Came here after seeing a post on Reddit from SgtButterBean. This looks amazing! Thanks for showcasing this mod! Going to give it a try right now.

great showcase, really explained everything well HOWEVER...
do NOT disable sun rotation like you did at the start, if you do this the sun won't work properly, you won't have a day/night cycle and planet will be illuminated from the wrong side.
-someone who just spent 30min trying to fix this "bug" :p

That is so crazy because yesterday I did this the same way and had no trouble! Maybe I misclicked it or something got updated, I'll put that as a note in the video asap! Thank you 😁

Hello! I noticed that you like reality. Realistically gravity falloff should be 2, but the actual effect might not be very real because falloff radius can not be set to 0. There is a certain radius after which it falls off in game, and it is likely that 600 km damage radius you have set, although i am not sure. In reality there is no such range.

In my defense I had played close to 1000 hours before getting it on steam, I had pirated the game before planets were introduced and lived on here! I also slowed down a lot in the last 2 years as life takes more of my time away, but I still love this game to bits, up there with ARK 😊

Few questions: How stable is this mod? Any crashes or stability issues, have you built any large grids in it? Do you know if the contact encounters work on it? Really appreciate the video, by the way!!

If you set a high eccentricity, enter the orbit of the planet with a ship at its apogee and then exit at it's perigee, assuming you have an unlimited speed mod, will you inherit the momentum or just be flung out of its influence at the speed you were going relative to the planet?
What happens when the orbital zone radius of a planet overlaps another planets orbital radius zone?
Also, do laser antennas work from the surface of a planet to freespace? Come to think of it, do regular antennas work?
    Very very cool.

If this were implemented for MP. Eccentricity, would be a fascinating element - since certain celestial bodies would only be able to land upon - at certain locations ( grid speed limits ). So there could be a window of opportunity to say land on a moon , get some ore - and get off - otherwise your stuck on the surface...

This mod is 100% operable in multiplayer, the only caveat being you have to create the system in a non-dedicated server, or singleplayer mode. I use eccentricity in a similar manner, as well as sometimes using it as a slingshot to outer systems. I've used the idea in Kerbal Space Program as well, though not as static-efficient as this mod allows.
