I’ve labbed him quite a bit and I will say that he’s not completely unusable as he can act as hard survival on slower Buster teams against enemy NPs when Merlin’s illusion is down. His crit damage, while not on super Orion levels, can kill enemies with 150k hp on neutral when buffed. His third skill’s secondary effect is something that isn’t relevant 90% of the time and is a bonus more than anything. His biggest issue is, as many people have said, that slower defensive teams are not exactly in high demand unless they’re arts. So not amazing, but not awful and can fulfill niches that Mash cannot.
The h at the start of many greek words in english is a actually a feature of ancient greek where they added a half silent h at the start of many words that was represented by a half moon above the letter. It was pronounced differently among different ancient greek dialects and changed overtime. In modern greek it has disappeared but it still exists in english words as an h (english took words from ancient greek and not modern greek) i think your pronunciation was fairly good for ancient greek. Btw this h is the same h as in the word history. In modern greek history its istoria but again in ancient greek there was that weird h at the start
At least for other 5*, they have a use if you snort enough copium. There is not enough copium for Constantine unless they do an entire revamp for him like MHX.
I got a friend who picked him up as a trophy husband, and after playing with him in the servant quests, the man really needs a skill and np upgrade for real
Got him from 90 SQ for 3 reasons: 1. No one rolls for him, so it'll be hard to try him from support 2. ROMA meme comps 3. Closest thing to a servant I want in FGO Poor Michael still needs a buff tho.
Welp, guess I better get a high dose of copium, cause I did unironically roll for him since I’m all about the Roman memes since I got a fully grailed Romulus=Q that I’m all about giving friends to. Foolish decision, but I stand by it. So pray I can make something work with the last king.
Constantine works better in more typical slow Buster teams with Merlin over any memey Roman teams, though a team of Romulus, Merlin and Constantine could probably clear most things
Finois just memeing here, Constantine is doing so many things, that if one of them doesnt work perfectly in some composition, it doesnt make him a bad servant.
If this man wasn’t a 5-Star, would he have been viable either as a 1-3 star or welfare 4-Star? And if not “viable,” at least maybe tolerable? He just seems like a much lower-rarity servant with his design, or if not low-rarity, then early-era FGO.
Ultimately, his competition is Mash, who is better at giving defensive buffs to the party (without Roman restrictions) better at Buster crit shenanigans via Ortinax, AND FREE. Man never stood a chance.
@@PanoryConstantine has considerably higher crit damage and is better for providing hard defense on slower Buster teams. Ortinax Mash’s bigger upside is that she has 2 traunt effects and an invul tied to 1.
@@blurb9319 And yet still, I (along with many others) would still feel cheated by spending money on a 5 star servant when I can acheive quest completion with plenty of cheaper alternitives, who can do what he does just as well. the name that we use is adapted fron the greek name. the greek name, Ἁγία Σοφία, has a rough breathing, so the “h” sound is appropriate (because of English’s relationship with Greek, the adaptation is pretty much 1:1) there is a (minor) question of whether or not the gamma is a modern or ancient sound, as they are described by ancient linguists as a hard-g and they are used by modern speakers as more of a yod. dating the building to the 6th century CE would imply an ancient pronunciation there is a Turkish name, which is also an adaptation from the Greek name, but the building was initially named in greek (church of the holy wisdom of god) in sum: you pronouned it fine
Ayy, Constantine's got a buff now. Guess it had 2 weeks to be relevant before it's not completely relevant? I still find it funny that they doubled down on his support side rather than focus on having him be the best tanky DPS option there is that isn't "Castoria combo mania".
imagine my shock when I tried him out in the trial quest and found out his defense up from NP only lasts *1 turn*. Like bro... this is why Mehmed & the Ottomans won
I'll admit that I find him the most forgettable SSR Servant name wise because I can't remember to spell his name properly, so I resumed calling him Michael. Konstantine was actually the only gacha servant this year i was genuinely looking forward to and willing to spend for this year lol i got him in 30 pulls, no need to spend, very happy
The funniest thing is i played with those trial quest and actually used him to keep the roman alive, and it was always easier to be using mash and george
I think the best way to use his first skill is to use it with his NP, especially if he has Arts Card. That way, he draws the enemy's attention while his buffs are up, while also gaining more NP charge to use his NP next turn, somewhat alleviating the duration issue. Still isn't that great, but for what it's worth, I had fun using him in those trial quests. Probably helped that I mostly used Santa Martha as the third frontliner though 😅
It’s cool that they tried something with him, but that’s not a kit I would put on a limited SSR. If they had to make him SSR no matter what, they could have made him permanent.
I was today years old when I found out that his NP Invul isn't party-wide or for a whole turn. I thought he was a weird Jeanne, but he can't even pull that out... Geez
Yeah, for the exhibition quests I found it was best to just pull a Shimousa and send Constantine to the back line while my own units took care of things (and even then Shimousa had at least *some* fights where the forced Musashi could get the job done). I've found that a team-up of the El-Melloi siblings can hold the line pretty effectively, though I doubt we're wanting for cheaper options that can still out-perform our unfortunate Byzantine emperor.
I mean all his list year were wack, Space/S.Kiara and Kama are all the same rank but he lowers Space and Kiara for no reason. And lets not forget Jinako smh.
I find him to be alright personally, him releasing before mighty chain gave people bad impressions I feel like(Since he felt way better with mighty but people wrote him off as dogshit by then). But yeah I would still pick something like Ozy over him. Also if they were to buff him I hope they go the dps route.
Okay, I'm feeling a little better after having done those LB6-esque trash mob quests that force you to use him. When I first used him there, he felt like a weird version of Leonidas without the taunt. Except Leonidas actually does the defense stuff better, even accounting for the one hit invincibility (which barely makes it worth it). I'm disappointed that Constantine sucks this badly.
I feel like giving Constantine a 3 turn taunt instead of a 1 turn taunt would fix so many of his issues and actually make him a quite usable Servant. Taunters are most useful for Berserker DPSs, who tend to be buster focused, so his combination of taunt and attack/buster buffs would give them protection while not sacrificing a ton of damage. If he's taking hits for 3 turns, he can get his NP more consistently for an extra turn of full defense, and is also way more likely to proc his third skill's buff transfer.
Lots of servants get called terrible but when actually using them they end up playing pretty fine. Regular Abby being pretty good for some lottery and 90+ quests. Summer Abby in general, 50% battery and can use her skills to help support your main dps. But I really don't know how to get the most out of Constantine. Using him in those trial quests, he was very underwhelming, the defence just wasn't there and felt like mash would have been a better choice in any situation. He needs something to make him shine a bit more.
Abigail summer also has 70% def down and 30% buster res down, for raids/Ordeal call 1T nodes she is better than a second Oberon if you have 30% charge and no crazy high atk skill on the ST. Can ignore some raid gimmicks like we had in gudaguda by removing buffs as well. she is legit top tier in a type of node even at np1 before any buff
The exhibition quests succeeded. In making me really like Taisui. I got obliterated twice using the frontline I was given, and just ended up swapping out for a Taisui/Castoria frontline. He really doesn't care too much about class advantage as long as the trash mobs die, since his st damage comes from those curses. Defense strats? Nah, just rip through all the enemies by turn 7.
blud, idk if you've been reading fgo for the past decade, but just because you were a loser/failure doesnt stop you from being a Servant. Not the problem here. Its the kit and his gameplay that is
@@jongab2761 i never said he couldnt. its his kit, like his life choices: a failure. Btw it was his own hubris to provoke Mehmed II. He really shouldnt tried to blackmail him.
I dropped Percival on those quests and Constantine only noteworthy contribution to team defence has been a single turn per every six turns of Percy tanking and spanking the enemies.
is there... already, or going to be, a quick NP servant that fills the same role as Constantine and Mash? Theoretically you could try to run the three of them at the same time once they exist for a stupidly defensive team, I guess? Not that it would be good, but you could pop their NPs all on the same turn for silly meme reasons and cause something silly to happen, I guess?
Man to be honest when I see this guy, I always think of George seriously like his a *5 star version of him with mash skill, but even with that mash out performs him as a sustain
In those Protect Rome Quests, I used him for the first two turns and swapped him out for Mash and just used her to defend. I dont know what they were thinking with Constantine's kit, but its not good.
I did not see anything about this servant until now, but I've been to Ayasofya. Now he feels cool, but not enough to make me waste S Skadi and Sen no Rikyu funds.
For these Constantine CQs, I got bored of trying to be clever and my plan is to let turn one hit as it pleases, have Constantine taunt turn 2, turn 3 swap to level 1 Leonidas, turn 4 I bring out chavelier de eon with guda guda poster girl (the most unnecessary ce combo ive ever run) and they will evade for turn 4, probably live through turn 5, maybe die turn 6, merlin has been here the whole time for an aoe invuln for turn 7.
I feel like he should have been an immortal Rider considering that he stood his ground for 52 (I think?) days just to save his citizens according to history. If anything, his skills and NP should have been "Party wide except self" Buff kinda thing. He also seems to be outclassed by Boudica who synergizes well will Arts Supports like Mash and Castoria and correct me if I'm wrong but isnt she ironically also used alongside Roman trait Servants as a meme and does a decent job?
I was extremely hyped when he was announced, so they had to try really hard to make me skip him. I mean, he has design, VA,lore and a beautiful NP animation, how can his kit be this bad?! Like, I fully invested on prebuff Salter, Yan Guifei and grailed Inshun to 100. But Konstantin is too much. He needs massive buffs, like OG Kiara did, imo
Konstantin was so bad, that in my experience in his personal trial quest, it's better to just swap him with Castoria and loop with Muramasa to clear the mobs. His on death buff is for the right most servant, while the target that need to be protected is on the left. The position doesn't even make any sense. If only his taunt lasted for 5 turns on 6 turns cool down. That'll justify his rarity at least.
1:23 This is the reason why i skipped him and never thought of rolling for him, he just looks.. goofy? I don't know what's so wrong about him, maybe the head is too big.

@@keroro407 dont slander George!
@@Treasure_hunter_21I didn't intend to slander Saint G. What I meant by "cheap" is a positive thing.
The F**k are you talking about?Mention that dammitm
Ah, yes. The Dehya of FGO.
Basically waiting for a new support or mechanic that can make him even marginally viable.
And 2 weeks later he gets a buff that makes him amazing
One more buff and we're golden ✨️
This didnt age well LMAO.They buffed him to spite Fino
Fino: I'm reviewing the worst 5 star
Everyone: do you have any idea how little that narrows it down?
not really...
No not really, other than Constantine, I can’t think of another shitty five star.
At least for other 5*, they have a use if you snort enough copium. There is not enough copium for Constantine unless they do an entire revamp for him like MHX.

I got a friend who picked him up as a trophy husband, and after playing with him in the servant quests, the man really needs a skill and np upgrade for real
Got him from 90 SQ for 3 reasons:
1. No one rolls for him, so it'll be hard to try him from support
2. ROMA meme comps
3. Closest thing to a servant I want in FGO
Poor Michael still needs a buff tho.

@@blurb9319 thx for the notice. I will most definitely try that out :3
Finois just memeing here, Constantine is doing so many things, that if one of them doesnt work perfectly in some composition, it doesnt make him a bad servant.

If this man wasn’t a 5-Star, would he have been viable either as a 1-3 star or welfare 4-Star? And if not “viable,” at least maybe tolerable? He just seems like a much lower-rarity servant with his design, or if not low-rarity, then early-era FGO.
No. Even among F2P there are way better option. If he was Quick, not a Rider and free then maybe he has a shot.
If his Buster was at least AoE and last multi turn, he'd be slightly better
Money, Time, & patience come into play here as well, and are equivical in this instance
the name that we use is adapted fron the greek name. the greek name, Ἁγία Σοφία, has a rough breathing, so the “h” sound is appropriate (because of English’s relationship with Greek, the adaptation is pretty much 1:1)
there is a (minor) question of whether or not the gamma is a modern or ancient sound, as they are described by ancient linguists as a hard-g and they are used by modern speakers as more of a yod. dating the building to the 6th century CE would imply an ancient pronunciation
there is a Turkish name, which is also an adaptation from the Greek name, but the building was initially named in greek (church of the holy wisdom of god)
in sum: you pronouned it fine
Rome has fallen, it's Constintover 😱😱😱
Well at least he's really popular with actual FGO artists
I've seen so many artists obsessed with him
They really fucked up by showing us how bad Constantine XI with those quests.
Like bro... this is why Mehmed & the Ottomans won
....I believed that his Def was for 3turns from when he launched in Jp,imagine my shock when I found out it was 1 freaking turn????
@@pranavshinde4472well he dont have enough budget to fix the walls😂
Literally from Zero to Hero. That NP buff was insane and him the perfect buster support.
What happened to the short lil history section.
I'll admit that I find him the most forgettable SSR Servant name wise because I can't remember to spell his name properly, so I resumed calling him Michael. And I talked to someone else about his name, and they said that they call him Mickey, so I made a joke fanart of Mickey Mouse wearing his clothes, and it definitely gave off Kingdom Hearts Mickey vibe.
Ahem....

only good thing i'll say about this guy (outside of his role in the plots he's featured in, i though he was fun in chaldea boys and im curious what he'll be like in traum) is that when rolling for him he gave me my 5th Kscope, allowing me to enter the superscope club early. yes im a psychopath, what tipped you off?

Konstantine was actually the only gacha servant this year i was genuinely looking forward to and willing to spend for this year lol
i got him in 30 pulls, no need to spend, very happy
I thought I hadn’t seen a servant history in a while. I miss those! They are what turned me on to your channel!
Well at least they took the dying empire thing seriously coz this his kit definitely is helping it die faster.
I pulled him. From my Destiny Order summon LMAO
Straight up yeeted all his exhibition quests by running Castoria and then swapping him out with an NP5 Percy immediately lol
I was today years old when I found out that his NP Invul isn't party-wide or for a whole turn. I thought he was a weird Jeanne, but he can't even pull that out... Geez
I also cannot wait for his history lesson!
At least Abigail now has some company down there in the tierlist.
But I'm quite hyped for Creamhild (although I didn't get her... yet).
Bro is literally power crept by Mash the character you fucking start the game with even pre Camelot Mash is better than Constantine
me who literally just pulled him 5 minutes ago because my brain had an aneurism and mistook him as iskandar 😭😭
Thanks, now I regret wasting free quartz because I thought he would make a good invicible buff or something...

The fact that Myst put him into A tier is crazy.

When I first use his np in that quest, my first thought was like : yea, he's an expensive Mash with buster only support, that's all 😅
Okay, I'm feeling a little better after having done those LB6-esque trash mob quests that force you to use him. When I first used him there, he felt like a weird version of Leonidas without the taunt. Except Leonidas actually does the defense stuff better, even accounting for the one hit invincibility (which barely makes it worth it). I'm disappointed that Constantine sucks this badly.
I knew he was bad since his first banner on JP, but still spent 230+ SQ on him on NA because of waifu factor💪
"Mom! I want a 5★ Servant!"
"We have a 5★ Servant at home."
5★ Servant at home:
I hope he gets a rank up in his skills
Guess I’ll settle for the history section for this guy then
I feel like giving Constantine a 3 turn taunt instead of a 1 turn taunt would fix so many of his issues and actually make him a quite usable Servant.
I mean they completly replaced him with Andromeda.......Who also isn't that great but has a 3T taunt and 3T buffs so ya better.
no wonder he rebelled on traum, he hated his kit that much
Lots of servants get called terrible but when actually using them they end up playing pretty fine.
@@GS_CCCher best gimmick his Buff Removal that's why that annoying Brat is cool.

In those Protect Rome Quests, I used him for the first two turns and swapped him out for Mash and just used her to defend. I dont know what they were thinking with Constantine's kit, but its not good.
If his NP buffs applied to the whole party instead of just himself and his taunt was for 3 turns, I could see him being in a niche setup, but alas
Good news, he just got buff
Konstantin was so bad, that in my experience in his personal trial quest, it's better to just swap him with Castoria and loop with Muramasa to clear the mobs.
His on death buff is for the right most servant, while the target that need to be protected is on the left.
The position doesn't even make any sense.
If only his taunt lasted for 5 turns on 6 turns cool down. That'll justify his rarity at least.
1:23 This is the reason why i skipped him and never thought of rolling for him, he just looks.. goofy? I don't know what's so wrong about him, maybe the head is too big.
A rider trying to provide stars to anything else without star absorb targetted or star absorb down self like we have with bart, habetrot or maybe just gen enough stars for it not to matter like astolfo
Why is his on death effect tied to the battery that feeds his NP that makes it hard for him to die?
