Behind the Deep Space Resonance by Vianney Halter

- We are extremely pleased to share today with you one of these amazing timekeeping machine that you see only once in while, pushing the limits in every direction and expanding what is feasible in our fabulous world of watchmaking.
This timepiece uses the phenomenon of resonance to another crazy level, but listening in this video report to Vianney Halter you will understand his extremely pertinent take on it, how it came into being and the logical path taken in its development by him and his team.
It uses the same outfit as the Deep Space Tourbillon but this new movement is simply crazy and held in place by more than 40 pillars, all handcrafted, to encompass this multi-axis double tourbillon. But one of its key element is an incredibly complex and intricate differential system which spreads equally the energy to the two regulating organ.
I clearly invite you to see by yourself what is behind this spectacular feat and for those speaking French, don't hesitate to come on our website for the full-length interview with Vianney Halter, really some fascinating stuff!!

Excited for this one!
Oh yes, you can ;)
@@WATCHESTVcom Insane watch!
Crazy that at one point he was gonna give up on being a watchmaker and now his long awaited dream is coming true. Glad he got to achieve something like this in his lifetime 🤟🏻
Perseverance generally pays ;) Thanks for this nice comment and best to you
"Pretty exceptional product" highly agree with this.
All I can say is - I WANT ONE
Thank you for this video report Marc. It was very informative in a meaningful way. I enjoyed every bit. Viva Watchmaking.
Truly makes us happy, we really loved making it, a true watchmaking highlight
What an amazing piece of engineering. Just beautiful!
It's totally wicked!!!!!
Beautifully captured and absolutely mesmerizing! Mr. Halter is one of those gems in watchmaking not that many talk about. But he's a true genius and definitely one of the most skilled out there! Thanks for showing!
One of those watches that we sit in front of and stare at them as if hypnotized. Our mind begins to dance with the escapements and wanders through times, spaces and dimensions. And everyone who sees this scene from the outside thinks: "I always knew, but now he's really gone crazy"😉
Indeed totally mesmerizing 👍👍👍
Huge respect for this man. What an incredible achievement. I can't take my eyes off it.
Vianney is like the mad scientist of the watch world. What a genius! really impressive work 👍
That is the top of mechanical art work in terms of watchmaking, I think. What will come next? I am speechless... deepest respect to Vianney! Have to think more about it... WOW
Genuis!!
One of the most talented Independent watchmakers of our generation!
Creativity of independent watchmakers is on another level !
You’re totally right 👍👍👍👍👍
Unique , expensive and very very exclusive. All that a watch needs. Greatness.
Incredible, just incredible. Not only for the technical development but for his creativity, curiosity and imagination, what a beutiful piece! I'm glad that it exists
Yes, you need this kind of mindset to come with such developments, independence as a moto! Thanks
Simply wonderful❤❤❤
That man is exceptionally talented to come up with a phenomenal concept such as converting sound energy into kinetic energy. Bravo. Viva La Watchmaking❤️🙏
Yes, it's a true masterpiece of horology!!!
Magnificent! Pure genius.
Merci !
super crazy creation! wonder who dares to service it other than him;)))
To dare is the right word, because apart from that it's just a mechanical construction ;)
I'd love to wear this watch on my wrist. A stunning work of art.
Wow ! Mind expanding theory brought into life brilliantly...he birthed this creation into life ...wow ! I also wish someone would create the worlds most beautiful watch with all the best materials that would be breathtaking on another plane.
Might happen, always new things 🤞🤞
Masterpiece of the masterpiece!
Wow, these watchmakers keep on coming up with new ways to blow you're mind by watching these cool movements! Lets hope we see new cool patents in the future!
And we’re always in for some happy and inspiring surprises
For sure! I hope we get to experience that through ur awesome channel! Keep it up!
Some stunning engineering there, art in mechanical form. Love VH's watches. Great video too.
Absolutely, mechanical art form!! thanks for the comment
Jaws dropping beauty! When you mixed watch craftsmanship & art together........... This is what you have. Another look into a high horology brand if is not for Marc, i will never know. Thanks for the video.
Thanks so much and yes the pinacle of art and engineering!!!
I am not French. But I love the francophone world. I have a basic understanding of the language. And I love all things watchmaking. So this is superb. Also a big thank you for letting us listen to the full interview as well.
Great, very happy you enjoyed it 👍👍
Viva inspiring Watchmaking!!!!
Woowww que bonita pieza Genial!!!
That's right ;)
Watching the escapements makes me wonder what the failed or partially failed machines look like, and how he balanced the energy so perfectly?! -Frank
There are some very clever people in this world. It always makes me envious . . .
Inspired is better ;)
Phenomenal. Just phenomenal. What a man. What a watch!!
Thanks, we feel the appreciation in your words!!!
Awesome intro music!!!
love the rack focus from the clock to the watchmaker, that was sick
Amazing engineers and engineering. Great channel.
Many thanks and very happy you liked it
What a superb abstract time piece love it!
Very well put 👍👍
Bravo 👏‼️
Absolument, une machine de folie!!!
BRAVO
Thanks for this acknowledgment of what they’ve done 👍👍
At last! A 'resonance' watch which will definitely work. Made exactly in the same way as the double pendulum clocks such as those by Robin and Breguet.
Yes, the inspiration indeed comes from such references and Janvier
IT IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.
Such a delicate phenomenon, it should operate in a vacuum. The watch could be supplied with a pump to restore it periodically.
With a little research I see this is not an original idea but might be especially appropriate for this mechanism.
Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow!! Thanks Marc
Very welcome, a true pleasure for us
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That is incredible. What a timepiece !
An incredible achievement!!
Awesome watch, but it doesn't hold a candle in front of your watch collection on the other video, honestly man I loved your collection, wow such a taste. That mb&f was just the icing on the cake
Thanks, very nice of you 🙏🙏
Absolutement fantastique!
I have never seen any hard scientific evidence that FP Journe's Resonance watch works as intended; thus, I still do not believe that the phenomenon is present in any significant way in his watch. On the other hand, the resonance mechanisms underlying watches by Armin Strom and by the great Beat Haldimann seem far more plausible offerings in that regard -- so is this new mechanism by Vianney Halter. I still think that the greatest watch ever made is Haldimann's flying resonance (the first tourbillon resonance watch with a remontoire & in 40mm!); however, this one is now a close second in my list. Both Haldimann and Halter are indisputable geniuses! (ps: Marc, when will you interview Beat Haldimann?!)
I always wanted to do this and hopefully we’ll be able in the near future and indeed come back on some fantastic achievements 🤞🤞
And many thanks for this inspired and interesting comment
He is the living proof that the Calibri Font can amazingly look good on a product.
Insane! In a good way :-)
Totally!!!!
Beautiful
I think you will like it, just pushing the limits quite far, all the way in deep space actually ;)
Wow!
Exactly ;)
The only thing this video could have used is a an explanation of the minutes register at the bottom - it's charming.
Piece of art!
Totally and engineering masterpiece!
Whoaaaaaa... I thought that this was still in its prototype stage especially with the time display. If I had the money I guess I'll have the dial totally made with vantablack, and the hands like the Deep Space but bent outwards with lume underneath.
It is indeed the prototype, but at a pretty advanced stage and we already know that regarding the time display, we can be in for some additional craziness!!! Hope you will like it
Ooîooooooooooiiíi ohuuuuuuuuuuuu in uju all
Best channel !
Thanks so much, makes us proud and thankful
Bwahhhh. It's so good.
It totally is!!!
Bravo.
Ah ça fait plaisir à lire, mille mercis!!!!!
Absolutely beautiful
Thanks for sharing
Hello from Calgary
This one was quite special I must admit!!!
OK, incredible engineering! Now, does anybody have the numbers about its accuracy? Seriously, is it a more accurate watch than an Omega or Rolex? Just curious.
👍
Another master of horlogerie I discover because of you
Many tanks and hi to Marco Swiss watch gang
That’s nice, always like to show different things 👍👍
@@WATCHESTVcom merci beaucoup
This watch is a vulgar display of genius design, engineering and a touch of wizardry.
It makes me sick... that I'll never see one in person let alone own one.
Wow , thanks Marc Andre 👍.
WOW indeed summarizes it nicely ;)
Exceptionnel
👏👏👏
Incroyable c'est un génie..
The static image is amazing before we get into the movement of things...It's got wow factor ....just what an engineer needs.
I wouldn't get anything done ..it's mesmerising ...like the eyes of the snake form Disney's jungle book ....lol ...1,....2...3...your back in the room.
Biog love to Watches TV.
And when you'll see this running, I think you will be quite happy ;) The very best to you
Fantastico....grazie Marc
Grazie a lei 🙏🙏
Checkmate FP Journe, Armin Strom, Haldimann
Edit : He mentions two of them in the video
Well let’s say a serious evolution 😉
Incroyable l'entretien !
Merci beaucoup, en effet assez fascinant!!!!
if only i could buy one
OOOOOOH. thats nice, thank you for the vid
You are most welcome, this one was a pure pleasure to make!!! Thanks
Like a space station on your wrist.
Absolutely!!
That's mighty fine to me.
Wow
In the meantime the Rolex fanboyz are saying " have you seen the hulk prices?!?!?"
Going to get in my DeLorean with this watch and get it up to 88mph to see what happens to the space-time continuum.
Crazy things could indeed happen ;)
What watch are you wearing in this video?
What an amazing feat of watchmaking. I don't even know how to read it hahaha.
And it’s almost not an issue 😉
Does it have hands and does it tell the time?
Dies ist ein Prototyp 😮
A fully functional one but they are working on some very original add-ons
Candel watch
wow!!! but what time is it???
That comes second ;)
Hey Mark I just saw u as a guest in other channel, I just wonder what happened to the gold Omega, that was something, don' t tell me you sold it :(, It was a really nice piece, any way really nice aspect from you ad the guest, cheers
hi...yeah , amazing engineering and architecture, i emjoy to watch the movement...but to be honest, what kind of dealer, watchmaker can promise the service or repair? be good
A screw is a screw, a steel pillar is a steel pillar, a german silver wheel is a german silver wheel. Those materials have been here for ages, knowledges and tools to produce them as well.
@@steyr1973 haha...I will tell your wisdom to my watchmaker...be good
@@andreasmartinez2216 add my greetings to this colleague then. Your reply might very well pop up during our coffee break with Vianney tomorrow morning ;-)
And this is why German engineers are the best. 😁👍 "hey, we got a kid that loves this type of work, how about we promote him and see if he takes on the next step?"
Meanwhile, American companies be like, "Dang, our engineer just quit.....well, I know Billy needs this job and won't rat me out for embezzling from the company. We'll make him our engineer and we'll just keep hiring contract employees out to figure out the ACTUAL problems. "
May I ask how this is different than the FP Journe resonance? Same concept right?
No, not really, because the balance wheels are completely independent from one another with the FPJ
Send me one of these
You might have to wait a bit ;)
The price?
Totally secondary question ;) but as you expect it will quite high
omg*
Epic : 1 Grat contact : intelligent mind : god father blass you
Hot
Very hot ;)
Price?
What people will be willing to pay for it ;)
I foresee more than 2000 USD.
What the heck is the machine at 2:15? -Frank
So ... How many meters of water-resistant? 😜.
😂😂😂😂 tte big issue
Hey with corona who s going to buy this nowatch, it s my grandpa pickup engine en miniscule.
Hey Marc, I am a big fan of your channel! Viva Watchmaking. I am making a 5min video about the aesthetic language of watch movements, explaining why artful movements look the way they do. My channel "A Bit of Art and Culture" is a completely nonprofit educational hobby channel, would you allow me to lift some of the footage of the working movements? I have no intent on making any profit with it as its purely a labour of love. I would of course credit your channel.
