I gotta think if we had drafted either Melo or Wade the Pistons definitely win in '04 and '05. Then, Ben Wallace had left the team...I don't think Ben would have left. I think they would have had a shot at a 3-peat for sure, and definitely would have stayed competitive for a good while. Now bosh, I'm not 100% sure because we had traded for sheed. So it wouldn't have been the optimal choice. We needed a wing, and Wade and Melo fit the mold perfectly. This mistake still haunts me. Also, damn you Spurs for making me cry as a kid watching you beat my pistons in the final few minutes of the '05 NBA Finals in game 7.
