I'm an older lady and have fairly severe arthritis in my fingers. These ball exercises have helped considerably! And my grandchildren are memorized by it!
I always have such a hard time finding videos that satisfy my learning style. Thank you, good sir. Fantastic teacher.
My pleasure. That is really awesome to hear. Thank you very much.
I learnt juggling in few hours of practice, all credit goes to the friend who taught me . Its all about the teacher’s aura. I feel that in this video, just ordered a contact practice ball
I don't know how I ended up here but I have to say, this is some really wild stuff!
I am going to try these movements with my 4 kg shot put.
the amount of information in such a short time is mesmerizing, thank you Sir, and I wish you al the best for 2022
This video is really interesting. And I love the way you teach. Starting at the basics and slowly moving to complex patterns. It's a pleasure to learn from you Chris. I really appreciate this. And can't wait fro you to make more contact juggling tutorials

Anyone else gonna talk about the way his thumb curls back
Fantastic lesson, thank you for teaching us the dark arts
My favorite part of this whole video is the intro to pattern two (5:50-5:57).
Ha! Thanks. Some of my personality slipped out there. I'm slowly getting better at letting it slip through more often.
Except that pattern is impossible to do. The way the ball gets rolled winds up positioning a persons hands to where they wouldn't be able to let go of the ball and reset their position. Here is a video proving this:

Instructions unclear, summoned lesser daemon.
Seriously though, this video was amazing!! Perfect for helping me getting started with something I've been fascinated with since I first saw Labyrinth. Thank you for this!
Actually you're correct.
The explanation in the video makes the move impossible to do.
2 things on opposite ends (in this case left and right hand), being pushed towards each other won't allow movement on either end. There is no possible way his left and right hand would ever be able to get near the ball in order to switch hands and continue the move.
Cool
congrats on 150!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

great tutorial bro
Jjuan Ringgold Thanks a bunch! Glad you enjoyed.
Holy shit! You have such pretty hands!
Thanks! I grew them myself using sandwiches.
very good tutorial. thanks. quick observation: be careful with your left thumb. for a lot of the time, you had that thing VERY hyper extended. that could cause an injury or pain later, esp using a heavy ball.
obce Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed! And don't worry about that thumb. That's how it naturally bends on my left hand. Funny story, my dad has two straight thumbs, and my mom has two thumbs that curve back like on my left hand. I got one of each!
obce I laughed so hard at your comment. I realize you were trying to do something nice. But anyone with a brain could tell his thumb does that naturally.
My fushigi is about to get polished!

I bought an acrylic ball on Amazon to really get into this and it’s so heavy to hold up ! And I think my hand is too small .. there’s not much distance to roll to lol!
thanks a lot - any chance of covering other tricks?
My pleasure, very happy you enjoyed. I do have plans for other tutorials on contact ball techniques. The next technique that I plan to cover is palm spinning. It can take me a while to get around to making these comprehensive tutorials, but you should expect a palm spinning tutorial before spring.
Thanks for the great video! Any window on how long it usually takes to get the 1st step down?
Dee Fenestration You are very welcome. To answer your question, it depends. It may only take a few minutes to master the first step if you have related experience doing coordinated movements with both hands, like video games, knitting, playing instruments, sports, dancing, etc. It may take longer if you’ve never done anything like that with your hands before. My advice is don’t think about how long the process takes. Practice the step until the movement feels comfortable and natural, however long it takes, and then move on. Thank you for asking 😀
@@learningtolearn9356 Thanks for your reply. It may take me a minute from this info.
2:08 To review position A/B
3:59 For pattern one
"the chance of dropping your ball is low"
lol we'll see about that. will update.
Honey Boom Ha! Good luck!

Hi. I'm an actor in Chicago and have to do some kind of contact juggling for say 30-60 seconds for one of my characters. Any chance you could give me a few lessons somewhere sometime? I am in rehearsal now and the show goes up in mid-January. I've just purchased a 110mm crystal ball for this. Thanks, rob
That's amazing! But where I can buy this glass ball?
It’s called a contact juggling ball. It’s made out of acrylic. Just do an online search for it and you can find them from a variety of online retailers.
i love you
Hi! Im super interested in contact juggling and got an acrylic ball for it for christmas. Its super hard though but I really enjoyed your video. Just wondering how long it took you to get that good
That's awesome! Very happy you're giving it a try. Some techniques are more difficult then others. I've been working with multi-ball contact juggling for about 3 years on and off. The techniques in the video I hammered out within the first year. If possible, bring the ball with you wherever you go, so you can practice at any opportunity.
Obrigada, a minha filha pequenita ficará encatada...abraço de paz

What size is the yellow ball?
how fragile is it? because I bought one this summer after years of wanting one + learn but I'm terrified of dropping it and making it crack and that the crack would ruin the illusions
I want to know why there isn't a single video anywhere that shows anyone doing this move with a ball that weighs 1lb or more.
A heavier ball wouldn't make the move look any different. The concept of the move stays the same no matter how heavy the ball is.
Hi bro, I'm just learning contact juggling I noticed that the date you posted this video is the exact date when Me and my ex girlfriend became official.
So wait a minute...that can only mean one thing. I must be your ex girlfriend.
This video made me realize i have very small hands...

There is no way this dude's left thumb isn't broken or something because jeez look at that backwards bend
Bluity Ha! Just a combination of double joints and genetics. Both of my mom’s thumbs look like my left thumb, and both of my dad’s thumbs look like my right thumb. I got one of each.
That's actually very interesting! Thanks for letting me know. I was seriously concerned when I first made the comment.
