    Also might want to check out bully liner and or raptor liner for tray, door sills and underneath

    • @BarnesysBuilds
      @BarnesysBuilds  5 лет назад

      Cheers mate, bully liner looks good, yeah done the research on raptor liner and was resolved to using that on tray. Was going to KBS underside as it seals rust in as well as is very a durable flexible polyurethane. Will see, bully liner could be another option

    Hey mate been following you since the beginning and rebuilding a troopie that I suspect was either drowned or on a salt mine, pretty much for all same equipment as you it's crazy as my research came to same conclusion as were both on the same employment field I think, anyway having to rebuild inner guards, all doors, custom third door and surrounding frame, door sills and front panels pretty much had to take back to bare metal and also reweld in huge sections. All being said I reckon you need to revisit the sand blaster , you've got exactly same as me (sand blasting drum kit, and genetech compressor) I added in a cheap compressor in series to give bit more grunt and changed sand blaster handpiece to a irrigation tap style with ceramic tip, cpl cheap tarps hung up and one on floor and reused the same three bags of garnet, just the difference of stripping back panels, hinges etc and stuff was so much better with the blaster over either the blue or sand paper disks, then I hit bad panels with killrust eeter then primer and either weld in new steel or fibreglass under series of holes.such as tops of doors

    • @BarnesysBuilds
      @BarnesysBuilds  5 лет назад +1

      Cheers mate, yeah there are definitely well beaten tracks that lead to the same conclusion s with this work. As you know you watch a series of videos or read articles on one subject and then based on averages you can filter the bad techniques and go with the good. I agree with the said blasting, I have bought some garnet and will be doing the tarp setup for the hinges etc cheers mate!

      @@BarnesysBuilds other trick I figured out after keeping on scratching up the visor after 20-30 mins was to wrap the good one in glad wrap and lasts good 30 mins then replace saving the hard plastic scratching, but once it goes then I bought a pack of 10 tablet screen protectors and cut to shape and get like 3 uses per sheet, leave in plastic sleeve for first layer then take out, then leave the peel off covers on for another 2 layers :)

    Hey Barnesey, loving your videos, Im doing an LJ but obviously it's all relevant. Just wondering if you have a video where you talk through the steps of cutting out sections. I see in the time lapse portions of your videos there's a few methods that you combine. I'd be interested to hear you talk through them.
    Cheers

    Did you come over to WA to appear at an off road show or something? I just remember something mentioned not too long ago about Barnesy builds for a show over here?
    Keep up the great work and love watching these Videos.
