I feel the need to share part of my story about the dangers of the charismatic movement. Forgive me for it being a little long. I was a young woman, new believer, just married and 22 years of age; the year was 1993. I was saved and served Jesus with all my heart. I was attending a church of God denomination at the time. They invited a man to come to revival to speak. Supposedly, he was a self proclaimed, self appointed "exorcist". Now, I was raised pentecostal and had witnessed many disturbing things in different branches of these churches but never to the extent of my experience.
One night, i grew ill during the service; I ran outside to vomit because I was closer to the door than the restroom. The congregation had been worked into a frenzy by this evangelist; it was chaos. The next thing i know im being drug to the front of the church and held forcefully down. I was accused of being possessed by five demons, simply because I was vomiting. Supposedly the demons couldn't stand the power of God and were trying to escape smh. They preceded to physically beat me with Bibles in my face and head, as hard as they could. 6 men in total taking turns hitting me. They almost broke my nose! I was battered and bruised for many, many days after.
One lady literally screamed at me in tongues like a demon from the pit! I remember I was lying on the floor, at the foot of the alter, almost unconscious from the horrible beating i sustained...you know what the supposed exorcist bragged to the congregation? She's knocked out because of five, as he held his hand up, making a fist!! I'll never forget the demonic look on his face.
He commanded the congregation to stand against the walls, so they wouldn't get "possessed" themselves. I was being made a spectacle of. I truly wish I was kidding. It didnt end there. They came to my home and tried to finish what they started. I was supposedly still "possessed". Now, i was just a babe in Christ and believed these people because again, i was just a babe and they were elders, deacons and ministers 😢 looking back, when did Jesus or any apostle ever physically beat a demon possessed person? I understand so much more now.
I was ostracized, ridiculed, run down like a dog in my small town. I wasnt allowed to come back and every church i tried to attend, they followed me and made it to where i was unwelcome, mocked and scorned. I am the epitome of church trauma.
I was devastated to the point of suicide. I truly believed the Holy Spirit had rebuked in anger; that Jesus had forsaken me. There is no worse pain in this life, the utter dispair and hopelessness you feel believing the creator has forsaken you :( I was a hollow shell of a woman; drowning in confusion, pain and despair. Death seemed like a beautiful alternative to the pain my soul was experiencing.
Now, let me tell you about what Jesus did. I worked second shift in the shipping office of an industrial rubber factory; on 2 separate nights, I encountered 2 men. 1, I had never seen come thru the office...he walked in, sat down and stared upon me with love and compassion. He looked at me and I quote. "Stay strong, the Lord has great things in store for you". He then got up, left and I never saw him again; never knowing his name even. Did I entertain an angel unaware? To this day, I still can not wrap my head around it; there is no way he could have known what just happened to me.
Next, an older gentleman came in and we started talking; I explained what had just happened to me......turns out he was a pastor 😊 Thru much counseling and lots of prayer, i finally understood what happened to me wasnt from God but Satan. My husband and I were later baptized by this preacher ❤️
This was not a mere coincidence; I truly believe the Lord sent this man to me and used he and his family to truly teach me about the healing and love of God. I will never forget them as long as I live and how the Lord Jesus loved me enough to send someone to help me thru the darkest days of my life ❤️ make no mistake, my healing from this didn't happen overnight; it was a hard fought battle but I praise Jesus that he was so loving, patient and kind in my shortcomings and trauma. What the devil meant for my harm; God used for my good, for his glory ❤️
Im now 51, still serving the Lord in spirit and truth ❤ the evangelist fell off the map, losing his ministry, that church never recovered; splintering into many other churches that have since failed. I learned later, another woman was done almost the exact same way a few nights earlier :( I left that small town many years ago and have never looked back.
These money driven WOF churches are dangerous! They are not of God and it is NOT the Holy Spirit working thru these "performances." They have turned a house of worship into a den of thieves; taking his name in vain for monetary gain! Cheapened the completed work of the cross and demeaned God to nothing more than a genie in a bottle smh.
For the record, i was in the early stages of what was to be a years long battle to save my life; the beginning stages of cervical cancer. This is why i became so violently ill during service. I was undiagnosed at that time....but I was the farthest thing from being possessed. To the glory of God I'm in full recovery almost 15 years later, having fought my illness from age 22 to age 38. I was a woman who shouldn't have lived, much less able to conceive but here I am, with my beautiful 27 year old daughter! Yes, God is the God of the impossible ❤️
Make no mistake; the attacks upon my life have increased, each attack worse than the first. When the Lord warns us that the enemy seeks to kill, steal and destroy, it's not a joke! I have lost all of my family to death, it's just my daughter and I now. Sadly, I even became a victim later in my life to domestic violence. My journey in this life has been one of abject pain and suffering BUT it is nothing compared to the suffering of Christ on the cross and what he did for us.
Please remember, the enemy doesn't bother with souls he already has. He has come against me and even in this minute, his attacks are endless; trying to stop me from sharing my testimony with everyone. If the enemy is raging against you with the fury of hell; count it all joy....the Lord Jesus counted you worthy to suffer for his names sake. I have often cried out to heaven...Why? Why all the pain? Lord it's just too much for one lone, pathetic sinner of a woman to endure....The answer I received from the Holy Spirit thru the scriptures? Because I entrusted you with it; my grace is sufficient for thee, my strength made perfect in weakness and suffering ❤️ If just one soul can be helped and saved thru the suffering then yes, it is worth every tear and ounce of pain 💖
The Lord Jesus is with us thru it all. He has truly given me a peace that passes all understanding. When you repent & choose Christ, you are enemy #1 now, a huge target on your back. Just know, no matter what you are enduring, keep going, never give up. Christ didn't lay the cross down on his way to Golgotha; we can't lay ours down for his names sake either. Be encouraged, be strong and know you are never alone; he will never leave nor forsake us.
PLEASE BEWARE OF THESE WOLVES THAT SMILE IN YOUR FACE WHILE DRAGGING YOU TO THE PIT! I have witnessed firsthand what lurks beneath that "smile". Always pray for discernment. Remember, we can't be the spotless bride of Christ and Satan's girlfriend at the same time. Stand for the truth of the gospel even if you're standing alone....always contend for the faith.
There's no devil on Earth or from hell that can defeat you. Remember, the greater and longer the trial; the greater the blessing and the greater movement of Jesus to show our enemy that our God is God! When you're going through hell itself, don't stop...keep going; glory awaits on the other side...when the reason we are standing, stands in front of us, we will know it's worth it all ❤️ Thank you for your amazing grace Lord Jesus ❣️

I know personal stories of true real miraculous testimonies of people receiving Jesus Christ, or demons leaving their bodies and be 100% delivered. Sure there are abuses out there, but there are also real authentic Christians as well.

The spirit of Religion is a murderer . I have seen this over and over where churches lay religion over people in a deadly mechanical way and have an absence of God's love in opperation . It is truly disgusting to hear such things . Be very careful when attending a church because the believers tend to become like their pastor. 35 years ago medical technology was not the same. As a Christian I believe God can do miracles. I also know as a person who was discovered to have had a congenital heart valve defect (BAV) that caused a very large ascending aortic aneurysm that open heart surgery saved my life . My PCP is Christian, the first cardiovascular surgeon I was referred to is a Christian and the very specialized heart surgeon who did my 9 hour ohs is a Christian who prayed with me before surgery. He believes his hands and skills are God given and he is not arrogant. I see The Lord in every step of my medical journey, two years ago. I had an accurate diagnosis and CTA scans and echos confirmed it. My congregation and other Christian friends prayed for me. God created man and gifted him with certain skills. Sometimes “miraculously healed” is a misdiagnosis in the first place.

Jesus did miracles to prove who he was: The Messiah. Now we no longer need such proof. It is written down. Blessed are those that have NOT seen, and yet believe. God is in the medicine that we occasionally take to help us. It's just another way to help "heal" us. There are 13 church gifts once you remove the sign gifts and the ones for delivering God's word, called, THE WORD of Knowledge, and THE WORD of prophecy. God's word HAS BEEN delivered. It's the bible. Making up a category for something that no longer exists, seems a bit funny. I believe the sign gifts are clearly gone and the reason for them, are completely gone. Therefore I don't refer to myself as a "cessationist". I simply know what the bible says about gifts. The church gifts are for SERVING ONE ANOTHER. The sign gifts did no such thing. I had warts on my feet since I was 9. I felt ashamed to let anyone see my feet and when I was in my twenties I knew I needed to take time and have them removed. I could count 20 of them it was so bad. One night, while I was in worship before Jesus in my heart, I felt a strong presence. When I went home, and per my routine, I scrubbed my feet diligently in the shower. To my awe, I had no more worts. When I was healed from this 20 year simple, but off putting issue, I cried and thanked Jesus for this gift. See, I never even asked for this healing, but in one night was free of these warts.
When I asked God why He was so kind to me, He said the following..."You've always been welcome in My home, but you never let me was your feet. Thank you for letting me wash your feet."

      that Justin has presented.

      @ntlearning Год назад +4

@@ronaldtentschert6876 Spiritual gifts were still circulating in the early church for a couple of hundred years.
And the problem for Cessationists who claim the gifts disappeared with the apostles is:
Firstly, that's not historically Correct. Miracles were still happening throughout church history and protestants and roman catholics will both affirm this.
Secondly, the verse about "tongues will cease" has to do with the last days. Well, it's 2023 baby, and we are still waiting. So that was wrong.
Thirdly, and the most important argument, is that the Roman Catholic church has not deemed the gifts or speaking in tongues false. In fact, they even cautiously encourage it. That's a big problem for Cessationists who want to argue that Montanism was declared heresy in the early church. If there was any church group who would be the most aggressive towards false "montanist" doctrine contaminating their church it would be the RCC. And yet, the RCC see the current move of the spiritual gifts (which they call charisms) as a positive force in the church today and not the same as the Montanist argument.
Currently completing my masters in theology in the early church fathers in a Catholic university and am Pentecostal. Justin is way off so I doubt your research.
Buy hey, if you want Calvinism (like Justin) - which is a theology and philosophy that looks nothing like the early church - eat your heart out. Calvinism couldn't be the most far removed denomination from the early church than any other group.
And you know the big mistake us Pentecostals made? We got into bed with the evangelicals for respectability. Pentecostal scholars are calling for a "u-turn" to head back to our Anglican/Catholic/Methodist roots which actually would fit Pentecostalism better. I agree!

Despite what the Word of Faith movement proponents have promised you, you *_do not_* have the power or the authority to decree or declare anything. That is up to God and His divine sovereignty. You *_do not_* have the power to put words in God's mouth. You do *_not_* have the power or the right to manipulate God and hold him at ransom until He gives you what you want. You do not have the right to demand anything of God just because you gave money to some cult charlatan's ministry. You also do not have the power to curse anything. That, too, is only something that God does.
*_Just in case you have never heard the real Gospel message, let me share it with you briefly:_*
You are a wretched sinner who deserves the full force of God's eternal wrath for sinning against Him and against His creation. If you have not been converted/regenerated/saved by the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, then you are under God's curse, and His wrathful eye is glaring down upon you without relent. The *_only_* chance you have for salvation from God's righteous wrath and to appease Him is in Christ alone, and to completely give up sovereignty over your own life and any delusions you may have of making yourself righteous before God, and to plead with God to have mercy on you and save your soul.
This is not about repeating a few lines of someone else's prayer or "asking Jesus into your heart". This is not about Calvinism or Arminianism. You have a sin debt to a holy God the size of eternity and you do not have the ability to even make a dent in it, and no man-made religion can do anything about it.
You have no righteousness in you, so in Jesus' name, *_plead_* with God to give you a heart of flesh so that you may truly repent, and ask that the Holy Spirit would renew and regenerate your soul. Ask that God would impute the righteousness of Christ to you, and for Him to impute your sin upon Himself.

My daddy taught me that it doesn't matter what is written over the door of the church or what the neon sign says at the road. What matters is whats in your heart.
Proverbs say that every way of man is right in his own eyes but the lord ponders the heart. I was at home alone 25 years ago i was praying n just talking to the lord. I said lord this religion says read this that religion says read that. This group says say this that group says say that and so on and so on. I asked lord what r the people to believe. I felt to get the Bible i just layed it on the back of the couch it randomly fell open. Out of all the pages scripture and words written. When i looked down the first thing my eyes read was. When you seek for me with all your heart then i will be found.😮

@chucklee347. I understand what you mean by what is written over the door, but the fact is, that it does matter. It's a WARNING sign to all those who enter. God is NOT a denomination and neither am I. Denominations are what separate people. They don't rightly divide the word. It's always slanted their way, and not the way God meant. That takes, long hard studying. Denominations do not seek after God. They seek verses to try and support their views. Seek first the kingdom of God.....Jesus NEVER sought after the testimony of men because he knew what was in MAN. It's the sin nature. That is why the holy spirit was the one to give testimony to Jesus. It is the bible. Revelation 19:10. The purpose, or spirit of, prophecy is the testimony of Jesus. It's the bible. NO MORE PROPHETS. NO MORE APOSTLES. NO MORE SIGN GIFTS that confirmed the word of God. It HAS been confirmed. It's the bible. Charismatics are leading people down the wrong road and will be held accountable. I played drums for a church too, until I found out that the pastor believed you could lose your salvation. THAT is heresy. I never looked back. happy reading.

@@JerryPotter. Yeah you're correct I believe that also. There is no religion it's a relationship with God. The only way and one truth. Sure just man in general will have different views and different opinions over certain topics that's just human nature. But the overall picture is the same. And hey I'm just curious. About your last statement about losing salvation. I'm not sure of that but to me reading many different passages in old testament especially speaks of God turning away those that kept commiting sins and not repenting of their sin. So I've never believed once saved always saved that makes no sense for someone to get saved then afterwards return to their old ways. That's exactly what the scripture s talked about when it said a dog returns to his vomit. And many other scriptures that let us know that does not work. God let the people know many times return to me and repent and I will heal your land. So to me apparently we can walk away and so to speak lose salvation that Christ died for l. I'm curious who you view that if you don't mind me asking.

    • @JerryPotter.
      @JerryPotter. 10 месяцев назад

@@chucklee347 Hi thanks for the reply. I encourage any response. So let's get to it. What I said was, that pastor said as a sermon, that you could lose your salvation. I got the .... out of there. That is heresy. The difference between the old and new testament is the fact that the holy spirit NEVER stayed with anyone in the old. Jesus told his disciples that when the spirit comes, he will be WITH you AND IN you FOREVER. The dog returning to his vomit is about an UN believer; not a believer. It goes along with Hebrews 6. The whole point is that the same power that it took to save you, is the same power that keeps you saved. Those that go constantly back to their old ways are showing that they have never been saved in the first place. A change of mind and of lifestyle is the evidence of the spirit. Also, No man has the mind of God, unless he has the spirit of God. The natural man can not know the things of God. Therefore, you can find out if someone is a believer by what he says about God and scripture. There are millions of people who claim to be christians, but are not. The denomination gets in the way. So for the doctrine of "once saved, always saved" is Absolute truth because it is God who does the saving. Man does not cry out to God. We were all Born in sin. We are spiritually DEAD. A dead person can not cry out to God. He's DEAD. Either a person's name is in the Lamb's book of Life, or he's not. The power of the cross is sufficient to save all people but it is only applied to you when you get saved. God makes one vessel unto Mercy and one unto WRATH. He is the Potter; we are the clay. Does not the Potter have the right over the clay to make it as he wishes? You MUST understand what happened in the Garden of Eden. When ADAM fell into sin, We ALL DID. The name ADAM means, MANKIND. He represents all of mankind. What spiritually happened to him, came to all of us. Therefore at that point, Everyone was going to hell. Sin must be judged. God did it. Therefore God must choose by his own election, who will get saved. If he didn't choose, then no one would be saved. Therefore, Once saved, always saved. We are sealed by the holy spirit. You can't get, UN sealed. Where sin abounds, GRACE does much more abound. We all have the sin nature in us. We WILL sin from time to time. This is why we have an advocate with the father for our sins. It's Jesus, the righteous. The words "FALLEN from Grace" refers to unbelievers. They reject everything they have seen and heard, from other people and scripture. They have been told what sacrifice to bring to God, and they reject it. The Hebrew phrase, "Sinning willfully " means to bring the wrong type of sacrifice. It does NOT mean that you choose to sin because you want to. The sin nature already sins against God before anyone has ever heard about God. You were BORN in sin. So take heart if you ever felt that you could lose your salvation. As long as you have it, you can't lose it. It's a promise from God.

@@JerryPotter. Ok I'm finished reading it. Well if that's how you feel carry on. But I can't look at it like that. Jesus said in end time there will be some that come to him saying Lord haven't we healed the sick in your name Lord haven't we cast out devil's in your name. And in your name haven't we done mighty works. I don't know what you have seen in your life but to do these things you would absolutely have to be a believer and a follower as Christ said to do these things. And Jesus said he would tell them depart from me ye that work iniquity for I never knew you. Some might say well Jesus said I never knew you. But how many sinners or unbelievers has anyone ever seen to cast out devil's or heal sick people they wouldn't they don't believe it. So they were saved at one point but somewhere somehow walked away. And Jesus said it is better to have never known than to have known and walk away. Right now I'm sitting on the steps in Myrtle Beach looking at the ocean at texting you. Just got off work and I'm not concentrating that great now. But there's many more things that tell me. We can walk away from the great things the Lord wants to give us. As long as you're not out there living like a sinner on Saturday night I don't think believing or not believing once saved always saved will send anyone to heaven or hell. But what I know is that has to carefully be discussed a lot of could easily take that and run with it. Thinking they can get saved then turn around and live anyway they want to and they'll be ok. I agree someone doing that didn't get the real thing to start with. But tell them that. Good luck to you and God bless you. I want to add a reply that. I believe When Jesus said depart from me for I never knew you he meant like when you come to Christ salvation all the bad we have done is to never be reminded again. That's a promise. And because those fell Christ said he would say I never knew you none of the good they had done would be remembered again.

Almost every time, they are real words, in real languages and match with what my heart was praying. No, I don't speak in tongues in public or at church but more privately or if I am praying for someone. Folks, plz be careful that you are not calling something that is the H.S. is of the devil! Does he know that Paul said that he was grateful that he spoke in tongues more than the rest of them? Jesus said that those who believe and are baptized will speak in other tongues!! Look it up. Did Jesus lie?!?!
Here's another supernatural verse spoken by Jesus. Did He lie?!
"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall SPEAK with NEW TONGUES; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover".

To make a long story short, I am grateful for the good and the bad and learning to let go of beliefs that have no place in the Christian life I live now. Slandering others is addressed clearly in the Word. I respectfully ask that someone help you get the log out of your own eye. I know I fall short of the glory of God. And that is something that you do not know how to do. ALL of the church gifts are for SERVING ONE ANOTHER. Since you do not know what your gift is, IF you are a true believer, then you can't serve anyone. You just talk. And how could you know what your gift is, when you don't know what the gifts are? You seem to talk to only the ones that agree with you, so you can pat each other on the back. You serve no one. Making comments, is not proof of scripture.

I want to express a comment. I was raised a Baptist, but was i vited to a United Penecostal Church while junior high. I noticed when they worshipef that they seemed to really feel something when they sang to God. I loved the service so much that I went back to visit when I got in College. I later got a Bible study On Repentance, True Baptistism, and the Holy Ghost. I prayed to God that if I needed to do this to give it to me. I went to the altar twice, seeking the Holy Ghost. First time I prayed that if this Church preaches the yruth, then let me experience the Holy Ghost enough to fall out in the spirit. I went to the altar, repented and the Holy Ghost fell on me like a bright light, with his pose all over me.
It was so strong that I could no longer stand, I fell out in the spirit, this confirmed that this Church Preaches the Truth. I was baptized by immersion in Jesus name, and the following week I went to the altar again and prayed if I have to have the Holy Ghost, then give it to me. I fell out in the spirit, and prayed for the Holy Ghost with people praying with me. I felt the power of God all over my tongue. I thrn prayed to God yo let me speak in tongues if it was necessary for salvation. Then my tongue moved to a different place in my mouth
as words that I had never spoken before came out if my mouth. I still speak in tongues today. I do not believe we are the same as the Charismatic movement. Our belief started on the day of Pentecost. If you will study Church History you will see that God gave this to all of the disciples, but it was lost during dark ages. But God brought pieces of truth back to the church ad a whole through one or two truths, starting with the Prodesent Movement. God showed one denomination, to get politics out of the Church, another to baptise by immersion, another to live holy, then at Azuza Street, God brought people from different denominations and God restored what was lost during dark ages back to the Church. The Pentecostal Churches. Yes there are two kinds. We were trinity, but God revealed to some of them to go back to their churches and rebaptize their people in Jesus name. You will not find an example of anyone that was baptized in titles Father, Son, Holy Ghost. God is our Father in Creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Ghost, our Comforter and power to live right, and giver of the fruits and gifts of God. There are counterfeits to all things that are true. We have had charasmstics that come yo our churches that tell that they were taught to speak in tongues, and many if them do not believe that it is necessary to change from living a sinful life. We are not to judge people, but we can judge their fruits. If they do not have the fruits of the spirit, you can question whether they are true or false.

I was born in the catholic religion. But in 1961 didn’t know God was calling me out of a world of Sin into a glorious life with Him. So I started going to a Lutheran church and was in church Al the time sang in the choir went to Bible study every week. But was still lost spiritually. As time went on I wasnt getting what I was suppose to get so in 1975 I was invited to a college auditorium to hear these two gospel brothers minister in music. And a salvation message. When it came time to go forward to give my life to Jesus I stood up and started walking forward toward the stage. I felt a power like I’ve never felt before get me out if my seat. I wanted to run but I couldn’t. I knelt down by this chair and just asked the Father to forgive every sin I’ve ever committed. It felt like 50 lbs of weight come off of me and knew something supernatural had happened. At this time I didn’t really know the word of God. Never heard of being Born Again or Saved. I started going to this church and before that I was baptized in complete immersion. When I came up out if the water I was shaking all over and speaking in this unknown tongue. I never knew anything about the Baptism of the Holy Ghost or the 9 gifts of the Spirit. The reason I’m writing this is because I want Justine Peters to know that the Baptism of the Holy Ghost was not just for the early Christians back 2000 yrs ago. But my Bible tells me that God is no respector of persons. And he needs to read and reread the book of Acts. And pray God shows him that it was for them and for their children and to them that are afar off meaning us today. Jesus told them to go to the Upper Room and wait for the promise of the Father. That He knew He was going back to the Father and that the church would be equipped with power over Satan and his demons. All those back them were getting baptized in the Holy Ghost some even before they got saved.
Now almost 49 yrs of walking with the Master evangelizing in many cities seeing many demonic things I can atest that I’ve seen His power manifested when on one summer day I was out with my friend soul winning. This took place in Sacramento Calif. as I was standing at this location this man unbeknown to me came up to me and pulled the tracts out of my hands and he stuck his finger in my face. The Holy Ghost took over. I said to this demon in this man in the name of Jesus Satan I command you to get your finger out of my face and immediately his right arm began to shake as he started to put it behind his back and he said what’s all this binding stuff. Cus I said to him before this I bind you Satan in Jesus name. God showed not only him Gods power but showed me also. Now mind you I’ve only been saved about 6 yrs.
What took place. Without this power He has given His church we would have let the enemy take full control of us. The name of Jesus is the most powerful weapon we have and most believers don’t know how to do spiritual warfare. Now I’m 88 yrs old. And I know my relationship with God is solid and I don’t make this stuff up. Cus I know I will have to give an acct for everything I do and say. I also know that many In denominations don’t know the book of Acts and don’t believe it’s for our day. Well the devil is just as powerful today as he was back then. Apostle Paul said I speak in tongues more than you all. When a person speaks in tongues it’s a perfect prayer. It bypasses your intellectual mind as you don’t have to think of what to pray cus it’s the Holy Spirit praying thru you. And Satan can’t interpret your prayer. I could be praying for someone in the body of Christ that needs prayer and the Holy Spirit knows better than I do.
Jesus said out if your belly shall flow living waters. I could tell you more of my experiences on the streets but I can’t list them all here. But I’ve seen his power now many times with different people. Yes some believers misuse the gifts of the spirit. I’ve prayed for the sick. I’ve had word of knowledge told to me and it all came true. So it bothers me that Christians are so defeated and so lukewarm today. Even president Trump told the Christians you have no idea how much power you gave. Not to boast cus we have to stay humble and give all the glory and credit to God. Of ourselves we can do nothing. But Justin is turning Christians against the book of Acts. Cus we believers are still writing the book of Acts. I don’t go along with these prosperity preachers. But i just pray for them. If we believers know the Bible God will show us what’s going on among the church. He will give us discernment. That’s what the Holy Ghost does leads us into all truth. Amen.

Also you actually do have it in 1 Corinthians 13:8. You throw the baby with the water because it is not a baby but a very large bug. The thing in itself started with heretics. You do not have orthodox teachers to promote this kind of stuff in history. The only reason that now there are continuationists who are true believers and not completely heterodox is because they watered it down. Through reading the works of Jonathan Edwards God laid all my theology in a heap at my feet.
I thank God for his love and mercy to me and my family for setting me free from these false teachings.
It was after hearing Morris Cerullo in London at the Royal Albert Hall that God supernaturally opened my eyes to his lying boasts.
The night before I had attended a meeting by Dr Martin Lloyd Jones, and realised that what he preached was a far different gospel to what a morris Cerullo was preaching.
I had to leave the Pentecostal movement, but God by his love and grace as quick as he demolished my theology built me up quickly in a reformed love of the truth.
I thank God for all his great mercies, but those who truly are God’s cannot be deceived forever. God knows who are truly his and they will never be confounded. Blessed be God for his faithful love and mercy.

To know someone is in error and to want to only share the truth yet ..doing it when they are not here to hear it. To be done in front of the world but infront of them? To share show things about them yet never showing the good they do for Chirst? Yeah they do more for Christ then ALL here with Justin. HOW can you people that say you LOVE JESUS yet hate your bother.
Please don't .. I can quote you only the word, about how we are to think, how we are to speak, and Christ love one another as I have loved you. Then that same love He loves us we are to do to our enemy. And Pent/Char/Word of faith are not our enemy. They all like me believe Christ came in the flesh died on the cross for the worlds sin was burired rose the 3rd day is the only way to the Father.
I have never spoke a evil word about Justin or any other. The world can see some of you almost hate Pent/Char/Word of faith. What believer just takes all Christ gives as in mercy grace forgiveness and will not share this this show this to ALL? You know the sis and erros they do but.. you as the light do not know the GOOD they do for Christ.
You are not of God. yeah I know and agree with allot of what Jsutin says but.. hes wrong. Well what hes doing is no calling its not in the word. We all can judge yet told not to because Justin is case in point. Can't do it in love. You have GODS EAR and you take there fautls sins goof ups before MAN? Before SINNERS? YES this is RUclips.. and you people don't care
Your not talking about one man they have families kids babies and look how you treat them. And you thank a man for going out of his way to find faults in others. OThers that preach something they do not agree with. Making sure you leave out all the GOOD they do for Christ. Sorry sis but its been over 20 years that I have known the good they do yet do not agree with all they teach. But I show them love mercy grace forgiveness because Christ did this for me EVERY DAY! How can I not love you no matter what you do how far you fall yet KNOW THIS. I am one of thoes Justin goes after. Yet know someone out there is praying for you. You are not the enemy I know who it is and I have all authority power over him I have no power no authority over ANY MAN
Yeah understand that. We do not have power authority over others. We are no ones god. You do not answer to me. So you can teach preach what ever you want I can disagree not like it but I have not been given any right to tell you what to do. Justin has people within that have the right to speak on what he does. He has no right to speak evil negative about anyone were told EPH 4 not to. However, the danger is that every charismatic gets lumped together and tarred with the same brush. There are millions of charismatics who believe emphatically in the “5 Solas”, reject hyper charismania and are committed to the gospel. There are also cessationists who also follow dubious doctrines. They also need to be exposed.

@biblestudywithstephenrussell: I've never met a charismatic that has sound doctrine. As for cessationists who follow dubious doctrines, that is outside of the cessationism of the sign gifts. A lot of them don't have scripture down with the details, and make mistakes on other types of scripture, but at least they have the idea of the Sign gifts as being gone. Cessationism is only about the sign gifts and nothing else. It is easy to point out the truth, and yet people on both sides, miss it completely. It's bad teaching from bad teachers. So to me, ALL false doctrine needs to be addressed to anyone who has it. I wish people would STOP using "religious sounding words" and titles of types of beliefs. It is utter foolishness. Some say 5 solas, and some say 3. The question is, WHY? And why bother. If it is not scripturally sound, then who cares? In 36 years of teaching, it is appalling as to how little people know of scripture. They either guess at it, or they repeat what they have been told. There is no more "rightly dividing the word'. Studying is almost absent. "They will not endure sound doctrine" has taken over. When anyone claims to be a denomination, they are DEAD wrong. God is not a denomination and does not follow someone else's bible. The words are HIS and are meant to be understood His way alone. That takes time and effort.

The reality is that there are Classical Biblical Pentecostals who adhere to strict Holiness Bible teaching and sanctification and the full gospel who the actual heirs of the actual forerunners of the Early Pentecostal Movement. Examples are the Church of God(Cleveland, TN), the International Pentecostal Holiness Church and The Assembles of God. None of these denominations which came before a lot of false Charismatic teaching approve of a lot of modern Charismatic excess. True Classical Biblical Pentecost has nothing to do with NAR, Prosperity Gospel, or any Charismatic excess. In fact, True Biblical Pentecost recognizes that a lot of Charismatic teaching is false doctrine that invaded or tried to copy the Pentecostal Church without the true anointing and true gifts of the Holy Ghost. It is no different in how Calvinist and Cessationsist denominations have their own problems with Churches becoming more liberal. A lot of Charismatic excess and strange fire is nothing but Satan trying to copy and mimic and make light of the real Holy Ghost anointing to turn people off from True Biblical Pentecost.

the pastor of the church I attend was diagnosed with a collpased lung on one side many months ago. He led in the worship and preached. Evrery breath was a struggle. You could hear him gurgling as he breathed. He would have coughning fits, and often he had to have somebody else lead in the singing. At the end of the morning he would be worn out. The assembly began to pray for him in earnest that God would heal him. One person laid their hands on him and commanded any spirit of infirmity to come our of him, just like in the Gospels. At another time, a brother commanded his collapsed lung to inflate in the name of Jesus. That was several months ago. a few weeks later at he preachged without any trouble. At one time he was struck by something that caused him to laugh joyfully. He continued to explain something but couldn't stop laughing - more like chuckling. I was taking note of this happening in the congregation, and wonderfully amazed that he had not been coughing or spluttering, gurgling or wheezing all through the morning.
At the end of the service time, he began to tell the small congregation that a few weeks back (about the same time that the person who had commanded his lung to inflate in Jesus name) he felt something unexplainable happen in his body and he specficially mentioned he had no idea what it was. Being curious, he went to have his doctor etc check him out and the report came back that his lung that had been collapsed was no longer collapsed but was fully functional. The congregation gave praise ot God for His mercy to our brother and pastor. Since then he has had no trouble breathing, and he sings at full strength with the joy of the Lord.
Jesus Christ healed his lung - with NO Medical intervention. Our brother has also had a cracked disc reparied through prayer and the laying on of hands. I can testify to this merciful miracle of our God Jehovah Rapha - the Lord who is Healing us Exodus 15:26.
Psalm 103 - Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me, bless His holy name. And forget not all His benefits; who forgives ALL your sins and HEALS ALL your diseases."
this is an old testament promise. It is an atonement promise.
Isaiah 53 speaks of the Messiah who would bear all our pains and diseases. Matthew 8:17 bears testimony to this. Jesus took to Himself not only oru sins but also our sicknesses and our pains. These things are part of His atoning work on the cross.
Acts 10:38 Jesus went about healing ALL who were opressed of the Devil for God was with Him. All diseases are an oppressioj of the Devil.
There is no sickness and no sin in Heaven
Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done, on earth as in Heaven. Matthew 6.
Jesus told us to pray that the condition of Heaven would become a reality on earth. WE are of the earth as to our mortal bodies. May that blessings of Heaven flow into our spirits and into our mortal bodies - in the name and authority of Jesus Christ.
Salvation is for the whole man not just for sins to be forgiven, but bodies healed by the atoning, redeeming God glorifying work of Jesus Christ for His glory.

I thought for years that I was missing something not being "baptized in the Spirit" and not speaking in tongues or prophesying, however with biblical knowledge and a lifetime of following Christ, I never worry about that anymore. I keep my faith in Christ simple: biblical knowledge, prayer, faith in what Christ did on the cross, and living my life out with His Spirit in me. Then I worked there.
But I get detailed visions and an out loud voice from God that's loud in my ear the voice of God and I can see amd discern angelic and demonic spirits.
Baptists just attack you and say you're not allowed to have gifts - I had never heard of new age I learned about that like I'm against it but like maybe a year or two ago.
I'm sorry I don't make you feel like other pentacostal but I'm so tired of Baptists attacking Christian people ...

I agree with you @ P.G. Pray for unity in the body. I believe calling out false doctrine has a place within the body - brother to brother - one on one first. Sometimes, when I see well-known Christian leaders criticizing each other publicly I am so sad. Usually I am most saddened by the prideful manner in which they make their presentations. Not loving. Doesn’t seem to come from love but from arrogance. And I often agree with what they’re saying but not the way or the manner in which it is said. Or even the platform on which it is presented. And sometimes it’s done in church services with such a lack of love, which teaches congregants to be just as arrogant, judgmental and unloving. God saved me in a charismatic Word of Faith church. Loving brothers and sisters from other denominations took the time to have conversations with me that taught me better how to rightly divide the word of truth and I left that denomination. Now there were others who were very critical of me before I knew better. They were conservative, mean and unloving in their approach and it caused me to not want to listen. But those that took the time to lovingly teach me were heard. I wonder what Jesus thinks of this behavior. I often wonder whether or not Christian leaders have first attempted to reach out to each other before publicly attempting to shame one another. It really is so very sad. Jesus prayed about this very thing. He wants unity in His body.
“I am not asking on behalf of these alone, but also for those who believe in Me through their word, that they may all be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, SO THAT THE WORLD MAY BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE SENT ME.” John 17:20-21 NASB
There is a lot at stake!
Pray pray pray for the body of Christ and its leaders. Pray like Jesus prayed. 😢

Wisdom comes from bible facts, and that comes through knowledge. Breaking the rules of speaking only shows that someone is NOT following the word of God. That's not very wise. In fact, in some cases, it leads to heresy. Verses taken out of context, is very harmful. Experiences do not validate scripture. I've taught for 36 years. @@PennySmart Hello Penny. I've been teaching for 37 years and I use the original languages to help people understand better. I'm afraid you have a long way to go if you want to understand what "tongues' WERE. Paul said that tongues would CEASE and they did: 2000 years ago. So it is NOT the same. Everyone breaks the rules that Paul laid down, simply because they don't exist anymore.. The gift didn't come until the disciples became the apostles. Tongues started in the OLD testament. They were indeed real languages and Paul explains what they were for, and to whom they were for, as well as, Why. If you really want to learn about the gifts and their purpose, then get back to me and we can go over it. I can prove in one verse that NONE of the sign gifts exist. The CHURCH GIFTS are not the sign gifts. The church gifts were for, "Serving One Another". The sign gifts did not. Mark 16:20 tells you what they were for. Hebrews 2:3-4 tells you the same thing, only the Greek is even in much more detail. The Sign gifts were for the Apostles ONLY. So let me know if you really want to learn, or if you are just curious. People were running around with flags and "speaking in tongues." The lady behind me scared me half to death when she started to sound like a Muslim at noon in a cryer tower! Obviously, being Catholic it was way out of my wheelhouse as our Mass is fastly different. ANYWAY! The ministers were encouraging people to come up front to be saved. As I'm watching I notice the 4 ministers working their way down to one end. I then notice a man go up to be saved but there was also another one next to him literally placing him in a specific spot. I leaned over to my friend and said, "You see that man right there? He's going to fall out as soon as all 4 ministers get to the stairs." Sure as heck...he threw up his hands, hollered and threw himself on the floor! All 4 ministers came down and laid hands on him and he popped right up.😅
I looked at my friend, who's jaw was on the floor, and said, "You know better." Then I got up and left.

The Bible is FINISHED. Did YOU ever write scripture? Did you confirm anything with signs? If you say "yes', you are a lying heretic. So first, you need to get out of your church and study for a few years. And stop being a parrot and repeating what you have been told. Paul tells you that tongues ceased because he told you where they came from: THE OLD TESTAMENT. So ask yourself; why hasn't anyone taught you about THAT, and why haven't you read it for yourself? I just proved to you in ONE verse that tongues don't exist. Now how are you going to approach God? A little humility and asking for help, goes a long ways.

@@jasonbryan8316 You are dead wrong. "Not by might and NOT BY POWER, but by my Spirit, says the Lord". Paul never said to desire gifts. The Spirit gives them as HE wills. Paul is saying to be zealous of the gifts; wanting them all to be in the church. That is why he says, "the hand can not say to the foot, I have no need of you". Everyone depends on everyone else. Next: Jesus sent out the Apostles to preach to all nations. The Apostles never came to the Americas or Japan, or Australia or Korea. Does that mean they disobeyed God? NO. Now you need to figure out the answer. Also, Jesus said, Behold the kingdom of God is upon you. He is talking about himself.

I attended a number of Word of Faith churches; none of them looked down on medical care. People were always advised to use wisdom and seek medical attention for illness and to believe in healing through prayer, the Word of God, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Ironically, it was an alleged "Orthodox Presbyterian" college fellowship leader who told me that Christians should not go out of their way to care for their health, including exercising, because such activity was born out of a fear of dying. She also taught us not to study hard in college, not to work hard, and not to marry. She always identified Word of Faith teachers as false, but she had many false teachings of her own.
Word of Faith pastors taught me that Christians should be good stewards of all God has given them, including their health.
Yes, Pentecostals have made errors and should correct them, but they are not the only ones. Pentecostals need to study and teach the Bible line by line as Baptists do. Baptists need to anoint the sick with oil and expect them to be healed as the book of James teaches (it calls for the elders of the church, not the apostles, to do so).
Also Baptists need to acknowledge that believers received the baptism of the Holy Spirit when the apostles laid hands on them; that is clearly not the same as being saved which is accomplished by belief and confession.
Everyone has mistakes to correct; "let God be true, and every man a liar" (every means every).

    I always enjoy your teaching!
I was raised Methodist, with my high school years being 70 through 74… That was the time when I was really starting to pay attention. It was not strong Sunday school or Bible study offered and I didn't hear a lot about Jesus Christ. I heard a lot about social justice.
When I was 21 I went over to the Episcopal church… And there I received an in-depth education into the tenets of the Christian faith at a time when the Episcopal church was definitely Sola Scriptura standing entirely on scripture for everything they said and did. (I am aware that's changed). There was a charismatic movement happening in some Episcopal churches. The bishop of the Central Florida diocese, the Rev. John Howe, was charismatic but not charismatic in the "jumping up-and-down rolling in the aisles" sense. It was in the sense that there was the belief that the Charismata could still manifest "at certain times" in certain ways to Christians pursuing their faith in depth. That, as in the very early Christian church, the Holy Spirit enriched one's Christian faith, mentored them as they read scripture, empowered prayer, and yes, ON OCCASION , healing could take place. Prophecy at a gathering was rare, was defined as "a Word from God" and only when someone else was also present to confirm it and it had to entirely agree with Scripture. Prophecy DID NOT ADD to the canon in any way. Prophecy did NOT foretell the future. And you did not hear people praying out loud in a prayer language. Unknown tongues edify no one. I remember going to the bishop one evening after a Friday night service because I was very troubled at a time when I was under heavy conviction from the Holy Spirit for things I had not brought to God and settled with him. And I was filled with self-loathing. The bishop listened kindly and patiently and explained what it was like to be under conviction by the Holy Spirit and that it was an example of God's love for us to bring us into correction so that we can get right with him for the sake of our souls and our faith. But then he said "I will pray for you before you go and pray that God will begin to show you how he sees you". I anticipated a polite little prayer followed by a pat on the shoulder and I would be on my way. I should also add that there was NEVER any "slaying in the spirit" happening in our church at any time. So he lightly touched my shoulder and began to pray and I don't remember anything that he prayed because almost immediately I was enveloped in a penetrating warmth and even though my eyes were closed there was an Intense penetrating light all around me… I could even smell the smell of fresh rain coming… And I felt that I was in the midst of the most perfect warm and loving embrace I had ever experienced. I felt completely and perfectly loved in that moment and I was acutely aware that the most high God knew who I was and was casting his gaze upon me in that moment and that I was loved and I was accepted. I knew that I was experiencing "the peace that passes all understanding". During that time in the embrace of the Holy Spirit , even though it was only the Bishop and I standing off to the side near the altar, while this was happening I felt that I was encircled by many people all around me praying for me. When it came to an end and I opened my eyes it was still just the Bishop and myself. But I knew that I had encountered God's Holy Spirit that night and it was life-changing. You may be tempted to say that I imagined it because I wanted it to happen. But I wasn't expecting anything to happen. I had had zero supernatural experiences associated that the charismatic movement is so famous for. And as I said before, those things didn't happen in our church or in our diocese. We were never taught to see the Holy Spirit as a side show entertainer. I had NO expectation of the Holy Spirit showing up to perform for me or to treat me to a "buzz". However, He DID show up and touched me and my life in a really powerful way.
I have had people tell me that the Holy Spirit doesn't work that way anymore ... I believe that he does but in circumstances that will advance the gospel in some way and/or will bring honor and glory to his name.
I agree that the charismatic movement has taken things to extremes in a way that are not biblical. But we must be very careful about saying that these things don't or cannot happen…
I witnessed organic healing in a church member that a group of us prayed for… (I'm an ICU RN) X-rays revealed defined nodules in his lungs. He was going for a CAT scan the next day and we all prayed for him and laid our hands on him as we did so asking for God to remove the offending nodules from his lungs. When he went for the CAT scan the results came out clear… The nodules were gone. They had already ruled out infection when the first x-rays were taken showing the nodules so there's no reason to believe that it was simply an infection that had finally resolved. Our prayers brought about the power and grace of God to deliver healing. Do I witness physical healing frequently? Absolutely not but ...last but not least I experienced my own healing. I had gone for my regular mammogram and was told that there was an abnormality. They did a follow up ultrasound and told me that I was going to have to have further work up and a needle biopsy because there was a mass in my left breast And there were roots coming out from it in different directions. The radiologist looked me right in the eye and actually told me "this looks like malignancy and you need to not waste any time". Naturally I was very frightened. But I knew that I could bring it to God and that I could ask for his healing. And we got many people to join and pray for me continually for the next few days until the appointment when the biopsy was going to be performed… And on the day that I went for the biopsy I already knew that it wasn't there anymore. And they confirmed that. It was completely gone without any medical intervention… only prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit. I was very blessed!
With God, all things are possible. We shouldn't give false hope to people ... but neither should we steal all hope.

I love your testimony. I am also a retired nurse - cardiac and ventilators was my specialty in telemetry. I agree absolutely that not all people receive true healings and some are sick on a psychosomatic basis but there are organic healings. My minister and his wife have a healing ministry and she received an unexplainable miraculous healing that the doctor cannot explain (and she is also a retired nurse). I also know others who received spontaneous healings and are now free of pain yet they never asked for any healing. Our God is great and all things are possible through Jesus' Previous Blood. And I am also a breast cancer survivor. The chemo almost killed me. I knew I would die and so the doctor lowered my dose and I survived. I knew the chemo would shrink the Her2Nu positive Stage II B lump. But I was not born again when I went through this but since being born again I have experienced organic healing as well. And I am so very happy that you were healed of the breast cancer and avoided the chemo, radiation and lumpectomy x 2 that I experienced. I would not wish it on my worst enemy. Praise God for His healing you. God bless you for your faith. You are a living example of faith. Please continue to share your testimony. Others need to hear it. It is important and affirms that healings exist in this present day. Since being born again (along with my husband) on my 29th wedding anniversary (Valentine's Day) in 2020 at age 62 I have also witnessed so many others becoming born again and receiving healing as well as having a demon cast out - all courtesy of the ministers my husband and I assist. I came out of New Age so I know first hand that witchcraft and demons and curses exist. Without testimony from you and others, it is hard for people to understand because they have not experienced these things. If you ever heard anointed music at a church service you know the Holy Spirit is there and has touched the musicians and singers. It brings tears to your eyes. But again unless someone experiences these things or sees them first hand you will always have those who are skeptical. It is our job as Christians to witness and share and if it falls on some deaf ears so ve it. Your testimony will touch many but sadly not all. But that is okay. Just please don't stop sharing your wonderful testimony

I skipped around a little bit on this video. I would like to see some evidence that Pentecostal missionaries said that speaking in tongues was not speaking in languages not know to the ones speaking it. Some Pentecostal missionaries (without Biblical support, just based on a Parham theory that became popular) thought they could just go overseas and speak in tongues and it would be the local tongue.
I would like to see his evidence that Pentecostals after that or even today believe that speaking in tongues is gibberish. From my perspective, Chinese and Vientamese people speak gibberish... because I don't know those languages. I can't even pick out words I might know like in Latin. I read in a book from the early days of the Charismatic movement, "The New Charismatics II" that Charismatics were expecting to speak in real languages.
I don't know that all claims of speaking in tongues are genuine languages. I wouldn't claim that. I suspect when the late brother Vinson Synan interviewed individuals who were still alive from the Azusa Street Revival, he was concerned about some people speaking gibberish instead of languages ruclips.net/video/Gw5IRJyKbxc/видео.html
It is also not true that when you go to a Pentecostal church, you don't hear genuine languages as speaking in tongues, because on occasion it has happened. But it isn't typical. Usually it is the I Corinthians 14 'no man understandeth him' situation. The congregation did not know the language either, and an interpretation was needed there in Corinth for the church to be edified, as is the case today.
There had been plenty of experiences of people hearing 'speaking in tongues' in languages they knew naturally at the Azusa Street revival and other Pentecostal meetings. There are quite a number of testimonies about this recorded in 'The Apostolic Faith', the Azusa Street revival newsletter. I have also read this in books from those who were there like Val Dez's _First on Azusa_ and in _the Comforter Has Come_. One of Vinson Synan's interviewees who was at the revival said in a video on RUclips that people speaking coming to the meetings and hearing their own languages, Japanese, etc. was something that caused the meetings to grow.
One of the missionaries, AG Garr spoke in tongues, not the normal tongue he spoke in when he spoke in tongues, and someone who had spoken in tongues indicated to him that he had spoken Bangla/Bengali. When he went to India and spoke in tongues, it did not turn out to be the local dialect.
This was an example of conjecture. I have heard/read it from cessationists, too, that the purpose of tongues was for the apostles to preach the Gospel in every language. But there is no Biblical support for this. Acts 2 doesn't guarantee that every times tongues are spoken someone will be present who understands. In I Corinthians 14 Paul wrote of the one who speaks in tongues, "No man understandeth him." In Acts 2, speaking in tongues drew attention and amazement while others responded with mocking and derision.... but then Peter ____preached the Gospel____ and many were cut to the heart, repented, were baptized, and were added to the church.

In the past, My children were intimidated and oppressed, and since the Father holds power for the children, My children will return to My loving embrace, never to be intimidated and oppressed again. More importantly, this is the only way that will allow My first born children to reign with Me in power.)

Because the CHANGE is HAPPENING NOW, PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW WHERE they will step NEXT. It will only be revealed after My judgment. Remember! 😪
These are the steps in My work, and this is the way I work. For ALL My FIRSTBORN CHILDREN, I will comfort them one by one, I will RAISE them step by step; as for the servants, I will remove and abandon them one by one. 🙏 ☀️
This is a part of My management plan. After all the servants have been revealed, My firstborn children will also be revealed. (For Me, this is very easy. AFTER THEY HEAR My WORDS, ALL the SERVANTS will gradually retreat BEFORE THE JUDGMENT and threat of My WORDS, and ONLY My FIRSTBORN CHILDREN will be left. 🙏
It is not a voluntary thing nor can it be changed by human will; rather, it is My Spirit personally working.)
This is not a distant event, and you should somehow and must infer it from within this phase of My work and My words. Why I will speak so much and the unpredictability of My expressions is beyond people's understanding. @Pete_KPJ Nice comment. That's the first sensible thing I've read in awhile. I've taught for 36 years and I have no problem with calling out false teachers. The purpose is to protect those people who get trapped in this stuff because they don't take the time to research the truth. They think that putting in their time in church is all they need to do. God would rather they study for a few years and then have the knowledge to find a good teaching church. If you have any questions, I'd be glad to help you. Justin Peters is a good teacher, but he does leave a lot out. He speaks against basic false teaching through certain types of people, but that doesn't mean that he is going over it all for the sake of teaching the subject. I look for the ones that have questions, because they are so confused, and to the point of being hurt, or having their lives ruined by false teaching. They think God has forgotten them somehow. Happy Reading.

I've personally seen the dead coming back to life, people on their death bed making a full recovery, tumors passing and being flushed down the toilet, aids disappearing, after the prayer of faith and the laying on of hands, etc, etc. Not to mention, I speak in tongues daily. And you've totally missed the point. Justin Peters, and Co, need to sort their own church out before they (and you) can start preaching to other traditions. You can start with these guys (and its only just a short list, there are lots more).

      2. Sam Storms: A pastor and author who aligns with Reformed theology and is also open to charismatic practices.

      4. Matt Chandler: The lead pastor of The Village Church in Texas, Chandler holds to Reformed theology and is open to charismatic gifts.
      5. Mark Driscoll: Formerly the pastor of Mars Hill Church, Driscoll held to Reformed theology and was also open to charismatic practices.
      6. C.J. Mahaney: A pastor and leader in the Sovereign Grace Ministries, Mahaney combines Reformed theology with charismatic beliefs.
      7. Terry Virgo: Founder of Newfrontiers, an international network of charismatic churches, Virgo holds to Reformed teachings.
      8. Francis Chan: Known for his books and passionate preaching, Chan holds to Reformed theology and is open to charismatic expressions.
      9. Tim Keller: While not overtly charismatic, Keller, the founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City, holds to Reformed theology and has shown openness to the work of the Holy Spirit in charismatic ways.
      10. D.A. Carson: A respected theologian and professor, Carson holds to Reformed theology and has written about the work of the Holy Spirit in a way that's open to charismatic gifts.
And these are just some names from the Reformed tradition. The gifts of the Spirit are moving in Lutheranism, Reformed, Methodism, Anglicanism, Messianic Jews, Baptists, Catholicism and even Orthodoxy and the ana-Baptists. This includes people like NT Wright, one of the greatest Protestant Anglican theologians in the world today to popular Messianic ministries like Rabbi Schneider.
      Please educate yourself.

There is some helpful information, but his dismissive, sarcastic tone detracts. Continuationism vs cessationism is biblical, defensible. Like John MacArthur, going after the lunatic fringe of charismania is not a refutation of a biblical, balanced, classical Pentecostal belief and practice (orthodoxy and orthopraxy in line with Acts; I Cor. properly interpreted and applied).
There are also logical fallacies. The imperfection of men, including Peters, does not mean a belief or practice is automatically false or not from God originally. We need discernment, not throwing the proverbial baby out with the bathwater. I Cor. 12-14 is about the uses and abuses of spiritual gifts, not their supposed cessation (which happens at the end of the Church Age, not the start of it....perfection is the return of Christ when they are no longer needed I Jn. 3:2, not the Catholic closing of the canon....Spirit and Word, both/and vs either/or. Most anti-charismatics do not deny healing (Alliance; A.B. Simpson). It is simply not true that all healings are psycho-somatic or there are no miracles today (see Craig Keener's extensive research). A person dying of something in the end is not an argument against earlier or other miracles. Make an argument, not an assertion that is a non sequitur or ad hominem attacks.
Hinn and Kulhman both wore white so they are basically the same person?! Huh? I wore white at my wedding. Does that make me either one of them?
Egalitarianism vs complementarianism is also a debatable issue among equally godly, capable believers.
Peters and MacArthur have same ideas, so they must be the same person?
Copeland demon possessed? Half crazy, but that is a big accusation without proof or discernment.
The cessationists who grieve and quench the Holy Spirit and have an unbiblical belief and practice should not be exalted. The issue here is attacking the lunatic fringe of charismania and not discerning the biblical, balanced charismata based on sound biblical exegesis, discernment, etc. The classical Pentecostals are also against the charismatic nonsense, but do not throw the baby out with the bath water in a Pharisaical way, attributing the works of the Holy Spirit and Jesus to demons?!
There are better sources for Pentecostal/charismatic history that are less biased than this video. Get some of the books with more detailed research:

Amen. Love this statement of yours: "I Cor. 12-14 is about the uses and abuses of spiritual gifts, not their supposed cessation (which happens at the end of the Church Age, not the start of it....perfection is the return of Christ when they are no longer needed "
They fail to go on to read the following verse from that passage, and just stop at "when the perfect has come," thinking that means the canon is closed, for some strange reason.
"For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face."
What does face to face mean? It is referring to when we see Jesus face to face at his coming."

Judge not that you be not judged, Paul thought he was doing the will of God by having Christians killed and it haunted him the rest of his life when he became a Christian himself he later confessed that he found mercy because he did it ignorantly, God looks at the heart the inside not the outside BEWARE OF MURDERING WITH YOUR TONGUE! BLESS AND CURSE NOT! FOR WITH WHAT judgment you judge you shall be judged and what MEASURE YOU METE it shall be measured to you again! Satan is the accuser of the brethren not Christians or God!!!

Hi Justin. I attend a Wesleyan Church and I’ve never heard of John Wesley believing in a second experience or total sanctification. We believe in striving for holiness but we understand and accept the fact that it won’t happen on this side of heaven. We just don’t believe in taking grace for granted and running head first into sin every chance you get.

I've been in the Wesleyan Methodist church for over 40 years and John Wesley did teach we should strive to be Holy as the LORD is Holy and it is a progression over a life time or can be a special sanctification to preach the gospel.
I have personally witnessed this. Remember that the enemy will always copycat the real because satan wants to be God. So there is a real santification of the Holy Spirit and there is a false. The false has been soooo prevalent in the last century.
I believe there was a 1st century special outpouring of the Holy Spirit as the book of Acts records and among those were the speaking of different kinds of languages. In that upper room at pentecost where Jesus said to "Wait until the Holy Spirit comes upon you," were 120 men and woman and one of them was Mary the LORD's mother. They ALL prophesied and spoke in different languages to proclaim the gospel. If any man or woman says that men and woman cannot do this is sadly misled and mistaken.
But today's so called (speaking in tongues is just a circus and raises the hair on on'e body). I have also personally experienced and witnessed this. Whenever I hear it or unknowingly stumble upon it, The real Holy Spirit says pray against the evil presence. It happened in my church just a month ago 2 wolves checking out the church sitting right behind me started that stupid gibberish, repeating the same syllables over and over and very strongly I was lead to rebuke it. That's the Holy Spirit I know!

Justin gets it wrong on several points about Pentecostals too in this video. I’ve never heard of these people from the past, and certainly never heard them being revered as fathers of the Pentecostal faith and I’ve been Pentecostal all my life. Some of the more modern people I’ve heard of but they were never people whose teaching we followed or who’s doctrine was part of our church doctrine. A lot of what he says is used for sensationalism to help Calvinists feel justified in their belief system.

Tongues stopped being given about 66 AD. If God no longer gives them, and He doesn't, who is giving you your tongues? Read The Charismatic Chaos by John MacArthur. A truly enlightened study on today's false tongues.

About 8 to 10 years ago, I was watching every preacher from every denomination, and I attended a pentecostal church, 2 of them to be exact. I always wondered why I couldn't speak in tongues, and I was searching for more faith maybe. I was actually told by someone that all saved people spoke in tongues. I ended up watching you, Todd Friel, and Walter Martin and realized the error of my ways. Thank you.

I’m sorry someone misrepresented the fullness of God to you, and that’s totally wrong. You can be saved and not speak in tongues. Way too many examples in the Bible. But fellow believer in Christ, don’t walk away from what the Bible actually teaches because of your bad experience. The gifts are still in operation today, and God still moves the same way as He did back then.
