The attack into the single track was actually a good idea but you should have used it as recovery on the single track as there is nowhere to pass, then jump on a wheel once you're back out onto the wider track.
Nice one Giorgio great result, I was cooked by the end and thats with one less lap than you guys! Not a great race for me, I never seem to fair very well at Matterley. Those ackward corners with those roots were a right pain, I honestly dont think there was a good line through them. See you at next one🎉. Hopefully the next Gorrick will be ok after all this rain🤞
I was cooked too it’s a brutal course that’s for sure, not a lot of rest! Agreed on the corners I just couldn’t get round the roots 😂 fingers crossed the weather picks up ready for next weekend!
So far so good, I’m not sure I have pushed them to the limit yet but hopefully that will come. Going from a 2.2 to a 2.4 has definitely given me more confidence and I feel like I am hitting corners with more speed than I did last year 👌 but still a lot to work on 😅
really nice content, enjoying your videos. Work on your breathing. You are pushing a lot in zone 4 with that heart rate and pushing your limits after 1 lap. Research breathing exercises. But if you ask me I would do this one. 45 minutes laying down on your back, put your hands on your diaphragm with no pressure, inhale 5-7 seconds, exhale 3-5 seconds. That exercise works on your muscle memory to have a stronger inhale and is expanding your lungs. If I didn't do it with my progress I wouldn't be able to climb the local hills at all.... Hope you find my comment helpful and looking forward seeing new content. Cheers!
Kishan - thats got to be the new signature move for anyone overtaking Giorgio from now on - absolute class 🙂
That will be the only time he overtakes me this year 👀😂
I wasn’t only talking about Krish 😏 I think this could be a signature overtaking move the “Rocket Chop”
Always improving.
What’s most ironic is the last 3 you’ve properly called out your own shortcomings. You make changes, and get better. Good job
🙌

I think just being in front of the elite boys I felt pressure to keep pushing on but I definitely paid for it 😅

Proper laugh out loud moment with Kishand's cameo 😂 Man's got some horsepower!
Those skinny legs can sure put down some watts 😂
😂The narration is quite enjoyable. The will to stay on Will's wheel kept you going🤣
The thought of riding into the headwind not on Will’s wheel was also a big motivation 😂😂
Loved it, Rome wasnt built in a day.Keep building on the explosive power, it WILL come together. Love the content.
Bike + comedy. Entertaining!
Your line choice was fine, it's always trickier if you're behind someone!
Thanks mate that was entertaining! Inspires me to get into training! From an old xc racer in Brisbane Australia
Love it! I’m glad it’s inspired you 🙌
Great content ! Had me absolutely engaged ! 😀
Awesome footage and commentary as always!
great racing, result and commentary GC...Kishan stole it though with that overtaking move :) gotta love a good XC race, cheers
Haha next time kishan does it I might just have to stick the elbow on him to slow him down 😂
@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling proper chopper move :)
Haha you're too funny! Man! Love it
🙌
Loved the attack!! What was the distance of this race? Love these thanks for doing them!!!
The attacked that killed me and everyone else was fine 😂😂 28km 👌
The boldness of it!!! 👍👏👏👏
Great vid and now I'm on the hunt for a pair bright blue Bermuda shorts for extra baggy power 💪
Guaranteed extra speed 😂
Great footage boi !
Mate, i Can honestly say. With a baby on my arm. I’m also terrified of high speed corners. Even with a 2.4 front tire 😂😅
😂 I can just feel the bike wanting to go 😬😂
Love the video, commentary and comments. ✌️ at the camera was brilliant. Useful to see your cadence, what was your average cadence?
Thank you and my average cadence was 81 for the race but varied from 4 to 175 😂
@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling Cool, thanks. See you at the next round. My son races the U16s.
Come ride the Whaka 100 in NZ , you’d love it 🎉
I would love to but I don’t think the budget stretched to NZ 😂
Well done xx
God, I love ❤ these videos.
How are you liking the aspens. ?

Good video
6:35 You shouldn't have taken that line!
👍
