I remember having that RoboCop type. Officer Dice. Almost 12 years out and I will never for get that he planted stuff on people. Luckily we got to set him up. The other guards didn't like him at all like us prisoners, because he made it too stressful. They did a complete shakedown with dogs and found nothing. And there really was nothing that day. They did it without his knowledge, then had him come do a search. He "found" three pounds of tobacco in the cell block floor. They caught him on camera planting it. I think that was the only time where everyone on the block got along for a few days. No fights or even arguments, and the whole dorm celebrated with a huge noodle slam with about 50 bags of ramen! I'm sure we lose subs daily. But we gained more than we lose. Surprisingly we probably lose 100 plus a day. Regardless, like you said and I totally agree with. Cody will always be a part of APS.

I've been subscribed since your first couple videos! I am 26 years old I was a correctional officer, then got hooked on pain pills then moved on to heroin with my DAD! I ENDED UP stealing to support my habit my dad n i lost our families. Today we are both 3 years clean. Life is so much better I enjoy life now and I am still paying the price of my crimes I keep getting court dates for past crimes I committed whole under drugs. Whenever a young cute female guard was patting us down on the way to the yard, me and my crew would line up for the pat down and when we got done getting patted down, we would go back and get in line again. After patting us all down two or three times, the guard would usually be smiling and tell us to go on to the rec yard.

But here's what know ,someone correct me if I am wrong it's the same for convicts as well as the corrections officers? 1. you need to have Tolerance of all people. Some of the corrections officers are as bad as those convicts. I have seen Corrections Officers turn on other Corrections Officers as quick as the inmates do. Just be on your toes, do what the rules tell you to do. A lot of new C.O.'s who come into the system are weak and convicts love to set the new C.O.'s up. EXAMPLE: I want to see my grandmother can you bring me a needle to fix my cloths? Next can you bring me a Big Mack? A fifth of whisky? If not I will tell the watch commander. Convicts will put a wedge between the individual and the rest of the staff; EXAMPLE: They are treating you like they are treating us? 2. (Be Firm, Fair and Consistent)! Treat everyone equally, never do something for someone you can't do for everyone, if you give one person a cigarette give everyone one. BUT just don't do it, that's a way of setting yourself up to be under investigation - don't give anything unless it is told by the watch-commander. A lot of prisoners try to trap staff into bringing in contraband into the prison. 3. Offer inmates a way out rather then punishing them, usually that's by writing a charge, observation report, a charge and an incident report or all three followed by a street charge. Some institutions will have you do a serious incident report...Sometimes a Corrections Officer needs to write up an inmate because the prisoner is testing eater if you have the courage to write up a person or not. I have seen charges disappear before they go to the hearings officer but for new people working in the prison system. Prisoners will just test you to see if you have confidence in yourself to run a pod? New Officer just give a charge to a prisoner but there's other ways to punish the prisoners if your worked in the system for five years. 4. Confidence goes a long way. SAY NO if your not aloud to go against the rules of your pod - DON'T... A Corrections Officers your word is law! You see some contraband or an illegal act use your discretion, to write the person up or not? Sometimes the convicts will test you to see if you have what it takes to tell the prisoners to dump out the mash out or not? 5. When giving commands, talk to men and treat men like men but be authoritative: The whistle, voice, radio and the pod or tower are your best friends while working on the floor. 6. Understand how people operate, physiological interpretation and behaviour analysis. Follow these rules and inmates will respect you. 7. Your respect the convicts they respect you!
Back in the day everything wasn't in clear containers. I used to slice open the end of empty tubes of toothpaste with a razor blade at the seam, clean them out, hide my tattoo gun and stinger in them, then melt the seam back together and put it back in the box and glue the box closed. I had about 10 tubes and the rest were full of toothpaste. The guards used to search me everyday for months because people were snitching, but the guards never found anything. This is why now they only sell clear containers of toothpaste, deodorant, televisions, radios, etcetera.
Having done 16-years, I find these videos to be maybe a bit therapeutic .. finally someone besides me who understands what we've dealt with, and how it has affected us. I have a feeling that making these videos is also therapeutic. Excellent job.

I had a family member locked up for a period of time and we would send him mail every day. We live in Pennsylvania, we were pretty much able to send anything that was on paper that wasn't porn. We would write letters about stupid stuff like "the dog crapped on the sidewalk this morning" and we would also go on the internet and print off jokes, crossword puzzles, word searches, games, short stories, etc. After he got out he told us that not only did those letters keep him going on the inside, he was also able to barter the crossword puzzles and the jokes(a lot of Chuck Norris jokes) for various things he needed. He said mail was the highlight of the day and it didn't matter if they were grocery fliers, they had a use. Love your channel!!

You forgot the drug dog. The dude that walks in, looks around for 5 seconds, reaches under/behind/in something and boom. Yanks out a laundry bag of crap. Goes to the next cell and repeats it all the way down the hall. I remember a pyramid of contraband in the pod day room 6 feet tall from that one guard.
My father went to prison twice for drug possession. He also went in for sexual assault and attempted murder. The stories are crazy yes, but even a visit is enough to make you change your point of view.

Dude.... Do you honestly think even half the people locked up have ANY kind of money from the outside, or some sort of hustle? Most of these dudes are desperate to make a buck so they can keep a habit goin. They get caught and ALL bridges are burned (family, friend's ECT). If you are planning on doing time, your best bet is to get somewhat good at gambling.
One time,we had a shakedown during breakfast(which was like 5:30 am) as we were finishing up; boom! boom! boom! the guards were shutting the doors"Shakedown! Hurry up and finish go to the tv rooms"(there was 2 teirs both had tv rooms)Anyway I was cheeking my meds and had like 20 benadryls stuffed in my mattress and my bunkie had a joint in the spine of a book and some tobacco and matches in another mattress...We were trippin' like"bro wtf r we gonna do?Should we just tell em we got contraband?Fuck that let it ride."Long story short they didn't find that shit but I did get in trouble cuz I forgot to put away the benadryl I cheeked that mornings med pass(just 1 not the bundle in my mattress)...To this day my bunkie thinks the black guard who searched our room found the joint and just left it there cuz he didn't wanna do the paperwork or some shit cuz they shake all the books out they know that hiding spot cuz other ppl got popped for cigarettes and tobacco✌💚✌

I know there aren't many, but I'm talking like contacts/glasses, contact case/solution, any jewelry that can't come out like those diamonds embedded in your skin, wedding rings, religious items (crucifix, rosary beads, turban/headdress, etc.), watches, or even socks, undershirts, gym shorts, and whatnot. mix master depends on the facility. I was at a place that allowed porn but if they caught you jerkin it they'd give you a self mutilation charge. But mostly if it's not allowed it's because they feel it increases desire and could contribute to prison rape.
Anything that isn't issued to you or purchased by you from their approved companies is contraband even modification of allowed items turns them into contraband....in a way it's a huge racket on their behalf...ramen is normally what 10 for 1$ in a grocery store well on the inside it be as much as 2 $ from the commissary list and that for one packet....and most places unofficially allow a certain amount of contraband trade including drugs and ciggs or dip. Because it's creates a hyerarky amongst the prisoners and makes their job easier, and also lots of guards in those type of places make bank off of what comes in....cause they and their families are the ones bringing it in....also busts like he mentions look good for guards records and pay checks.....as well as new convictions

Hurry up and finish go to the tv rooms"(there was 2 teirs both had tv rooms)Anyway I was cheeking my meds and had like 20 benadryls stuffed in my mattress and my bunkie had a joint in the spine of a book and some tobacco and matches in another mattress...We were trippin' like"bro wtf r we gonna do?Should we just tell em we got contraband?Fuck that let it ride."Long story short they didn't find that shit but I did get in trouble cuz I forgot to put away the benadryl I cheeked that mornings med pass(just 1 not the bundle in my mattress)...To this day my bunkie thinks the black guard who searched our room found the joint and just left it there cuz he didn't wanna do the paperwork or some shit cuz they shake all the books out they know that hiding spot cuz other ppl got popped for cigarettes and tobacco✌💚✌

I know there aren't many, but I'm talking like contacts/glasses, contact case/solution, any jewelry that can't come out like those diamonds embedded in your skin, wedding rings, religious items (crucifix, rosary beads, turban/headdress, etc.), watches, or even socks, undershirts, gym shorts, and whatnot. Why does porn count as contraband
mix master depends on the facility. I was at a place that allowed porn but if they caught you jerkin it they'd give you a self mutilation charge. But mostly if it's not allowed it's because they feel it increases desire and could contribute to prison rape.
Anything that isn't issued to you or purchased by you from their approved companies is contraband even modification of allowed items turns them into contraband....in a way it's a huge racket on their behalf...ramen is normally what 10 for 1$ in a grocery store well on the inside it be as much as 2 $ from the commissary list and that for one packet....and most places unofficially allow a certain amount of contraband trade including drugs and ciggs or dip. Because it's creates a hyerarky amongst the prisoners and makes their job easier, and also lots of guards in those type of places make bank off of what comes in....cause they and their families are the ones bringing it in....also busts like he mentions look good for guards records and pay checks.....as well as new convictions
