels. Speaking of wheels I am super curious what the wheels look like without the plastic wheel covers (not that they look bad). For instance I like the look of the Gen 3 prius without the wheel covers showing the black spoke style wheel. UPDATE: I see you already posted a short form video without the Wheel covers! THANK YOU!
Hey thank you for the good feedback ☺️ I appreciate you taking a look and also checking out my short videos too! I hope I was able to be helpful
Thanks! does it have autopilot standard ?
Finally a video with the LE trim. How much did you pay for the car? The more important question being how much dealer markups are still there ?
You can definitely find cars at MSRP.
A couple of more questions if you don't mind:
1) Would you say it is because of your Prius trim being FWD that there is room under the foam inserts for a compact spare tire since there is no real axle electric motor? So for AWD, there may not be enough room...
2) Is there a clamp under the foam insert to secure the spare tire? And also is there any more room for a jack, jack handle and lug wrench, or those would fit inside the foam inserts?
Thanks in Advance.
@@netmann1492 both good questions,
1. I would say that is a fair assumption FWD vs AWD, but I really couldn't say for certain since I'm not sure how large that electric motor is and how it impacts the hatch with certainty.
2. There is a threaded mount space, where you could secure the tire with the traditional means
No trim level of the 23 Prius has a spare tire.
@@johncampbell3979 I know no trims has spare tire but you can buy the spare tire and foam inserts on your own, hence, my inquiries above...!
Great review! You forgot to mention that the le is the only trim that comes with a spare tire. That's a huge plus. Why would they make a car with a 500mile range, but not add a spare 🤦🏻♂️
Well, actually mine does NOT have a spare tire. 😞
@@TheAutomattic what!? No way. How so? I thought all LEs had spares. Dang

Can you make a video of external lighting? Like how the DRL fades, back lights, blinker etc... tks

@@TheAutomattic in the subtitle, look if the DRL and night time lights are swapped!
I can't say I dislike the audio system. It's not a Bose, but it's not awful. Perhaps my standards are low, but I still jam out on my commute just fine
Wonderful review! Thanks!

Just checked and there is no spare tire. My car doesn't have a jack or tool to remove a tire, just an air pump and the "fix a flat". I'll definitely be adding that. If you remove the white foam you might be able to add a donut in the rear if that is what you want to do.

I see between 52~60mpg on mixed driving conditions.
I've been driving it daily since purchase and I really do like the seats. Good quality cloth with solid support
@@TheAutomattic nice! Glad to hear it. Did you ever try the other trim levels to compare by any chance?
To be honest, unless you have multiple drivers, power seats are just an expensive add on. You set your seat for yourself, and you very rarely change the settings, so why have power seats?
Thanks for putting together a great overview video with detail on the LE trim. Some questions:
Did the car come with remote start? The fob sequence to use it would likely be lock, lock, lock (hold).
Was navigation included, or were you using an app from your phone?
In terms of driver assists: when stopped in traffic, does the car notify you when the car ahead of you has pulled away (on the upper trims I think the ambient light strip flashes)? If you fall asleep at the wheel (or become incapacitated, e.g., from a stroke, etc.), would the car automatically put on the flashers and slow to a stop? Do you know what this feature is called?
Thank you for the view and Thank you for the awesome questions. I'll do my best to answer in order
1. Remote Start is included, however a con on new Toyota keys is the signal strength. (my 22 Venza is the same way)
I'll continue using the same numbering as my original questions:
New question:
6. Did you have room to negotiate at or below MSRP (after including add-ons/accessories)?
@@TheMaruMari1
No problem!
3. The car beeps to get your attention, and it may present a message on the HUD if you sit longer after the beep. But I don't see where an ambient strip might be presented. (I didn't have the will to sit any longer at lunch with cars behind me 😅)
Buffalo !! As soon as I saw the skyway I knew lol.
