Quite possibly the WORST thing Disney Star Wars has ever done! Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker was the finale to the Skywalker Saga, and it absolutely sucked. And while hated by nearly everyone, including most current Disney Star Wars fans... I was able to locate and compile a small handful of freaks who defended the film! Some defended out of love, some in the middle but due to their Disney Shill status, they had to defend it! All lunatics. This is quite possible the worst cope I have ever seen out of these people. I stopped watching him years ago. Jeremy Jahns at the very least seems to give a more honest take on things when compared, even if I don't always personally agree with them.
I prefer Jeremy Jaunhs. He's entertaining to watch. He's funny. He has no political agenda. He reviewed Sound of Freedom and gave it a good score while Chris didn't review that movie.

If nothing else, the Prequels did in fact try to tell a story. George Lucas at least had vison and tried to add to the backstory of his creation, even if the overall execution wasn't the greatest. Plus, if nothing else we got tons of great content out of the Prequels, from the video games, comics books, and animated spin-offs. Exactly, what has Disney's Sequels given of any worth?

The fact that Stuckmann failed to properly criticize how many insane plot contrivances and holes this movie had like the dagger that pointed to the exact location they needed to go based on an angle that would be impossible to recreate especially from a giant piece of debris in the ocean proves he doesn't care about proper critique anymore.
I had to unsubscribe a while back. He refuses to call out any production company since he started making his own movies. I can’t depend on him for an honest review.
Yeah. He's one of the OGs and I used to see his opinion regarding all movies before choosing what to watch, but slowly, over time, I unconciously stopped being intrested in what he has to say. Seeing him here just made me realise why.
And sad thing is that I don't think he does it on purpose. He just embraced a hippie flower-power stance where he doesn't call out bullshit, sacrificing honesty in the process.
Stuckmann is a shill, especially since he is trying to appeal to the Hollywood higher ups to make him a famous movie director. Any integrity he had is gone by this point.

I think these reviews show that these movies were made for clapping seal casuals rather than core fans. Disney made their quick buck, and simultaneously ruined the greatest IP in existence in under a decade. Rather impressive if you ask me.

If you take these movies as simple generic science fiction movies for casuals without a pre built fan base, then they are even worse. It's amazing how these people act like the simple act of admitting that a movie you like has flaws is some sort of torture method. We're not saying you can't enjoy the movie. We're just saying that you should accept that the movie in question has flaws, and acknowledge that even though you might not care about the flaws of a movie, other people might care a lot. I used to be like these sequel-tards, but instead of the Star Wars sequels, it was towards the indie pop band AJR. I used to go absolutely feral over anyone saying bad things about AJR and their music. But I eventually realized that I was being a bullying jerk. So I stopped being so harsh towards people who hate AJR, and just accepted that I'm in the minority and a ton of people hate AJR. I still love AJR to this day, I listened to their new album The Maybe Man, and it was beautiful. But I just let other people have their opinion, and go about my day. Once in a while I'll make a comment about AJR being on a worst list, and how they don't deserve to be there, but other than that, I let people have their opinion. And it's been nice. I've gotten a lot of respect and recognition from fellow internet peers, and it's kind of fun to see people be bewildered at someone liking AJR. And yeah, even as a fan of AJR, I'll admit that songs like Birthday Party and Netflix Trip are far from their best. Sequel stans on the other hand, will never have that internal growth that I did. They will never just accept that they're in the minority and let people have their opinions, the way I did with AJR. They're just going to continue to be bitter, angry bullies, yelling out false equivalencies, whataboutisms, and accusations of bigotry. Rather than just accepting the film's flaws and enjoying them for what they are, they deny that enjoyment, by having to constantly shield the films from even the most mild of sequel criticisms. The reality is they know that people like Mauler, Drinker, Nerdrotic, and others are completely right about the Sequel trilogy, and rather than accept that, they try to attack them, because "I CAN'T LIKE A MOVIE THAT HAS FLAWS! MOVIE HAS TO BE GOOD! THEY LYING! REEEEEEEEE". It's honestly just pathetic. And years from now, after the 1,0000000000000000000000000th Star Wars movie, they'll still be sucking Disney's t*t, their brain completely melted away, replaced with a grey blob that says "CONSUME STAR WARS CONTENT." They did that to themselves, and I don't feel bad for them at all.
I loved the prequels but I’m not blind. I can see why it had a mixed reception at release and can see the issues it has regardless of whether I agree with them or not.

I ain’t gonna lie, I shed a few tears during “Godzilla: Minus One”, it was genuine, very human, very sincere, and got its message across in a very subtle and hopeful way. And I had never seen a Godzilla movie before (minus some bits of the 2014 American one). What I’m trying to say is, shedding the tears felt natural from the scenes that happened and how it all paid off; it didn’t feel forced like the shills in these “reaction” vids.
I can’t imagine someone crying at rise of skywalker because of just how insincere and and awfully written the sequels are.

And Godzilla: Minus One had a budget of only 15 million dollars. That's an incredible accomplishment these days. The reason why we remember good movies years later is because they had good writing and well-developed characters. Absolutely NOBODY says, "Remember that time in 'Transformers' when one giant robot punched another one?" or "Star Trek: Into Darkness would have been perfect with just a few more Lens Flares."

Put the word “new” in front of Star Wars and you’d be right in most cases. I’ve enjoyed some of the new material, but that’s stuff like the last season of The Clone Wars and a few other things that are just “okay”. Which is a horrible sign for Disney because when Lucas was in control I’d go after every book they made.

I saw it in the theater because my 10 year old son was a Star Wars nut. I couldn't believe how bad it was, just scene after scene of sheer idiocy and plot hole after plot hole.

Btw having a woman be the protagonist of the main story line of Star Wars is woke in and of itself. It’s not like Kill Bill or resident evil where the protagonist was female from the beginning. Star Wars is a hero’s journey about Luke and Anakin and has like a 70% male fan base.
Casting a woman as the Prost would be like casting a man in twilight as Bella and making Edward a girl vampire. That would flop.

Was exactly what i did, saw TFA and knew immediately i was not gonna see the other two:) Saw and liked Rogue One though, it wasnt perfect by any means but it was Star Wars.

Im 49 yr old male. I watched the original star wars on VHS. I was 7yrs old when Return of the Jedi came out and how excited i was to see it. When the prequals came out i went to all the midnight screens. I did the same for the first 2 Disney Star Wars. At the end of The Last Jedi i felt empty and guttered in how they treated the fans and the charterers. I have still never started or want to start The Rise of Skywalker and it wasn't because of the leeks, i was just so over what they did and where doing to Star Wars and since then its gotten so much worse. And as Cartman would say "Put a chick in it, make her gay!"

I still think tlj is worse, from a lore standpoint. Im actually surprised jj was able to do any kind of movie after tlj. However, the bar was set so low saw this one with negative expectations. So hitting a zero was an achievement.

The force awakens is far too derivative of a new hope, and revenge of the sith has awful pacing, writing, acting and CGI.
With the exception of the music, phantom menace and attack of the clones are both terrible films. The last jedi had some redeemable qualities as well but is mostly bad, and the rise of Skywalker is just a generically bad film.

Here’s the thing about Poe saying “somehow Palpatine returned”: the problem isn’t really that he said it, it’s that we as the audience were given no context at all. He just says it out of the blue, with no buildup or anything. But I guess that’s what happens when the very important message the movie implied he sent out could only be heard in Fortnite.

I was born in 1980. I was the younger generation of Star Wars fan.
Most fans I know of a similar generation dislike Jar Jar/Gungans in main, and amusing in parts. That's the criticism we had with the prequels.
Anyone even thinking that the Disney SW is better than the originals is why the West will loose any military contest with Russia.
There's not a single true fan of good storytelling who is a fan of the Disney SW trilogy, and there never will be.
At this point, SW (Disney) is pretty much dead for me, and that hurts coming from a huge fan (read all EU books, love the OT and prequels, have loads of merch, games, etc.) but Disney completely killed the franchise. Until someone with balls comes and retcons what KK did, I am done with SW for good.
