I really appreciate getting the perspectives from the Imoo brothers. I love watching Jungo's game, but I will not be able to physically replicate it. I won't be able to throw as hard as him, or generate nearly the same rev rate. I'm not nearly the bowler that Sean is, but his style of play is more realistic for me to attempt to replicate on the lanes. So, its nice to get his perspective on which balls work well for his game.

I bought a black rhino pro back in 1992. At the time it was top of the line. I'm still cranking it 30 years later. It's got a pretty strong reaction and incredible pin action. I see no reason to update or "upgrade" my ball, especially since I am bowling in a league for the 1st time in 20 years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I have both a Rhino and a Twist. I got the Twist first at 15 pounds with conventional grip. I could not get behind the ball for a good hook without some significant wrist pain, but it was solid for spares. I wanted to go lighter but when I went to the pro shop and they recommended switching to finger tip grip and a bit of a different swing. I got a Rhino 15 pounder drilled with finger tip and I absolutely love the ball. Tonight my 3 game average was 30 pins higher than my usual average. Both balls are great for beginners like myself and I recommend talking with your local pro shop about different grips and proper form to improve your game.

Back in the late 1980s I had a purple Rhino. It was the only ball I used for 5-6 years. It was my first urethane ball and it worked great for strikes and spares. In about 1993 I got a purple Rhino Pro reactive. It was a great ball, but a little bit touchy on wet/dry.
Now I have a blue and silver Twist, and it really helps me get the ball downlane. It hooks too much for right side spares but I got a T-Zone for that. I also have a navy and silver pearl Rhino that is not drilled yet.

I had never cleaned my circa 1992 Black Rhino Pro until last week, a few weeks after I began my first league in 20 years. It was pretty oil saturated tbh. I wanted more hook so I dunked it in hot water and Dawn Ultra dishwashing soap, let it soak for 20 minutes, then scrubbed it, rinsed it. Then I took a 250 grit wet sanding sponge to its surface. Definitely regained a good bit of its hook. It destroys the rack when I hit it right or close to right. The pin action is incredible.

I just ordered my first bowling ball ever, 4 days ago. I have very little experience, but I'm dying to learn how to hook a bowling ball. I chose the Brunswick Rhino. I thought that it was a good entry-level ball that had abilities well beyond my skill. I could learn how to hook a ball before I stepped up to a Hammer Raw, or beyond to a performance ball. I think learning to hook a Twist or another entry-level ball would be a little tougher. I want to be able to advance to my next ball after a logical amount of time. I didn't want to outgrow my ball within a few months. I expect to try to take a little coaching right up front. That should help me improve a little quicker.

I think you're the only one featuring the Purple Magenta Navy Rhino. From what I found this is a pearl coverstock R16 with compound and polish. In your video you mentioned it was a solid. It was the most reactive of the balls nonetheless. I bought Storm's Electrify Hybrid and Roto Grip's Hustle RAP. Both have done a good job on the low end.

I had the blue and blah rhino ball. Got rid of it because it was harder to control. Currently I got the red black and gold ball and it’s definitely much better to control but still learning how to use it

The rhino is great for league. Twist is awesome for everyone or for lower speed players and playing on light oil. I have both. Such great bowling balls. Get both of them, add in the tzone and you have a 3 ball arsenal for league. Remember you can always adjust surface.

Another ball to check out is the radical counter attack pearl or solid.

I just got the red/black rhino (15 lbs) with only finger holes. I have to really step far right to prevent hooking into the gutter.
My revs are just under 450, but my ball speed is 11 mph. I assume I should practice to increase ball speed but should I try to raise up my revs ?

I bought a twist and have it drilled for two hand bowling so no thumb hole. I’m having a hard time even getting it to hook like Jimoo does. I’m still trying to get form down. So I’m wondering if the holes might be drilled wrong too?

My problem is the rhino only has a core in the heavier weights. I was used a 11lbs house ball and was sold a 10lbs rhino for my first ball. But it didn't have a core. So I could never get it to hook. As I was learning and didn't know how to properly do it(and still struggle at times). So everyone watching may not realize your ball will not perform like my rhino performed. It can be deceiving to amateurs like my self.

Yes, I had two of the OG rhinos the rhino pro teal and the rhino pro steel.
Tbh this was back in the mid 90's and the technology was not great but they always done me proud.🤣

As someone who mainly uses a Strike King, I'm looking for something that actually reacts less in drier conditions. I also bowl two handed but don't have the ball speed to prevent over hooking on dry lanes. I'm thinking the Twist will be a good ball to prevent over hooking.

    • @jrproshop

The Strike Kings are very comparable to the newer Rhinos, so the Twist would be a good step down in performance

General question I have: How would you compare the axiom pearl to the Phaze III, they feel similar but different when I throw them both drilled on the same layout. 2 handed by the way

    • @youngtweet3068

Axiom pearl has a strong backend, I use it as my main strike ball. I'd recommend this more than the phase 3

The only Rhino I've had was a Rhino Pro Steel. I recently got a Twist for my local house and it's been a great choice. I tend to be rev dominate. Being left handed it allows me to throw more doen5 and in style

I will soon also buy a twist because every time I come to bowling lanes that hook too much, I can't get a high score I hope that twist will do well.

ive never had one of the new rhinos , in the 80s i had the Teal blue and the Black, then the 90s i had the Purple and Teal Rhino Pros,, ive been pretty much a brunswick guy all my life, in the 2010s i found the Radical Rack attack series to work well for me Mainly the Red Pearl ive had 3, and still have one, they are very similar to the Rhinos now but if i get one the Purple magenta one looks nice i also have the twist but dont have much use for it as the oil seems too much for me to get it back even from the dry on the left side

As much as I love watching Barks and Jungo, I also super enjoy Simoo and Jimoo.
So we've seen Barks throw entry level Raw Hammer's and the Moo's throw entry level Brunswick's. I guess all that's left is for Jungo to throw Electrify's, Surge's, and Burner's.
