Don't 'test' Murillo and then project those conclusions onto everything and everyone...
Broad brush, blanket condemnations are just as undiscerning as lazy, wide-eyed acceptance of everything.
@@JustinPetersMin Justin you seriously need to look into another area cause no matter what you or anyone say they will not listen and the majority are charismatic. Logical reason is not helping them they think they have Jesus and that is all that matters.
It just shock me to know that they believe in Jesus and that bill johnson is all good and they have no issues on it. Its a culture stronghold you need to break not a logical one. All their friends are they! Why would they leave it for something empty? They would even lie for the church! Its been done to me a dear pastor lying to me.
I think deep down the Christian community thinks that you can have your own interpretation of the bible. In letter they don't agree but in their action they do just look at Dr brown he still very much support the supernatural and nothing can change that from him cause he see it as very relevant and that you still can be saved.
Maybe your impact can be felt if you go to countries like Australia its been dominated by bill johnson in the last few years. Cause no conservative teacher are willing to come here. And no church wants to pay and invited them here. If i had the money i will transport you here myself! Honest! Take you to a hall and you can start to talk and see who will come to listen!

@@itsGINA11 May I respond? I think it means judges or leaders who are in a position to cause justice or prevent injustice. They are in those positions as God's representatives to ensure justice.
@@JustinPetersMin most of these Charismatic prophets have an error in common-they believe that God is not quite in control, and they can control things by declaring in faith the outcome they want. I do think that it’s quite possible the election was won by cheating, but God could have prevented the cheating from influencing the election. Look at how impossible it was for Trump to win the 2016 election, and yet he did. The US has used its time up, we are under judgment, we are going down fast, God is allowing it, and they keep predicting God will overcome our enemies any minute now and things will turn around, instead of warning the Body of Christ to repent and seek God’s face.
They have confused themselves with "profits" instead of prophets.

Did you really think through the years that there was this many false prophets in the supposed real Christian company? I thought a lot of these guys had to be right on because they were all spilling the same thing, it just turns out that the demons that whisper in their ears whisper the same thing by orders just like army soldiers would do
@@patrickgragg5602 I used to think the same. It’s astonishing to me that we are seeing the fulfilment of prophetic scripture regarding end time apostasy. What a time to be alive!!! And what a time to be all the more, humbling ourselves before the Lord and asking for wisdom and discernment and for Him to give us ears to hear and eyes to see....
I remember someone said "The majority is always wrong in God's book", and when you see what's going on with these so-called prophets, that is so true.
He is exposing the evil in Washington,human trafficking, and All of the churches falling short! Letting the evil rule without stopping it. This just isn't about false teachers and prophets. What has been taught in our schools? Hollywood? Yes even people pointing fingers at these prophets!

I was in El Rey Jesus in Miami Florida for over 10 years. It breaks my heart to see how lost the people attending that church are like I used to be. I don't even think I was saved because I was still the same as before going to church. It's insane how much time I wasted. So thankful to have found ypu Mr.Peters and many others. Now I can truly say I'm saved. God bless you.
It blesses my heart to hear it! I’m in the south Florida area and that teaching is rampant. Praise God were His sheep and He pulls His children out of false teaching every time

@@juliemayes2027 Amen to this! I was in the Charismatic movement too, until the Lord opened my eyes and it hit me like a ton of bricks that I was following a false "Jesus" and wasn't even saved. I'm actually grateful for that experience and don't see it as wasted time. And another thing I'd add to what you said, we have compassion for those lost in these movements and hopefully have sensitivity in dealing with them. We know it's not just realizing one day, "Whoops, looks like this is wrong." It's like having the rug pulled out from under your feet.

I became a believer within the Charismatic church back in 1984. Then approximately 10 years ago, I watched some of the *Strange Fire Conference* videos, and that began my retreat from Charismatic theology. Since then, I have been seriously studying reformed theology and I find myself very much in agreement with most of all that I have learned so far...and I am grateful to the Lord for His love, mercy and faithfulness in leading me into truth.
I have many genuine brothers and sisters in Christ who are still within the Charismatic church. They truly love the Lord just as I have for the past 37 years...but like I was, they are still in deception on much of what they believe...and it is my prayer that the Lord, by His sovereign will would open their eyes!

Just like the zeal the Pharisee's had for their God, it's not enough to save them. That's why it is so vital to pray for their salvation!
Ditto. Exactly the same. But, the Lord is showing me that the humility Justin shows is what I must replicate. Not an arrogant, ‘this is the right way, because it’s the way I think’. Then the next problem is to be able to sit down and read scripture with them to see truth and continuity in His Word. My story is the same. Grew up in pentecostal, charasmatic, movement in South Africa, i.e. Hillsong, CRC etc. but something just never sat right. I then found some of Justin's videos then later started to discover John Macarthur, Voddie Baucham, Paul Washer, Steven Lawson, Phil Johnson and have been completely transformed over the last year with Gods teaching through them. I've since sought to purchase books from Spurgeon, JI Packer, RC Sproul, RC Ryle, etc. Its only been a year and its completely undone all my previous knowledge, but God is faithful and I am learning each new day.

You are sadly, totally deceived. It is true that those you mention are your brothers and sisters, but they are your brothers and sisters in deception. You have only gone from one deception into another deception.
The entire church is apostate and everyone that has anything to do with any church and any denomination, or believes anything the church teaches and preaches is not of God, but is of the Godless world.
The entire church is nothing but an indoctrination center and a marketplace for the buying and selling of all the worlds false, manmade gospels and false teachings. The church is selling the worlds 100% false, manmade religion of scientism that is masquerading as christianity, it is not, it is a counterfeit as are all those snared into any and every church.
"Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you, filling you with vain hopes. They speak visions of their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord." Jeremiah 23:16
Reading Jeremiah during these days is like reading tomorrow's news headlines. Scary.

The fact that these people that prophesied falsely in God's name are still alive is a testimony of His mercy and long-suffering. God will not be mocked.
inspired prophecy ceased with the death of the apostles and so too the gifts of the spirit. Such were only to get the baby congregation up and running. 1 Cor 13:8--12. Anything supernatural since then is demonic deception. By the end of the 2nd century AD Christendom had fallen away to Roman Paganism. Today Google says there are at least 33,000 divisions in Christendom. In the 1st century there was only the one pure Christian congregation (international) led by the apostles and appointed elders by holy spirit. Today the "elect" are Jehovahs witnesses backed by holy spirit.

God's end time, remnant church, are identified as those who keep His commandments and who have the spirit of prophecy.
Revelation 12:17
“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”
Revelation 19:10 tells us what the testimony of Jesus is:
“And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Murillo is saying, "Keep moving. There's nothing to see here. If you want to see something really worth looking at, look over here."
"Forget about all these failed prophecies, because we have more prophecies coming." It's like gambling, eventually you will get a winner. What gets me is when these "prophets" go into a trance like God the Father is speaking thru them in a great and awesome way. Two of them did this and gave a timeline that utterly failed and I think they should apologize for this. I think it brings shame to the Bible and Christianity.

Having been saved out of that movement and looking back to see what damage it did to GOD'S reputation even in my little life -- I have to say, I pray constantly that God will call His elect out of that movement, more and more every day. And there are at least 2, maybe three of us, right here. "2 Peter 3:9 (NASB) The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance."
I'm glad that God saved my husband and I from this movement. We desperately pray and beg God to save our loved ones and many more out from this movement. 💔 it's heartbreaking to know that so many people are deceived and stuck in this movement. May God have mercy on those people and save His sheep from this movement.

That is the Scripture that goes through my mind. I come from a perspective that the Sign Gifts are for today, and as a young man, a long time ago, Mario Murillo rebuked a fever I had and the fever immediately left. I despise Cessationism. Yet, everything Justin Peters says here is the Truth,
What I think Murillo should be saying is all these failed prophesies are from false prophets. Jesus said in the LAST DAYS many false prophets shall arise and mislead many. Matt.24:11 So all these false prophets are Bible prophecy being fulfilled. These must be the LAST DAYS. Pestilence, famines, earthquakes, increased sin, wars, FALSE PROPHETS misleading MANY, and this generation shall not pass til all is fulfilled. Matt.24:3-34
@@TruthLivesNow I honestly struggle between the two. First, I find little clear scriptural evidence for cessassionism, which is ironic considering their passion for sound doctrine. What's more, some of their teaching seems to clearly contradict scripture (ex. Don't forbid tongues and desire prophetic utterances).
On the other hand I see so many clearly umbilical and false teachings and false prophetic in the Charasmstic movement.
@@ambientlight3876 I am a D.L. Moody, R.A. Torrey, Derek Prince type of Charismatic/Continuationist. The Bible is the inerrant Word of God, and Deuteronomy 18:21,22 should Never be ignored! Only one time is what that Scripture is saying makes a person a false prophet. I do at least listen to the other side. What I really dislike is some of the statements from Cessationists that indicate they believe ALL Catholics, Orthodox, and any Protestants worshiping w Contemporary Christian Music are not saved. I think of the book, “The Mark of a Christian,” and Scriptures given by Frances Schaeffer, and this bunch is “Ugly.”
@@TruthLivesNow false teaching is clearly not exclusive to the Charasmstic movement. I've seen flagrent scripture twisting or ignoring from most if not all branches of the body of Christ.
And yes, I've seen cessassionists add to God's word such as saying things like, "if you're not a cessassionist, you're not a Christian." My response has been "so then it's Jesus plus being a cessassionist that saves (sarcasm intended)."

True Christians must be "no part of this world." John 17:16. Certainly apolitical. They tried to make Jesus King but he refused. He told Pilate "my kingdom is no part of this world" . The demons control the whole world of politics. Rev 13:1,2. Go to JW.org and ask "Should true Christians get involved in politics" and "Who is the true God"

@@Annie261. Not so. The Bible itself speaks to "keep on the watch" in a number of ways. the Gov. Body only ever put 2 dates in WRITING, 1914 and 1925. In those days we were in our infancy and had a mountain of knowledge/understanding to learn.. In the first century the Christians also were told to "keep their senses for the end of all things has drawn close" As in the 1st Century none of this means we dont have the truth, Bible understanding accurarately, correctly, takes time and patience. We DO have the truth like it or not.
One thing for sure... anyone who is in the Ministry will stand before God and give an account to Him. And no one else will be there. James 3:1 "Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly." This is a fair warning to all Ministers!

I was in a charismatic church and my experience… nothing to write home about. I remember the first embarrassment I suffered, I should have left right after that but I didn’t.
At a church program the so called prophets called to the stage folks who hadn’t received the gift of the Holy Ghost. I was pretty excited so I wet up.
Trust me it was a lot of people and most of them were just going off in tongues within moments of the prayer and I was not receiving any such gift.
In a short while I was almost left on the podium all alone. I peeked and I was like goodness I would not be left here alone, that would look bad….so I faked!
That’s what I did I faked my tongues to be done with it and I walked back to my seat feeling stupid.
Now that I think about it, maybe most of those people faked it too. That’s the issue with that mov’t, it encourages lies and phony stuff. The obsession with manifestation is sick! They don’t care about truth, they encourage falsehoods.
I’ve read of other peoples comments and they faked tongues too so they wouldn’t be left out so your not alone in doing that.
The charismatics are a combination of Hindu Kundalini and Voo Doo type of “worship”. They are only interested in your money .. they do not care about your soul & salvation !! They twist God’s Word, take the Scriptures out of context !!
If people would just study God’s Word they could see for themselves !!
People are tooo lazy or stupid to study God’s Word in these Pagan type religions…they zero in on people desperate for healing & prosperity. They are demonic !!

They can’t admit the truth because their hearts are so hard. They have too much invested(schools of prophecy etc) and millions of dollars to lose. I’m staggered they don’t think blaspheming God’s name is a problem but losing $ and their own reputations is. Praying for the Lord to have mercy and open their eyes starting with their salvation. This incident was the turning point for me personally in believing in these false prophets and my beliefs changing towards the charismatic prosperity faith movement.
I believe God’s divine purpose was in this to expose them for what they are. I’m so very grateful that I found Justine Peters, the Kozars, Long for truth and chris rosebrough to teach me the true doctrine of Christ.
No, just because a few of these ministries got off the straight and narrow we shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water. Since we know Christ himself established Full Gospel Ministries that's exactly where you'll find the full disclosure and blessings of Christ's Kingdom, not some new reform group attacking and diminishing Christ established Full Gospel Ministries!
I have noticed that many pastors no longer mention repenting of sin as part of the gospel; and, if they do mention repentance, they gloss over it. I mentioned this to my son today and he intimated that I was being legalistic. Am I?

No. I've heard that there are now churches telling their ppl that they no longer have to ask for forgiveness from GOD ever because Jesus already died for all their sins. They have taken the scriptures out of context!!! And the ppl believe it instead of studying the WORD for themselves including the Hebrew and Greek.😢
The bible tells to teach the being saved by the blood of christ and nothing else. That is all needs to be known. Is to teach people you can be forgiven for your sins because a man named jesus died for them. The bible tells us to teach that. Not to fake prophecy and tell people what they want to hear.
I found two pastors who teach very strongly about repentance. You may like their right between the eyes preaching method. Pastor Bill Randles from Believers in Grace Fellowship RUclips channel, and Keith Malcomson from Limerick City Church RUclips channel. They both warn of the false teachers of today. They have a powerful teaching style but each is unique.
@NicoCoco I am a christian and my son says he is. However, I notice that when I mention anything to do with pastors who are not really preaching the true gospel, he brings up legalism. He attends a seeker friendly church and he is friends with the pastor.
I got saved in the Charismatic movement in the 1970s, and followed humble men like David Wilkerson. Also, the Cymbalas at Brooklyn Tabernacle are beautiful people who believe in all of the gifts.
However, I don't recognize more than 90% of the people most associated with the movement today. Humility is something that seems to be far from them. Money, prosperity, and greed seem to have taken over much of the movement.
And, as for adherence to the Word of God, that seems to have taken a back seat to the flavor of the day for the most high profile Charismatic ministries.

I also came out of the charismatic movement ,but as a Christian that does not give me the right to openly and publically humiliate others that are still deceived , we are to use Truth and God's Love , not scarsasm to get our point across .

Other than your ministry, Pastor John MacArthur, Todd Friel, Phil Johnson, and a few others are the only reliable sources I trust to listen to expository Bible doctrine. I sat in the Men’s Bible class this morning in an old (1974 vintage) charismatic church and listened to the testimonies of various members. This men had, in some cases, been attending this church since its founding and clearly didn’t have a clue what salvation means. One of the church elders couldn’t point to a date or year he came to faith! He’s a 30 something “elder” and grew up in the church! I’m trying to bring the Gospel into a dark place indeed. It may be time to leave but I love these old friends who’ve been so long deluded.

"hard for true dreams to be real" Derek God does not today cause dreams to anybody, if that is what you mean. The gifts of the spirit ended at the death of the apostles. They were replaced by fullness of knowledge, accurate. ! Cor 13:8--12 They were called" things of a child". A large portion of the scriptures are deep and to understand them one must learn from the spirit directed "elect" , the composite "faithful and discreet slave" . Matt 24:24, 45--47.

Hey Justin. I whole heartedly agree with you. Based solely on God's words about the charismatic / word of faith movement. I spent many years believing much of the lies they spew but fortunately the Lord saw fit to bring me out of all of that. The lust of their eyes have enticed them. To that there is no doubt. But you know, it doesn't matter to most of them what the word of God says. You can show them.syraight from their own bibles that they are wrong but most are so steeped into this little god ceap that they think you're twisting God's word if you only point out word for word to their face from scripture. I have family that still will defend them as if it's okay that these liars have only made a mistake. They refuse to admit that God's warnings about false prophets are concrete and unchangeable. It frustrates me to no end. Anyhow, this was a great example of what frustrates me so greatly. Thanks for taking the time to do this video. Its greatly appreciated.

I feel like the Lord is unveiling my eyes and ripping all the prosperity and teachings that have infiltrated the church away. I am seeing more and more issues and I've thrown away books, I've been concerned with some things pastors are endorsing and it all stems from the NAR movement and their followers beginning in the 80s. Even my own mother said she was taught with these teachings and grew up learning word of faith but I've shared with her the problems. She is asking for prayer in discerning and changing her theology/thinking.
God knew who would win, So even if u didnt like the outcome, all part of gods plan, His plan continues on, either ur on board or u gonna sit back and gripe about the the outcome

Excellent work as always, Pastor Peters. It seems that it is simply not possible for certain individuals within the charismatic movement to make a false prophecy. The biblical standards for a true prophet are pretty much thrown completely out the window.
Mario Murillo has been a "wanna-be" big time prophet and grandstander since the mid-70's. Having come out of the charismatic movement back in the "Jesus Days" of the early-to-mid 70's, I remember his as a frequent guest in my home church in Naperville, Illinois. And he was off-base back then. He's been wanting to get traction as a front-runner, but fortunately hasn't gotten the limelight he so desires.
The big warning sign for all of these “prophets” is that they continuously proclaim God’s coming “blessings,” while God’s actual prophets often had proclamations of judgement. The times the actual prophets would address blessing would be about the coming Messiah or restoration that was meant to preserve the lineage of Jesus. All that these TBN people talk about are material “blessings,” and not judgement for sin and the necessity to repent and believing in Christ.
And this is just ONE of the many warning signs against these people.

I enjoy your videos and have learned a lot! I agree with you about the charismatic movement and the Pentecostals. I thank you for bringing this information to light! I believe in the baptism in the Spirit and in the gifts for today, but I don't want to be lumped in with the charismatics and Pentecostals. There is a whole other group of people who aren't weird and crazy and disrespect the Holy Spirit that no one ever addresses. We only look at these crazy charlatans that are on TV and putting on so-called healing ministries.

PS - I spent 15 years in Hillsong UK (serving on team for 10), and all the focus was on the grace and goodness of God, but none on holy living, righteousness, fleeing from sin, the reality of hell, and living a godly life and being obedient to his Word and the commandments.

I grew up Pentecostal which was more like bapticostal...😅 but as a young teenager followed the charismatic word of Faith for a while... I've seen non-biblical in every stream... this is a day to be sober-minded diligent to walk a balanced life... I just study the word of God in its context... the whole counsel of God in all its wisdom... we must put our trust in Jesus and follow him alone not take anything to an extreme but live a balanced life in obedience to the word of God meaning the Bible

Jesus said He only says what the Father tells Him to say. So Christ only spoke God's word. For some reason I have never fit into the church or the world since I received Christ as my Lord and Savior in 1972 while attending a Bible college for teachers/musicians during the charismatic time and even when I was attending a charismatic church after leaving the college and moved to Colorado. Guess GOD has been protecting me all along not to believe everything I have heard yet I feel like an outsider with no real friends except for the Lord. At 69 it's been a lonely road to travel but He's never left or forsaken me. HE'S been my only TRUE Friend.
I think you have to differentiate between the charismatic movement that is going on in the USA and the charismatic movements that are going on around the world. They are not all the same and it is wrong to put them all in one box. Yes, there are idiotic charismatics in this world, especially in the USA. But that doesn't mean that all charismatics are like that. I myselfe am charismatic but I fully agree with everything that you said about Kenneth Copeland, Joel Osteen, Bill Johnson etc. Those people are false prophets and they should be stopped. But they don't represent every charismatic movement that there is.
Just left Pentecostal movement after 10-11 years. The flowing oil out of Dalton, Ga., about two years ago was what started my doubt in that movement. Now I plan to expose this movement and feel that was part of the purpose God allowed me to be in it so long.
