i feel like i also have this problem of stopping mid sentence to find the right words for the next ones, especially when i talk in my native georgian, it seems rather strange, its liek i forget my words and then they all come back

I can totally relate to that! It happens to me too, even in my native language. Sometimes it feels like the words just disappear for a moment, but then they all come rushing back. It’s an interesting experience, isn’t it? 😊

@@Ray-in-Japan It is! i cant really understand it, its like the words come back for a moment and then if i try to remember what i was talking about with that same person, the words disappear in my head! very weird

The point where you said how you hear people speak fluent English and wish you were as fluent as them is the same way I feel about Japanese. I hear others speak so fluently and I put myself down wishing I was as fluent as them. Completely understandable.

Learning a different country's language is a long journey. Let's keep doing our best together!

I've had a different but similar experience. I have a lot of issues in my native language (English), but those issues vanish when speaking in other languages I know (Japanese is slowly becoming one of them). I wonder if this is a consequence of being poly-lingual; does the brain have certain thoughts associated with certain languages, meaning you can't access them all at once easily?

That’s a fascinating experience. I wonder if language truly shapes how we think and process emotions. Maybe different languages activate different parts of our brain, leading to unique thought patterns or even clarity in certain situations.

I like Back to the Future. I don’t really have a favorite actor. Actually, I’ve never been to any other Asian countries besides Japan, so I’d like to visit some. Also, I’ve never been to Europe, so I’d love to go to Italy. I mean, I love pizza!
