V is old school -- doo-wop and sixties vibes, jazz, Sinatra, Bing Crosby, all that stuff.
Anyone who loves music will love V and appreciate his vocals and music. V's music places emphasis on instrunents and vocals and there will always be a story to think about. Recommend his no skip solo album. You wont regret it. You will find his beautiful vocals.

V/Tae has a dry humor, hence the video is really funny, with a lesson in the end. Many theories out there - but you hit the nail on the head! He is an old soul because he grew up with his grandmother, who probably played the standards to him, which he loves. Can't wait for you to discover more!

V's real name is Kim Taehyung. Born in 1995... He joined Big Hit at 15 and was 17 when BTS debuted.
For a Baritone in KPOP, V has widest vocal range (as per real vocal analysts) of Eb2 ~ C6 (3 octaves, 5 notes and 1 semitone), which means he can also hit high octaves with ease.... this vocal assessment was done in 2018 and it is said his vocal range is even greater now.
He is multitalented. A Singer, Dancer, Composer, Producer, Songwriter, Actor, Entertainer, Photographer, Artist, Painter.... a jazz lover he plays saxophone, piano, violin, and learning trumpet
He is known as the Idol of Idols, and is studied for his stage presence and facial expressions.

When I was learning them, I kept going back to watch BTS Tiny Desk concert, because it had who was singing in the subtitles at some points & they stay in the same spot, so you can keep track of who is where. (Plus it's a beautiful concert.) Then I would watch a music video & get some of them confused again, lol. It won't take you long after seeing their solos though. Once you know them, they are unforgettable. 💜
No you're not tripping :) V is so creative with this song and people interpret in different ways. I do think that the way you saw it is definitely one of the ways he would want people to see it. BTS is all about promoting Love Yourself. There is a video of the making of this and he stated he wanted it to be fun as well. There is so much amazing, thought provoking, inspiring and fun content out there from BTS and all their solos. Enjoy!

your analysis was really close to mine,:
1. when you're alone, seems like everyone is in a happy relationship and you're the only one unhappy/bitter
2. when you're in a relationship, no matter how bad the world is, you don't care about what is going on outside of that relationship and you only focus on that person to feel happy
both of the situations can end bad (showcased with him dying at the ending), but if you love yourself (him with himself at the end), that's when you can finally be at peace (that's why he smiles to the camera)
I think you got the general idea that most people got when watching the video. Love yourself. I never heard someone say it's a break up song but I guess it could be?? (I'll need to look at the lyrics again). I thought it was about becoming more than friends with someone. Don't put too much pressure on yourself to know them all right away. It's great that you are putting in the effort and you will get to know them in time. And I saw someone else suggest; to really hear the music, you should use headphones. Caio, tem uma teoria sobre o MV que diz, quando o V tá sozinho sem rumores de namoro o fandom tá feliz, quando ele tá feliz teoricamente está namorando, amando, o fandom tá em guerra, pq infelizmente tem fan que não entende que eles são humanos e tem uma vida além de ser Idol, e no final ele tem a ele mesmo, o amor próprio. Não sei se essa teoria é verdade, mas pra mim fez sentido.

Sobre esse video, eu entendi que dependendo do que vc está vivendo, vc percebe o mundo de uma forma. Quando vc está sozinho e se sentindo solitário, parece que todo mundo é feliz, menos vc. Mas quando vc está feliz e apaixonado, o mundo pode estar um caos que vc continua feliz. E no final, quando aparece ele com ele mesmo, é como se ele quisesse dizer que no fundo precisamos ser feliz conosco mesmo. Isso é o mais importante. E assim seremos felizes com ou sem alguém.
Uma coisa que talvez vc até já tenha percebido é que eles nunca fazem nada vazio, sem sentido ou só por fazer. Sempre tem uma mensagem impactante no final.

É formado em artes cênicas e atuou lindamente em um drama chamado 'Hwarang' e em janeiro participou simplesmente do mv da melhor cantora da Coréia na atualidade, a IU lançou a música "Love Wins All" que é uma obra de arte aclamada no mundo inteiro com 50 milhões de views em 1 mês e justamente estas 2 músicas, a que V cantou "FRI(END)S e a música onde ele atuou "Love Wins All" já estão concorrendo a melhor música de kpop do ano. é uma música que combina dois conceitos muito comum nas músicas deles; amor próprio e linhas do tempo/diferentes perspectivas/momentos "e se?". E uma dica construtiva, dificilmente uma música deles é sobre amor romântico, ou pode até ser interpretada pra esse lado, mas não unicamente ou primeiramente, os meninos gostam de fugir do clichê, são criativos não apenas com videos, mas letras, significados, são os reis dos jogos de palavras.. enfim, artistas completos
Uma coisa n nega a outra, eles tem inúmeras músicas q são estritamente sobre amor romântico e términos principalmente nos primeiros albums, eu entendo oq vc quer dizer pq oq vc explicou se aplica muito a músicas como fake love, tear, etc, mas se tem uma coisa q n falta na discografia deles é músicas sobre amor e são muito lindas e maduras, principalmente pra idade deles na época, só precisa realmente ouvir a discografia inteira, coffee, let me know, danger, 24=7 heaven, miss right, boy in luv, intro: skool luv affair, outro: luv in skool, intro: what am I to you, e por aí vai

Alguma das minhas músicas preferidas deles são românticas, como let me know, aqui eu quis apenas abrir a mente do youtuber porque ele n conhece a discografia deles e n conhece a mentalidade, criatividade e maturidade deles como um todo, foi só uma dica de como ele poderia abrir sua mente em relação as letras. Não precisa se ofender com algo tão trivial. De qualquer forma, é minha opinião e interpretação, se vc acha que há mts músicas com letras mais explicitamente românticas, okay, continue com sua visão e eu fico com a minha, e passar bem.

Humm uma coisa sobre os meninos - não tem músicas de término, na dúvida ou é o famoso amor próprio ou é algo dedicado para as armys ☺️
Eles geralmente gostam de brincar com música, gênero, sentimentos relacionáveis e sim eles escrevem sobre a vida etc mas não sobre "nossa terminei com alguém vou fazer música sobre isso".
Existem músicas sim sobre amor, relacionamento, desejo; dos mais variados tipos na verdade; mas não no estilo de "ah terminei e é uma indireta pro fulano" sabe?

V, my ultimate bias 💜. Love his voice, music and humour. I don't think it us exactly a break-up song. In England we have a saying "You made your own bed, now you have to lie in it". I think this is V saying he wants to put the end in fri(end)s. A few scenarios will come from that. In the first, in saying he wants to be more than friends he loses her as even a friend and he is alone. The world seems to all be in very happy relationships, but he is unhappy. They do not notice him and he ends up unhappily dead. In the second scenario she has accepted to be more than friends. They are really happy and oblivious to other people's problems, but he still ends up dead, but smiling so at least he got to be happy, and everyone else is oblivious to him still. These could be hints (pure speculation on my part) at the fact that as an Idol he is not supposed to date, fans get very possessive so he sees that as everyone else gets to be happy but he isn't allowed. The alternative is that he publicly dates and gets to be happy but the public would be angry with him.
In the end, whichever he chooses, he made his own bed so he has to lie in it, the outcome is the same so instead he needs to love himself.
Something like that anyway. But this is entirely my take on it, and I am happy for others to correct me. Love V's humour so much.
BTS do not care one bit abt what Idols are “supposed to” do or not, they have literally never cared, idols were not supposed to show up on camera without makeup, but they did it since pre-debut, Idols were not supposed to have direct interactions with their fans, only through network programs and fan meets, but they interacted with countless ARMYs on their shared Twitter account and their other social platforms, Idols are not supposed to have political protest songs or demonstrate opposition to the government, but BTS has done so since their very first album where they protest the school system in Korea, idols are not supposed to discuss their identity as idols and say that they are much more than just that, but BTS has made their ultimate self love anthem “Idol”, idols are not supposed to openly criticize the idol system that demands them to put out music at an unreasonable pace, but RM openly discussed that during festa 2022 as one of the reasons they were beginning to feel burned out, idols are not supposed to smoke, but yoongi literally included it in his MV and RM posted himself doing it on his IG, idols are not supposed to make music fully in English, but Bts members have countless songs fully in English and Jungkook has his entire first solo album only in English, idols are not supposed to have the amount of creative freedom BTS has had since its inception, the very existence of BTS as BTS is proof they have never gave a flying fuck abt what is expected of them as idols. If they have romantic relationships it is literally none of our business and they will share that with ARMY if/when they WANT to, they could care less what is “expected” of them to do as “idols”.
My take on the MV is similar to Caio’s, when he was alone he seemed very down and unhappy bc he wasn’t in a lovey dovey relationship like everyone around him SEEMED to be and eventually died in the accident alone, then the scenario flips, so let’s explore what life would be like if he was in a relationship, he was definitely happier but he was visibly oblivious to others around them and eventually he died in the accident anyways leaving his gf deeply sad and in pain, being in a happy relationship (getting what he desired bc others seemed to be happy to have it) changed nothing abt the outcome of his life and even made someone else unhappy at the end. The way the MV is shot to me seems to represent “the grass SEEMS greener on the other side”, but when he gets to be on the other side he becomes oblivious to the reality of everyone who he had wished he was, and in the end, both sides led to the same place, he died in that accident. So when he wakes up again in a third scenario he is just with himself, and smiles happily at the camera, concluding that you don’t have to desire what others have/do, that seems to make them happy, in order for you to be happy too, in fact, you first need to be happy with yourself, you need to do you, discover who you are and what you want for yourself, not what you want bc others have it or bc it’s something expected of you….

Like, any genre will be good, just not K-POP. Each time a reactor starts to listen to other K-POP groups, it goes downhill.
They either start to compare or they act like they are in awe when those groups are nowhere near BTS.
I had to stop watching so many reactors because of that, and I like his videos so much.
