Justin, I really want to thank you for your videos. You have helped me more than you know with my struggles when it comes to knowing the truth. I started out in a Pentecostal church and from day one I was always scared out of my wits everytime I went to this church because of the people screaming out in tongues etc. And I knew in my heart this was wrong. I was so hungry for God so I went to church Sunday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday night. But I was always terrified that the person sitting next to me was going to start screaming in tongues. I literally felt like there was evil in this church. I was then in my 20's and now I'm 61. I am not able to get to a church so I started watching you tube and by accident found you. And that led me, you led me or I should say God led me to John McArthur. So thank you, I'm not scared anymore. Sorry this is so long and I pray you see this comment. I also want to say I love the humor you throw in. No one could ever be bored watching you, lol. So again, Thank you.

Linda, I had that same "scared out of my wits" thing from the first pentacostal service I was dragged to at age 10. It always felt evil and always on the edge of spinning wildly (and detrimentally) out of control. I'm only one year older than you. Same thing - I found Justin Peters first then MacArthur, Lawson and eventually Susan Heck. For me I found Justin Peters because just searching for preachers online kept serving up all these "weird" professing "Christians" who were essentially charismatic in some way. So, I decided to search for critiques of these and wham! Up came Justin Peters and it has been bliss ever since having found home. Home is with people who just stick to God's word. One other similarity: I actually found a local church, but being 98% housebound, all I was able to manage was baptism and one Lord's supper. Then I got hit by yet another disability and can no longer go. But it's really good to have a tie to a local group of Bible believing Christians. I managed to get a full membership, and get a visit about once every two months from a woman church member.

Hi Justin. Just letting you know you were he first "Discernment" ministry I ever heard. It was maybe 6 years ago. I found a RUclips in my feed from the Strange Fire conference. Had no idea what that was.
I have family decieved by WoF and NAR teachings. The crazier the more they follow them including Nigerian prophets and apostles. Crazy trends like gold teeth and hair, gold glitter on their hands after video prayers etc.
They happened to of stopped by about 30 mins into your video and they watched the last part with me.
Fyi they were incredibly offended and insulting.
Unfortunately, it seems that your message fell on the pretty unfit ground but with God's will those seeds can still grow.

I worked on the Disney lot in Burbank for years. The Disney family was still heavily involved in the operations at that time. This corporate "shift" came about after they were gone. If Walt and his brother Roy were still with us, Disney would have an entirely different culture.

Justin...I just want to thank you for educating people on the truth of god's word.... My local church just started a woman's Bible studies from Beth Moore .. (I don't attend this church as the lord took me out a few years ago) . After years of staying quiet I decided to message the pastor's wife to ask her to please check out Beth moore as she is in my opinion a awfully teacher of the word. .I refer to people like Beth Moore as Bible users not Bible teachers ...long story short ...I received a message saying that she doesn't agree and that Beth Moore is a very good spiritutal teacher (along bill Johnson also apparently) .... This was two weeks ago.... I opened a can of worms because my mother informed me that last Sunday she did a preach on (basically people like me who are calling out false teachers) and she actually said that it is based on a message she received (mine).... Now there are elders and church people who are looking at me and disagreeing left right and centre....but glory to God ..because the fact that she made a preach about it means that what I said stuck and I hope that the lord will open their eyes so that they can see what's really going on ..

Will you please address Tim Herd's (BTWN's) adultery that he committed while in the ministry, and your continued support of him? Thank you.
I knew nothing of Tim's adultery until Chavez's video came out. Contrary to what Chavez claims, I barely know Tim Hurd. We have only met in person twice, both times at a conference. I haven't seen him in 5 years. To the best of my recollection we have only spoken on the phone one time and that was last week when he called me and I was in Brazil preaching. He called me because of Chavez's video. He said, "Well, I guess you and I are best friends now" - a sarcastic reference to how Chavez lied about our supposed "partnership."
In short, I barely know Tim. But I did ask him about the adultery issue (since he has apparently publicly admitted to it). He told me this happened years ago (exactly how many I do not know). According to Tim, he long ago repented of this and has been walking in fidelity to his wife since.
Tim told me that because of his adultery he believes he is forever disqualified from serving as an elder/pastor. I told him that I agree with that. Biblically he is disqualified from that role. Elders are held to a higher standard.
However, I do not believe that that permanently disqualifies him from serving at all in a church. He can still do some things in a church. And, as long as he is walking in repentance, I do not think he is disqualified from having a RUclips channel. It should be done with the knowledge and oversight of his elders, but as long as that is the case, I do not have a problem with someone in his situation doing what Tim is doing.
As usual, Chavez lied. Chavez does not care about what is true, he only cares about smearing me and other men like MacArthur, Washer, Johnson, etc. He only cares about hurting me. He has an obsession with me that is nothing short of creepy.
Now, to those who would say I have an "obsession" with the likes of Benny Hinn and Kenneth Copeland, these men have an ongoing "ministry" of teaching heresy, offering false prophecies, and exploiting the poor, sick, widows and elderly for personal financial gain. I'm doing none of these things. I teach sound doctrine and I go all over the world - often at my own expense - doing so. Money does not motivate me. Ask anyone who knows me: ask my wife, ask any pastor who has had me in his church (there are hundreds), ask my board members. Money is not my thing. For years I lived in a glorified paint shed and was quite content.
I'm not teaching heresy. I'm not offering false prophecies. I'm exploiting no one for financial gain. But Chavez wants to destroy me nonetheless. This is a man who has no meaningful accountability if any at all (ask him where he goes to church and who his elders are). And if Chavez thinks Tim Hurd is morally disqualified from ministry for the sin he committed years ago and admitted to, then he himself lives in the most fragile and brittle of marital glass houses.
truthclips: according to your "logic", if someone commits a sin after being saved, then they lose their salvation, just as if I commit a sin before trying to be saved, then I can't be saved. Shall we show the public every sin you've ever committed? Tim Herd professed his sin and repented. That's the end of it. However people like Joshua Chavez commits sins and doesn't care about learning the truth, or repenting about anything. Guess what that makes him?

Why is that “music” always played while they are speaking to their congregants? Distraction? It truly winds your mind up and keeps you from focusing on his words.
The music creates the vibe. It’s all leading up to a big emotional response at the climax. There’s always an emotional climax.
So modern churches have eliminated windows and pulpits, and organs, and formal sacraments, and communal Bible readings; and have created theater - dark auditoriums with stages, sound and lighting systems, hip preachers who wear clothing that you and I can’t afford. There’s no Bible reading, just small morsels of Scripture to whet the appetite, and get you in the mood for all the twisting that’s about to happen - and the music - oh the music! Can you feel it? Hours of repetitious chords and superficially generic lyrics that could easily fit a high-school prom, or a Mormon temple. Romantic and passionate, but thoroughly unchristian.

I'm glad I've listened to this because I m troubled by a French Christian song we often sing which says "long before I was created, you dreamt to love me" and repeats this with variations. Also says "Your blood flows in our veins" not sure about that.

Dear Mr Peters, Im glad you are back and making videos again. We all enjoy your wisdom and dry humor ...lol I was watching a documentary on Corey Ten Boom and something caught my attention and I thought of you. God delivered 3 messages/visions to Coreys sister Betsie just before she died while in the concentration camp. Betsie told them to Corey . Corey didnt know if Betsie was dillusional or what. It happened that all 3 visions came to pass. Corey recounts this during her speaking engagements. They came to pass exactly as God said. What are your thoughts on this type of manifestation? I think this was in a very exceptionaly time period in the world for a very special reason for these people there. It was not a usualthing the sister was saying this. I don't know exactly whát she told, I did n't read the book, but it was not a habit. They were suffering there. And The Lord was with them

I get what you are saying- but what about the arguments he has surfaced? It seems to a lot of us that there really are some clear double standards in regards to certain people ie. Chris Rosebrough and a lot of his shenanigans such as the silly games, the statues, the issues surrounding his son etc…. Josh has only brought these to our attention. There is no trickery in the edit ie. John MacArthur was really on TBN. Ray Comfort was really on TBN and the Joyce Myer show etc…. In a nut shell it doesn’t seem like hold your friends to the same standards when you’re calling out David Jeremiah for being on TBN and not Ray Comfort or Ray being friends with Kirk Cameron who has his own program on TBN. These guys have been raising money for them. Seems like playing both sides. Josh has simply connected the dots.
