She speaks my story . Left Lebanon during the intense civil war , where the nation had 4 armies battling each other, and about 200 militia factions also battling in all directions . Civilians getting caught in the cross fire was the norm . Came to America , saw a different world . Stunned by Disneyland and the freeways . I adored it , went to school , graduated and worked as an engineer, and paid taxes like everyone else. I felt like I am a true American , like all those who immigrated from Europe escaping hardship. I didn't feel foreign until Donald Trump came to power , whom also is a recent descendent of immigrants that escaped hardship. His grandfather came to America like us, not long ago.
It's the story of all of us😥

Great,story of humanity sufferinges,and loves ❤️🌹🙏
I love how her voice is so powerful telling her story, and the music only accentuates that. This is beautiful, I wish I could see more of this through music.
I also really enjoyed listening to the flute, one of the many reasons I learned flute was to learn more about my culture through music. Thank you ❤
as im sure many are like myself outside it
The story of so many of us. Fantastic work BRAVO 👏🏼
as myself..yet ive settled in the role of using portions of both in exclusion of some traits..
there’s really no conflict other then ones present in the mind-generate.
if the earth, similitude to prayer rug, then what’s the fuss [no pun dun☄️🙌🏾]
Thank you. I am 75 and seen a lot of stuff all over the world. This touched my heart and brought me to tears
Beautiful
What are doing with this bridges initiative is amazing. Thank you.
Thanks for keeping great music tradition Alive in this era ❤
best way to do it is remain the technique and what better then orchestration like these in a sense also combining cultures to maybe being about the new.
Oh, I cant listening this, it's too much for me.... I'm not from Lebanon, but I'm immigrant too and so tired still not having my own home. I was trying look like all locals for 20 years just like chameleon for being accepted, cause not all people are ready to see someone different, and only this year trying be me back again. But I forget too much...
Beautiful performance. Marcia from Spokane Valley, WA.
I have the same story, Antakia France....

Merveilleuse interprétation notamment l orientale.
@@touriakaouadji727 It's all oriental. Too, the so-called "Western" has the origins in the Orient.
Guitar is a child of the oud, for example!

It is a good enrichment for American society and its ruling elite to realize how much the Arabs have a great musical, literary and scientific culture and heritage and to rethink their strategic choices by preferring relations with a small country that has no heritage over relations with the Arab peoples.
💗 Michael İbrahim 💗
You guys are awesome! Love you Mr. Michael Ibrahim.
Muhteşem.

Sooo beautiful, words can’t describe!
I love the combination between the western classical music parts with the Arabic Music parts. But I find the message of the talk, in many ways clashing with the music though. Because the music from beginning to end didn't show any mixture between American and Arabic! It played the Western part on it's own, and the Arabic part on it's own. So this makes me read the message of her statement: "I am an Arab American" as I am schizophrenic. Meaning, I will live my America life on it's sown, and live my Arab life on it's own!!!
But the ultimate beauty is the combination between the two!, not each on it's own!!
This should be felt, not analyzed. Even then, the piece goes to say that both Western and Eastern can be blended together, can be played together in the same one piece, just like the Yin and Yang, or like the wave-particle duality to form the quantum particle. Beauty resides in diversity. Just imagine seven billion identical human beings, it would be a very boring suffocating world. The problem with the West, and it will cause its downfall, is that it wants one culture, its own culture, at the expense of all others under the veil of "globalization".
What you are asking for is very difficult since they are completely different tastes. However, the geniality in this work that the transition between the parts is smooth and the ear accept it and the parts from both culture go together as @nboukhar said. This may seem easy but it's not.
"I am home"

It's a good piece ☀️🌺🌺
But I would like to write something about that.
Why are the musicians so submissive and wear all the Pampers on their faces? 😷🤮🤦🏻♀️
Where is your self-confidence, in the basement 🤔
The text may be written from the heart,
But, you fled, because in the past until today the Orientals have opened the door and hearts too wide for West / Europe, through this religions were falsified, so that people fight each other, robbed wherever possible, destroyed with wars, and the identities of the people there were falsified by telling them their since Arabic and all were Arabized so that the people there completely lose their identities.
The woman said, I as Arabs, if you are from Syria, then you are Assyrian and not Arabic and the same thing has happened to Iraqis, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestinians... for example.
Etc, etc.
And the worst thing is that Orient is the mother of these nations! The entire Europa is built on Orient
Hence the term orientation, everything was oriented towards the Orient at that time.
From toilet construction, spoon and fork to science, medicine....
And today it would be destroyed by these people who have taken everything from there.
You are 100% correct. The whole Middle East became Arabized. So any person who speaks Arabic became an Arab by default. The identity is cultural and linguitic, not an ethnic one. The ethnic Arabs are those of the Arab Peninsula, such as Saudis, Kuwaitis, and the rest of the gulf countries. For example if anyone from the Levant does a DNA test, they will have very little Arab genetic lineage if any at all. I am writing this with first hand knowledge as I reviewed many of those DNA results about people who identify as Arabs.
🧐
@@JupiterMoon777 Funny, you bash the term Arabized and yet you wish to be accepted as American and behave Americanized. If Arabs truly colonized the area , and forced the locals to accept the Arabic Language , the same here in USA got mirrored . The land got colonized by Westerners, against the will of the natives, and you are here praising and supporting the colonization . On the other hand , if you send us your DNA test results showing you are ~100% Native American, I'd adopt your philosophy .
U are wrong.....
