Hello guys!
I am back again with TV soundtrack series! Yeah, it's been a while since I recorded last OST cover video, I know!
After MacGyver, Interstellar, Knight Rider, Fort Boyard it's finally a time to play an epic piece composed by one and only Vince DiCola.
Do you guys know Rocky? Sure, everyone knows! So I decided to record this track as a small tribute to remind you this classic - in my interpretation - as usual! :D
This time I used Korg gear to record all instruments ...and had a lot of fun during recording!

Ok, now play Hearts on Fire. I love Dicola playing with Cafferty singing but just hearing Dicola's jam to that would kick major ass! Lots of good moments in music like the solo just before they shot that needle full of steroids into Drago. The detail in the music is so perfect. Why did he only do 3 film scores? I need more! I climbed to the peak of a mountain, arms raised and screaming "DICOLA"

Please tell me, who's better than Dicola on those classic keyboards? I'm waiting to see if I discover someone who might take his spot at my number 1. It's going to have to be an older veteran type such as Herbie Hancock or Tangerine Dream and I'd like to know reasons why. I too am influenced by the same people as Vince...Yes, Emerson etc. But what he did for a kid my age in the 80s with the Rocky IV score gives me chills just when I think about it. Only recently heard his score to Transformers 1986 movie and it was just as powerful on my ability to know talented synth/keyboard artists when I hear them. Maybe he was just there at the right place at the right time since Bill Conti was busy doing music for Karate Kid and performed as if his music for the film was equivalent to the training the actors did. I'd love to get a documentary or just any piece of info from anyone who can tell me more about this freakin masterpiece and how he pulled it off so quick at his young age. It's one thing to learn a cover but to create original music and incorporating all your talents into it for Stallone's next Rocky movie...how in the hell did he pull this off and give me my favorite written pieces on synth/keyboard from age 4 when I first heard it..to this very day? Sorry so long of a message. Thank you guys..u had me smiling ear to ear
