@@rascototalwar8618 You have reason, I guess some will have a natural calling to pursue the extreme. In that case the wonder mountains should yeild Tourism and Culture
You know what is the funniest thing? That whole, "focus on culture and everything will come together" idea? Thats actually the meta strat in competitive Civ6, which i find kinda hilarious. As it turns out, Culture having immediate returns, in the form of Policy Cards, gives it quite the tempo advantage over Science
It’s very strange to me because I find culture so useless so often. There are often a lot of cards I don’t need to change. New governments are nice but aren’t stronger than tanks and nukes. I just don’t see how you’re supposed to use culture to overcome a science deficit. This gameplay features very pacifist AI.
@@GoBlueHTB Well, Culture Advantage gives ya a bunch of bonuses that are immediately powerful, and that, specially on a balanced setting, such as PvP, give you a considerable edge. To name a few, you get the +4 combat bonus from Oligarchy and the +5 from Fascism, you get the Corps and Army civics for big boosts in unit streng, you get the Professional Army card for half-gold price unit upgrades, allowing you to quickly mass an army through pre-builds, as well as the Retinues card for half-Strategic Resources cost, you get Military Alliances in Civil Service for yet another +5 combat bonus, as well as getting Spies in this same civic for extra Diplomatic Visibility, which also gives a combat bonus, etc. Having a Culture Lead can allow you to have a bigger military, through pre builds, can give you combat bonuses that, when stacked together, give you a big advantage, and, more importantly, gives you immediate economic returns to allow you to snowball harder. This is one of the big reasons for it being preffered over Science a lot of the time. Though Science gives you a lot of economic and military bonuses, the great majority of them, such as unlocking a next tier of units, or a new distric/building, dont really do anything UNTIL you build them, while culture immediately starts paying back on the investment Another reason why Culture gets a bit undervalued in single player is that players kind of ignore the bonuses that you can get through it a lot of the time. To give an example, in Domination, just through getting a Military Alliance, and taking Fascism and Oligarchy as two of you Legacies, you can get an extra +14 combat bonus over your opponents, which is a BIG deal, given that a difference of 14 combat strength is enough to shave an extra 40% HP per attack, being quite hard to surmount. Add to that, as for example, a timing push with Mercenaries to upgrade a bunch of prebuild, or having a Core/Army advantage over your opponent, or getting visibility bonuses from Spies, and you start having a problematic amount of combat strenght over opponents very quickly. Its also important to note that in most cases, any 3 of those combat bonuses from the culture three are enough to equal a difference of a single tier in terms of units, since each unit upgrade gives around a ~15 combat strength bonus, and most of the bonuses you get from culture lay somewhere around ~5 combat strength (With Corp and Armies both giving a *+10*. A Corp of units one tier of tech below than an enemy, with a Military Alliance, is enough to go toe to toe, on average. But by that point, you should also have spies, Oligarchy, etc., making up for the few outliers that get a +20 boost and ending up actually stronger that the cases where the increase is just a +10)
It’s kinda funny that Macchu picchu isn’t as great a wonder for the Inca since they want terrace farms there or the preserves as Ursa has shown. Granted ursa has plenty of mountains to work with
Bro check your typos before posting lol... but yeah Hungary is easily S tier. Levied units is really just a cherry on top, the real highlight is 50% towards river districts
since Civ 5 my best playthroughs have always been with the Inca - before I start I have to point myself to a certain win strategy or I get lost building terrace farms XD
Haha - I'm a big preacher of not using a mod like that. Getting used to the limitations of districts can be a pain but it will help massively with general adaptability and skill level
Both are great wonders - Machu is often so competed on Deity that I forget to go for it (especially on this map where every civ would have access to mountains, the chances of me getting it would be slim to none) - Huey I will try to build later = ) Settling on geothermals means your city gets a science on it's on tile, for a tile that usually you can't improve until late game. It also means that any acqueduct you build in that city automatically gets the bonus amenity
You MUST download a mod to let you chop out strategic and luxury resources. No more districts getting blocked! You should be able to do this in base game
Perhaps! I'm a big preacher of not using a mod like that. Getting used to the limitations of districts can be a pain but it will help massively with general adaptability and skill level
4:30 how did you automatically get 4 terrace farm tacks down surrounding the aqueduct like that? Was it editing? This appeared to be a live commentary so how did 4 tacks appear all at once? Better Map Tacks is my favorite mod and I’ve never known about a shortcut like that.
The magic of editing !! haha - I placed them all one by one The funny thing is when I do it IRL, it goes something like "so if I put this", sit in silence for 60 seconds, "and then these" - not until it's stiched together does it make any sense!
Jesus H christ, how many diamonds do you have, you can really make bank as a long you settle the other side of the everest and the desert wonder, that last one could be worth having 2 cities, a coastal one and one close to the mountains.
Doesn't really make sense that you can't work Everest with preserves as Inca, as with any other natural wonder you can add yields. I suppose it's, well Everest, so it's not the most accessible of places, but neither are most normal mountains.
the other side of the mountain range, the one where fez is, it's kind of bugging me, since it's still in the fog i can't tell if there like some giga preserve to plug in.
Sorry to hear that - if you check out some of the guides I do on the various victory types / deity guides, you'll enjoy the pacing a bit more I think while you learn = )

Could you imagine being tasked by your leader to work the tallest mountain in the world?
I mean people do, they carry the shit up for the thrill seeking climbers.
@@rascototalwar8618 You have reason, I guess some will have a natural calling to pursue the extreme.

Even more impressive, IRL Sherpas in Nepal actually do work the Himalayas with hiking tourists.

Thanks for ameliorating a pretty terrible day with one of my favourite civs.
Finally, another cultured person!
finally! someone who agrees
Part of me wants Ursa Ryan to be so associated with Desert Wonders, that if someone made a Civ based on UR, it would have a bias to building them.
+50% production towards the University of Sankore
I like to think the mountains in Civ 6 are made of erratic wormholes and every time units go through tunnels they come out all mismatched.
Either that or a system of connected spores that we use to warp through
I saw you pass up an 11-turn Machu Pichu and it's driving me mad.
Good. Madness is your friend. I am chaos

whoa, got a little bit excited there
The music in the background is a nice touch. Much distinguished, many cultured, such wow!
Any series where Petra is being built in the first episode is bound to be a good one.
One of the most underrated thing in this channel, is the bathroom music, sooooo relaxing
Yes, the Inca. Love it.
Ugh i can't wait to see more of this!
I was surprised you describe Kabul as useless, as the Inca skirmisher, with its two attacks per turn, benefits enormously from Kabul.
That's fair!
I plaed hungary today fpr the first time it was probobly my new favourite civ the levied units are insane
Bro check your typos before posting lol... but yeah Hungary is easily S tier. Levied units is really just a cherry on top, the real highlight is 50% towards river districts
Yes! This is exactly the kind of game I love!

I heard it was quite hot
go for the Huey Teocalli in that huge lake!!!!!!!
Yes yes yess
Came from the wonderful Playlist you've created for the Inca. 👌👍👍
Wohoo! Welcome!

You won't be waiting too long...! ;)
This is the first video I've ever seen you save scum (no judgement I do it all the time) 😂
Always love playing the Inca, and just spamming terrace farms.
SO satisfying
Brilliant gameplay. You are making art
Thank you so much 😀

That settle in place with the aqueduct to the SE and the four terrace farms around it.. oh yes!
..those horses though. Shit..
You are obligated to build matchu picchu as the Inca
I am chaos
The 10 oclock jungle hill tile on the everest city, that would have been the perfect preserve spot after you learnt that everest cant be worked
I do these things so that you don't have to!
I'd keep Mexico city personally, they are one of my favorite city states and this is exactly the kind of empire they'd come in handy with
Don't hate the desert, you can build the best wonders in the game on it!
As far as your aqueduct district and horses conflict, that’s why pencils have erasers.🇨🇦
since Civ 5 my best playthroughs have always been with the Inca - before I start I have to point myself to a certain win strategy or I get lost building terrace farms XD
They have to be one of the most fun civs to play in the game!
Ican't belive you're playing the this civ again
Smooth
I can't believe I didn't realize "Incas can work mountain tiles" means preserves are op.
It really is a lot of fun! If you play with PC I'd also reccomend the Tibet mod for this very reason also
SECRET TUNNEL THROUGH THE MOUNTAIN
This game is the perfect example of why I play with harvestable luxuries and strategics

This looks tasty already
It's already looking to be a mad game!
from 1:35 onwards i kept hearing "cold chicken" and i was like, how do you play cold chicken in civ?
hahaha
For the tasty yields
What do you think about Machu Pichu and/or Huey Teocalli? and why do you settle on the geothermal fissures?

only downside to nasca lines -> u cannot work them so putting them around the wonder kind of counter productive
True - but they do make the other tiles a lot better. Unless a city gets over 25 pop you normally don't need to worry

Not really "exponential" better yields. Non linear, yes. Not exponential.
sup Ursa how you doing lad
so with pacachuti do the preserve yields add onto mountain tiles? changes how I play him forsure
they do! only the inca can work tiles so they are the only ones to be able to do it. they can create insane tiles
The remove all resources from tiles mod should be in the base game.
You can dig tunnels through mountains but removing a few horses is too hard?
I mean IRL moving horses from one field to literally the next field can be almost impossible
That way sheep and cows should not be able to be harvested either.
These animals are notoriously hard to herd.
the other side of the mountain range, the one where fez is, it's kind of bugging me, since it's still in the fog i can't tell if there like some giga preserve to plug in.
