This song is about their journey as BTS. “Run Bulletproof” - BTS have been running since the beginning. Running towards their dreams. At the very end, they change the lyrics to Run Beautiful - a call to ARMY to continue running too.
This song sounds very similar to songs they used to release earlier in their career. ARMY had been hoping for a hard hitting song like this and BTS decided to record this as part of their anthology album Proof, which marked the end of the “Chapter One” of their career.
It was never released as a single and has only been performed live once (at Busan). They recorded this dance practice for ARMY which is why there are no lyric translations. It’s not an official MV. We were all blown away by its intensity, the intricacy of the choreography and also the high production values of the camera work.
It’s a very highly requested and popular song with ARMY.

Thank you for the reaction and reading the lyrics. I love how deep you think about the lyrics. The part when they say the don't want to be sent home- they were in training with other guys to be part of BTS. When the company is unhappy with your performance, you can get cut from the team and sent home. Kind of like american idol or xfactor. So it is probably a stressful time for them hoping they don't get sent home.
16:11 i think this line "you all done for, if i succeed" - means he was drinking, sitting and talking to himself and in his head he talked to haters, you know drunk talk into air (since Suga was underground rapper he and RM faced a lot of shit from other rappers for choosing to be in kpop group), so he says to those haters "you are done for, if i succeed" - you all will shut your mouths, when i am above you
I have seen hundreds of reactions and none of them have been blocked. It's prettier without a watermark.
As others have mentioned, this song is about their journey from training days to today. When they say, “don’t send me home”, they’re referring to being cut from the company and sent home. In Korea, becoming a trainee is a hard feat, but you still have to prove yourself to stay in the company. Then, even after years, you can get cut. That fear was always on their minds.
When they finally started to get noticed, the fear diminished, but did nit disappear. They worked really hard together to excel and that’s why J hope sings, “Jiminie, V, you did great,… “ then mentioning all the members including himself. They did do great!!!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

This song was part of the reason I'm now a year into my masters. I'm hoping to be done by the time the boys get out so I can 'show them'. If I ever get to see them live, I both hope and dread them singing Magic Shop because I know I'll break down. But I still want to show them what I've accomplished. I listened to this song when I filled out my application and hit send when they said "Run Beautiful" and imagined they were talking directly to me.

@@AlteredChatBangtan TV is the official BTS YT channel. I don’t think I’ve seen the BigHit logo at the beginning of them. But as long as you’re on an official YT channel, anything related to Hybe or BTS, then it is safe to show. I know that other Army will know what the official BTS channels are better than me. The music videos have the logo and those are the ones to start showing from beginning to end. Apparently some of the guys enjoy reaction videos when they have a chance. Live shows tend to be a little tricky but I know Army knows which videos can be shown and which need a filter. But like I said, more experienced Army will know more than me.

In kpop, there are a lot of idol trainees who get sent home before even their debut because the company think they are not good enough, or don't try hard enough and etc. Or in BTS's case, company was struggling financially. So, one big enough mistake from the members side... they could've been sent home and never even debut.
So, they were very unstable at the beginning(like any artist). That's why it says _"Please don't send me home. Sometimes I'd have dreams about those days... I'd wake up shivering"_
For example, Suga worked (part-time job) as a pizza delivery guy when they were trainees. One day he got in to a accident while delivering. His shoulder was injured but he didn't tell anybody and left it untreated for YEARS because he was afraid to get sent home without debuting or being stable. And he continued to train, then they debuted, practiced, performed... this tour... that tour...He performed again and again *through out the pain.*
And the pain got to the point that it's unbearable in 2018-2019 Love Yourself World Tour.
Still, he performed after getting injections for the pain.
And finally got surgery to fix it in 2020.
So, there must be more stories that we don't know cause of course they can't say everything to public.
The first vers is a bit tricky to understand for first time listener, so you were a bit off. They were saying they don't want to go back to old days, cause they have "shivers"- nightmares about it, after school company called and they said "yes i am coming", "don't send me home" - means don't annul my contract - BTS were trainees and initially there were more thatn 15 people who were training and competing to become BTS, those who didn't pass selection stages left company - were sent home, and after they got final 7 memebers decided they trained day and night before debut, while sleeping in one room and having leaking studio and dance practice room under the restaurant
So this time sometimes comes as nightmares that wake them up and they "don't want go back"

2 small comments about the lyrics: in the beginning when they say they received a call from the company, "please don't send me home, i woke up shivering, i don't wanna go back again" - it's about their trainee days. In kpop industry they have auditions and they select maybe 30 people that they train for singing/ dancing and so on, of course just a few remain at the end and form a group. So the "don't send me home" was about the fear they had on trainee days that every company call could mean they may be sent home/ their dream to be a singer could end.
- the part when Suga said "if we make it you'll are done for" has something to do with hip hop culture. Suga and RM were underground rappers, and after going the kpop route (even tho they did it in a different way, writing and producing their music from the start- not alone, they had a team but they always participated)- the underground hip hop artists that were their friends until then strated attacking them and they even offended them in their face in a radio show. So Suga at the time had a very "fighting" spirit, he wanted to prove they are better than people think, and "win" in an industry that is based on competitions (in Korea even more than other parts of the world)
I thought I may explain this since there is no way you can guess it if you don't know their story very well yet.

I think you would go absolutely NUTS for Suga’s solo work. Agust D Daechitwa is a masterpiece, both the song and the MV. And if you like fast rapping check out Cypher 2 (there are 4 Cyphers total) from the rap line.
Excellent reaction! You are correct that this is a rehearsal for the concert you saw. It was rehearsal for the camera crew too as they are part of the production. In earlier years dance rehearsal or practice videos, you will see them wearing vests with their names so that the camera crew could identify them. Can’t wait for what you watch next!💜

I feel though they used a sample here or referenced something. This is going to bother me, sigh. It sounds familiar. It's a bop for sure!!! Maybe a jive vibe. hmm. There is no MV for RUN BTS. There is a live because they performed this at the Busan concert. Glad u watched that. Army begged so long for choreo for this song. For a real stage and they gave it to us. It's their hardest choreo yet. But they showed everyone they still got it! They so cool. Live fast, die young meant living for today or YOLO mentality. Do what you want so to hell with the consequences. =0p I got the Proof album! Both standard and Compact Edition. The live for this is fire. I am glad u liked this. BTS got a lot of attacks that year telling them to retire. That they are old. Well BTS showed them haters! Suga with that pony like dang. They practice for 12 hrs daily. They used to practice for 16 hrs in the early years. But now 10 yrs later they can learn stuff faster. They know their bodies better. If u watch the behind the scenes you'll learn more. There's a Korean saying “Above someone running, there is someone flying” that means there is always someone who's better than you. in the lyrics BTS say "there's a running man, there's a flying man, and above all of them runs Bangtan."

Sobre as reações: tirando os de shows pagos (e conteúdos de streaming como bon voyage, in the soop, bastidores do d day etc) o que tiver no youtube você pode reagir sem problemas - os créditos da big hite/ hybe ou o selo do canal deles, o que tiver inicialmente, precisa aparecer (então MVs, bastidores, seu programa RunBTS!, os recortes de shows, shows de premiações do MMA e do MAMA [veja pelo canal melon awards] não terão problemas) ☺️✨
Agora para as versões japonesas das músicas você vai precisar editar sim porque os direitos não recaem pra hybe então fica incerto se passa ou se vai ter direito autoral 🥲 (tipo, muitos MVs tem uma história e as versões dos clipes mostram coisas diferentes - um mais ligado na própria letra outro na história em si etc).
Recomendo que você olhe canais de fã para tradução de letra ou explicações, as vezes algumas páginas de letras só traduzem mesmo quase que no pé da letra e não há uma boa adaptação de significado; existem bons canais brasileiros e gringos que você pode dar uma olhada - o que é legal porque eles trazem um pequeno glossário e explicação do porquê se usa tal palavra etc - de forma lírica só pra você ler enquanto a música toca de fundo ou com alguém só explicando a letra e o MV também (como o canal BKBKTV que é literalmente um coreano falando as explicações) 💜

Love your reviews, a little info at the beginning of song when they said the company call and the have shivers is because when they were trainees and the company called it sometimes meant they were going to be cut from the team therefore they don’t want to go back to that time. You should also do a review of Rice Squad “The Most Beautiful Life Goes on: A Story of BTS”. I think you will like it.and we would love to see you review it.

No BTS Universe, a história dos personagens é contada em duplas. Somente o Seokjin é solo por ser o personagem principal. Então como duplas temos: Namjoon e Taehyung (RM e V), Yoongi (SUGA) e Jungkook e, Hoseok (j-hope) e Jimin.
Namjoon ( RM ), trabalha meio período num posto de gasolina, e tem tendências a atos delinquentes. Nos MV's de I Need U e Run, tem algumas cenas dele e do Taehyung pichando paredes e até sendo pegos por policiais. Ele é a pessoa que o Taehyung tenta ligar, depois de ter matado o pai com a garrafa quebrada. Ele e sua irmã sofriam abusos do pai que era alcoólatra, então ele recorreu ao vandalismo como válvula de escape ao que ele vive dentro de casa.

Yoongi gosta de tocar piano, mas possui péssimas lembranças relacionadas ao piano, por ter fortes ligações com a sua mãe, que morreu quando ele era mais novo. Jimin possui algum tipo de doença que faz com ele tenha convulsões frequentes, tendo que realizar visitas constantes ao hospital, abalando sua relação com seus pais e fazendo com que ele troque de colégio várias vezes. O seu trauma é um jardim botânico que ele frequentou quando criança, ele se perdeu da excursão e não conseguiu voltar porque começou a chover, então teve que se abrigar num "galpão" e algo aconteceu lá.

Considerado o personagem principal do BU, Seokjin adquiriu habilidade de viajar no tempo e consequentemente ficou responsável por tentar salvar os seus amigos, porém, ao mudar os acontecimentos do passado acaba gerando um efeito borboleta e Seokjin vai precisar encontrar o Mapa da Alma (Map Of The Soul,nome da Era/Album de Boy With Luv) para conseguir salvar todos.

Uma boa dica para ver as letras das musicas são os lyrics vídeos como do canal da Ju Sakura (que são em português) e outros em inglês.
Vc também pode assistir videos de compilados de live performances de canais como da Brilhant, da Enjoy BTS more ou da Elisssa, que são perfeitos e geralmente tem legenda em varios idiomas.

Muitas músicas deles não tem MV por serem b-sides dos álbuns mesmo, tem a versão de estúdio e as vezes dance practice se requerer uma coreografia, como baepsae, anpanman, run BTS, entre outras. Mas pode ter certeza que todas elas tem live performances ( com raras exceções de duas ou três músicas em toda discografia que eles nunca performaram ; as famosas Paradise, Heartbeat e Lounder than bombs não têm live performances, BUT, heartbeat tem MV, e como eu mencionei em outro comentário, muitos reactors reagem só aos lyric videos de boas tbm)

Eu amo como eles contam sua própria história nas músicas... assim como fizeram também em We are Bulletproof: The Eternal, que inclusive te aconselho a reagir... linda música, MV maravilhoso e uma letra incrível
Adorei o vídeo. E você não viajou não, concordo com as suas reflexões e apontamentos. Eu gosto muito desta música porque além de tudo isso, o J-Hope, na parte dele, cita o nome de cada um, inclusive o dele mesmo, e reconhece o trabalho duro de cada um e agradece. Essa parte é tocante.
Tem algumas músicas bem legais que eles fizeram para o ARMY agradecendo o apoio desde o início, que foi a parte mais crítica quando eles eram sempre boicotados, humilhados, caluniados e o ARMY sempre os defendeu, apoiou e eu tenho certeza que esse é o diferencial do relacionamento entre nós ARMY e o BTS. E eles mostram o quanto o ARMY foi, é e sempre será especial. O vínculo é grande, forte, e é MÚTUO. Muitas vezes nas redes sociais, e até em programas e entrevistas, os entrevistadores querem ofender, criticar, curtir e ironizar o relacionamento entre ARMY e o BTS (chamando os fãs de doidos, sem noção, exagerados, desrespeitosos…) e o BTS mostra através do comportamento, das caras e bocas o quanto não gostam desses comentários, e eles sempre respondem seriamente (o RM que costuma responder quando a entrevista é em inglês), sempre deixando os entrevistadores sem graça dizendo que o que há é sim o amor, a amizade, o carinho, o apoio, a confiança, a proteção e o respeito, e que é mútuo. O ARMY não os incomoda, pelo contrário, os fortalece e é uma parte vital na vida deles e na vida do grupo BTS, chegando a nos chamar de 8o membro do grupo.
E é nítido. Basta ver as homenagens, os vídeos especiais que eles gravam, as músicas que eles disponibilizam para nós, as brincadeiras, surpresas, as lives, os vídeos em épocas especiais do ano e aleatoriamente, as séries que eles fizeram para aumentar mais o vínculo (RUN BTS, IN THE SOOP, BOM VOYAGE…). A cada vez que eles pegam o microfone para discursar, agradecer os prêmios, sempre a palavra ARMY estará presente. A vez que eles abrem a boca, a palavra ARMY está lá.
Agora que eles estão no serviço militar, sempre tem cartas escritas à mão, vídeos, músicas, postagens dedicadas ao ARMY, e tudo o que foi preparado com mais de um ano de antecedência para ir sendo divulgado ao longo do serviço militar.
Eles constantemente escrevem músicas que mostram todo o amor que eles têm: Take Two, 2!3!, Magic Shop, We are bulletproof - The Eternal…, o Jin com a música The Astronaut; Jimim com a música Closet Than This, Dear ARMY; J-Hope e a colaboração com o J. Cole, a música On The Street… Cada um faz homenagens e músicas para o ARMY.
Vou explicar uma questão sobre o Kpop que pode ajudar a interpretar melhor a música. Os jovens que desejam ser artistas (idols) normalmente precisam praticar por anos como estagiários (trainnes), para assim ter a chance de estrear (debutar). Esse é um processo bem difícil e até cruel, eles tem que ser bons cantando, dançando, performando, fazendo rap e hoje em dia (principalmente depois do BTS) precisam saber compor e escrever letras. Nesse período são feitas varias provas e muitos deles são cortados. A parte da letra que diz "não me mande para casa" refere-se a esse período probatório.
Ainda sobre esse assunto. As empresas custeiam os gastos dos jovens durante essa "fase" de treino e quando eles debutam acabam não "recebendo" o dinheiro por que precisam pagar a empresa (tipo o fies no Brasil que custeia o estudo do pessoal na faculdade).
Essa questão é pior em relação a empresas pequenas. Hoje em dia os grupos novos da Hybe (empresa do BTS) começam a receber um salário desde sua estreia.
Valeu Clara, eu já ia explicar isso pra ele. Ah, e os meninos já mencionaram algumas vezes que tinham até pesadelo de receberem ligações da empresa, que os mandavam de volta pra casa, na época de trainee.
