That was a lot of work creating the sequences but it really paid off. Amazing that this "antique" can still hold its own today at the hands of a skilled player.
Wonderful! I clicked on this because I was surfing Stagea videos and didn't realize it was an HS until halfway through! Truly an underappreciated instrument. Great playing! Bravo!
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any free sites when I was learning it. There are a few music sheets available, but they're extremely over-priced. I learned it by ear. The song is in the key of F# minor.
I am buying a the HS-8 soon, I am changing it from my EL40. The biggest reason I like about this machine is that you can taylor it to you, and unlike the EL series, when you have heard one, you have heard them all. With this machine you can creat your own sounds. Nice drum sequencing btw.
Electone_Guy your welcome kind Sir! I miss playing that awesome keyboard HX8! I have a rom pack of that, the green one! I just can't find were I hid the thing. Haha p.s. I enjoyed playing the bass pedal!
I use to demo this awesome keyboard HX8! I used to work for Yamaha as a working student that is. funny my Sony Bravia is HX800 3D hahaha love the drum sounds of this board!
Hi There, Excellent sequencing. I used to play Electones, now I have a Roland Atelier, nice machine but I do miss my old US1. I spoke with Glynn Madden from Yamaha and he was telling me years ago the likes of organist George Fluery used to sequence the drums on the HX, HS,US1 models on Steinberg Notator via MIDI. Might be easyier to connect a computer and sequence that way. Just a thought :) Nice playing!!!
Thanks. The sequencing procedure on this machine is a complete pain in the butt. The Multi-menu buttons are poorly designed (like a common remote control) and the pads wear out over time. Yamaha really cheapened the build quality on the H series in comparison to the previous F series.
For a thirty year old instrument the HS8 still sound as good now as it did all those years ago .You played it beautifully well done
Well the original song was recorded in 1985...
Excellent! This always was a wonderful instrument when in the right hands!
I never get tired of listening to this :-)
If I could I would give you thumbs up again.

Wow great rendition on the good old HS-8 the flagship of the Electones in the 80th. Greetings from Germany Hannes
I think the flagship was the HX-1, but the HS-8 was pretty close.
You really nailed it, excellent.
Excellent !! You nailed it. Very good job !!
That's awesome! Thank you

@dino007 Shit, I deleted your comment by mistake... Took 3 freaking weeks to sequence the drums with the old interface on this keyboard.
Bravo❗

Hi, can I please use this music. I'll give you full credit
There's a copyright claim against the music, so it's not royalty-free
Where can I find the music notes to this track and other Vince Dicola music? I just bought a Yamaha DX7 and I want to learn how to play his stuff?
I have a Yamaha keyboard piano as well. Do u think u can send me the notes on how to play it? I'm on Google + and @MarcoBelinelli

Could you perform 'Flight of the Navigator' music on this please. :)
I dont like the sound of this organ it is synthetic
First, it's not an organ. It's a digital synthesizer. Second, synthesizer = synthetic.
