I've been seeing a slow leak on mine lately - I'll definitely do this and see if it helps, Thanks for sharing!

There is another press on clamp on the other side of that hose that leaks too. You have to take apart the plastic compressor shroud to access it.

I got the 20 gallon about 2 years ago and it used to cycle every 2 days now every day. I don't hear a leak but it runs the same whether I have my hose plugged in or not. I'll take a look at that clamp. Seems it should hold the air for more than a day or two.

I have the same 20 gallon 1, it blew out my outlet tube seal, I’m going to put new AC Orings on it & hopefully that works, the green automotive AC o rings

I have the 28gal one, and it says it goes to 200psi, but shuts off 170ish. I also have a leak, but can’t find it

I got a 20gallon husky. And it's not reaching 165 max pressure. It's stopping at 150. And leaking slowing. What should I do

I watched the review on the HF where you returned that compressor and got this one about a year ago. For some reason, it popped up again. I was wondering how it held up. I looked and I saw this review. Anyway, how's it holding up after another year? From what I've gathered, the cold start valve, which sounded like the problem you had, and reeds breaking sounds rather common for that HF. I'm ready to move, so I'm waiting to get a new compressor. I'm also looking at the Sanborne 30 gal. from Menards.

After a year of normal use its performed and held up very well. This leaking clamp is the only problem I've had. Still going strong.

You dont drain your tank between uses?

Epibloger no, takes to long to build air back up. I turn the water drain at the bottom every couple weeks to drain moisture.
