I have this same bike, I live in the perfect place for such a bike. A village in Holderness near to Spurn Point, flat land, virtually no traffic. Many riverside tracks, country lanes, wildlife to see, all within easy reach. I can ride around all day, no with no effort. I have the Engwe rack bag perfect for stowage of anything I want to take with me, cameras, food and water etc. The bike is stored in my apartment utility room when not in use, so no worries with parking outside exposed to the elements. I cannot praise this bike enough.
Hi there and thanks for the feedback, it really is a great bike isn’t it ! Especially when you go into the settings and see what else it can do … the lcd display is great too, and fair play the front light is really bright 👍👍❤️🙂
I love that you both have integrity and review only items you feel fit you and your channel rather than accept every offer you’re sent. Hopefully a company will send Corinne a bike more suitable for her too.
Aww Thankyou ❤️ we have been offered some super duper bikes, but none were road legal, it would be unfair to recommend buying something and then it gets confiscated, police in our local area are having a clampdown and taking them away, this bike is great, we’ve seen a few bikes we might buy as they suit Corrin better , thanks so much for your lovely comments xx 🎄❤️
I've got a white engine x, had it 3 weeks. already done some upgrades. a bikeroo wide saddle, topeak trunk bag, 203mm front disc with adapter. a 11/28 freewheel because 7th gear isn't tall enough (standard freewheel is 14/28) some nice handle bar end rear view mirrors, front and rear indicators. I weigh 110kgs and don't let that 250w put you off, I bought it because unlike other cheap ebikes that run a 36v system this uses 48v via a 13ah battery and it has 55nm ot torque and trust me it has no trouble hauling this suet pudding along😂
@simonjohnhinton1938 😂 lovely honest appraisal about its pulling power ! Yes, gotta say I really like it , and will now do a few upgrades, thanks for the ideas ! It really is comfy and the battery seems to go forever, and the big bonus is it’s 100 percent legal to use … thanks for sharing your experience and probably costing me money to do the upgrades 🤣👍👍🚲
Love this bike 😍 but I’m the same as Corrin, no way would I be able to lift it 😂 great review, very in-depth you certainly know all about it when you’ve finished watching. Hope you get a smaller bike soon hun ❤ xxx
I'm confused, so if you have your bike chained up and remove the key, the battery can be removed/stolen? And if I leave the key in, thieves can turn the bike on and flee? Fantastic video by the way.
They key has to be in to release the battery , so it has two functions … turn the bike on, release the battery , and yes, like your car, if you leave the keys in, it can be driven away 🙂👍
We just couldn’t recommend something that could be confiscated, so held out for legal 👍 Ref the stag, 1977, black, original 3ltr V8…. Comes out to play more than the bike 😂 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment
@@redsgotravels it was yes. He still has a 59 frog eye Sprite which he bought new with hardly any miles on it. I have a 81 XR3 for the summer months. It is nice to keep these old cars going.
throttle is legal at 3.7 mph start offs. Watch the saddle when lifting..and an awkward bit from a bike insurance company. Couldn't get any more grey areas than that The fact you can restrict your e-bike to 15.5mph does not make it legal for use on British roads if the motor is rated at about 250W. Hi John, appreciate the comments, all I know is that this bike is certified and eu approved and road legal, with a 250 watt motor , appreciate there may be grey areas, so thanks for clarifying and watching 👍
@@redsgotravels I had to cancel any black Friday purchases what with good deals going on. I could have taken a risk because what could happen after the e scooter pilots go back to parliament, e bikes get dragged in at some point. If parliament said yes it is ok to restrict a 500w to 15 mph, can relax then but they won't now because other change their settings to do 30. Daft thing about it is, if someone changed their setting to 20 mph and pedaled behind someone who has an e bike and was pedalling after the cut off, they can't tell the difference between the two
@@redsgotravels engine X is on my wishlist. At first I thought how the heck am I going to get it indoors. The grab handle could come in handy then thought is it a bit too low but would get the same with ep2, little kerb ramp
@johnsouthwales1078 once you fold the pedals in, it’s quite narrow, the handlebar drops , making it less bulky , even tho it’s 30 kg it’s quite manageable up and down kerbs, wouldn’t fancy steps tho ! Good choice, we do have a discount code and perhaps you can use it on the Black Friday discount too !

Nice vlog and well done for insisting on a UK road legal version. But enough of the bike, tell us more about the Stag in the garage 😀

Is that a triumph Stag that I can see in the garage 😮
Well spotted 👌👍 1977 stag with original v8 still in 🙂 used regularly 🙂
@redsgotravels lovely car my dad had one when I was younger it was burgundy I think he's on about buying another one Mk 1 or Mk 2 in yellow
@paulgleeson1456 love mine, the grand tour on tv did the model a favor ! They certainly did some radical colours back in the 70s ! ❤️👌
Cool bit of kit guys
Yes it’s nice, and very smooth in its use, very pleased with it ❤️
Nice Stag 👍🏻👍🏻 is it original or with a Rover conversion?
Thanks!
Fully original 3ltr V8, only change from original is colour, which happened in 1984 , originally was Tahiti blue. Had it for 3 years

Yes it is a minefield, which is why we did our research and accepted this one as it ticks all the current legal boxes
