Geez I got goosebumps watching this episode. In a country where we are obsessed with flamboyance and charisma here was a guy with a Character of Steel, quietly going about his things. As famously said by said by Steve Waugh, " If you don't like Rahul Dravid, something is seriously wrong with you" . He was one of the players who truly epitomized what a game of cricket is.

He always sounds so genuine and so humble. There can be debate whether he was India's best batsman or not but there should be no question that he is the most respected player ever played for country. (I mean just look at all the comments in this comment section) He is class above all other cricketers. Legend!!

His 233 at Adelaide is probably his best innings considering that
    - It was an away game against the greatest team ever.
    - We were batting second after the Aussies had posted 550 in just four sessions or so.
    - The Indian top order collapsed, losing 4 wickets under hundred and an innings defeat looked inevitable.
IMO Adelaide 2003 is right up there with Calcutta 2001 as far as Indian victories are concerned.

The England tour of 2011 was done by the Indian team but played by English and Rahul Dravid. What a series it was! There's one man anchoring the whole team, saving them time and again, not falling short, continuing like nothing's happened.
    Hell of a legend.

If you asked Rahul Dravid to walk on glass for his team, his only question would be - 'How many miles?' That just shows you how great a man he is. - Harsha Bhogle on Sir Rahul Dravid!
