Hey Ben, You've reviewed both the Inmotion v3Pro and now the KingSong 14D. I'm a beginner rider debating between these two devices. I like the two wheels of the inmotion because it means I don't have to step off when I'm at traffic lights. However after you get used to riding a one wheel is this still a valuable feature? I like the 14D because I live in a hilly city and think I would benefit from the additional power. Which would you recommend?
I ride a Segway/Ninebot one-wheeled scooter and wish you would include the risks. They are: busy cross-traffic at intersections, irregular/uneven pavement, and maintaining balance when moving slowly. You’re right, falling off is quite painful, but speed is not the only reason. And yes, wearing a helmet is essential. I also recommend gloves and a padded jacket.
Excellent video. However, what are some of the downsides of the 14 inch? I've seen comparisons to the 14 & 16 inch Kingsongs and the recommendations went to the 16 inch for beginers. I've ordered the 16 inch. I watched your review on the Inmotion and that's what got me interested in unicycles. Thanks.
Does "HELLO KINGSONG!" prompt when turning on the wheel? That's the make or break question for me. I like KingSong's specs on their wheels but that just turns me off :\
I answer by myself, because it was raining, and tomorrow i work, aaaand i wasn't at my house and with my ks 14d. It was a true rain, i made 3-4km under, and I was at 25kmh (the maximum legal in france, in kilomètres, not miles), and... she survived ! :)
the problem with these is how do you know if a hill is steeper than 30 degrees? do i have a tool im gonna bring out before i conquer a steep street? if its more than 30 then the motor is fuked, and warranty doesnt cover it.
lol this is so funny to read as an EUC rider. first, all moern versions can easily do 40 to 45 degrees, second, you just notice that there is no more power to spare and automaticly slow down. Have you seen the newer wheels?
