I believe I have a defective iPhone 14 pro max. I dropped it in our 3 ft pool and immediately took it out. It may have been in the water 10 seconds. It worked the rest of the day but this morning it has a nice green screen. Took to the Apple Store and they said it is water damage and not covered under warranty. Their water rating means nothing. Do not rely on it. I obviously had a phone that had a manufacturer defect when it doesn't last 10 seconds under water. Not an Apple fan right now.
Ty for this i was so drunk last night and i woke up and went to the bathroom seeing the sink full of water with my phone there and it’s still working thank goodness.
Idk about you but I've had water resistant phones for a while now and aside from watching tests like this I have never intentionally dunked my phone in water. I love it too much. It's nice to know it can take it if I drop it in water accidentally

well I swam with mine and green screen happened after 4 hours, touch works fine even with greenscreen, face id too, even though the front camera is blurry, now I'm waiting for it to dry completely directed a fan on it and will air blow it later and maybe turn it on, if no fix then i'll go to a technician
This isn’t a proper test. It’s rated IP68. Dust tight and water resistant UP TO 6 METERS for 30 MINUTES. I want to see how it does under these metrics. Not putting it in a cup for 10 minutes…
Why would you even bring your phone that far..? I think he’s trying to test it in a way that our phone could possibly get wet in like everyday life, outing, eat out etc lols
Hello everyone. I made the switch from Xiaomi 10T pro to Iphone 14 Pro max and i noticed that even though i have turned off the true tone and night shift iphones screen seems to be yellowish white compared to android phone that is bluish white. Help?

Your phone is only water resistant when you drop it intentionally; if you drop your phone into water accidentally it stops working 😂😂

It will display a warning to dry it off before connecting if you charge it
