I have to give Apple credit for being ahead of the game when it comes to water resistance. Android manufacturers needs to step up their game since 1.5 meters is laughable in 2023. Phones with removable batteries are the only exception.

My iPhone 14 pro max has internal moisture and then water build up. It happened when it was raining and then I after couple months I noticed moisture building up on my camera. I went to my my cell phone carrier and apple store if they can fix it. They said it has water in it and cant be replace. I thought iphone 14 pro max was waterproof so I would not recommend to anyone trying that.
My 14 pro max got water into it and there was condensation behind all 4 lenses. My Face ID and cellular stopped working. Luckily had insurance from AT&T to cover a replacement device! Ordered an otter box waterproof case for the new one 😅
these phones are waterproof i wash it every week to remove dust, your one got damaged cause of water pressure, to much water pressure will push components inside the phone

That's sort of like having it in the rain. Any phone can survive getting splashed on. You need to submerge it in water and leave it there to really test it.

Keep your phone out of water as best as you can. Apple also doesn't advertise its waterproof. Its water resistant. Meaning if you splash some water on it, on accident, thats fine. I have the pro max but unfortunately 3 months into owning it, I dropped the phone and the backscreen now got a bunch of mini fracture glass, still smooth but not waterproof anymore 😂

I was using it in the rain and mine wasnt water proof at all. It kept pressing random apps and areas because of the rain drops. Is mine faulty or its just how it is?
Not faulty, "waterproof" does not mean you can use it in the rain as the screen signals rain drops on your screen and won't allow you to click buttons, your screen needs to be dry to be able to use it :)
I don't recommend this at all, I put this underwater for less then 5 seconds on holiday on the first day and my phone went to a green screen. It may be good all fine on the video but don't chance it!
No the iPhone 14 is not water proof. Lol if it was I’m sure the devs would tell that. And when your phone does break better hope your coverage is including water damage, because their is a strip that tells if it’s been damaged by water.. they wouldn’t include that indication if itwas water proof
Ok you guys are both right, Waterproof means that you could literally take it to the bottom of the ocean and it would be fine. So it’s not waterproof This can only be submerged up to 50 meters for 30 minutes so that’s known as water resistant. I have this phone and I work at us cellular so it’s just terminology

going into a water park with it is dumb, but rinsing it with water wont hurt your phone as long as you didn’t damage the seals from a drop.
