  • An explanation of parts and assembly in detail of the many different modes the xTool RA2 laser rotary accessory has.
    I already have a xTool D1 laser in use and adding a second dedicated to use with the RA2 rotary.
    This video covers only the assembly and explanation of the RA2 along with a brief look at the new xTool D1 after assembly as I get it prepped and tested. More videos showing the many modes in use to come soon!

    What type of connector is for the stepper motor? Does it come with alternative connectors? 3 pin, 4 pin?

    I noticed a slight start and stop in the video when you were installing the sprocket @ 13:58. Did you have problems with the sprocket sliding on the shaft? Mine will not go on the shaft and yes, I have double checked to make sure the set screws are not interfering. Any ideas before I contact customer service?

      I edited out the portion where I dropped one of the set screws because I had backed it out too far and had to find it amongst the sawdust on the floor.............. Otherwise, I had no problem sliding it on.

      I am having the same problem. I took both set screws completely out and still having trouble. Did you ever figure out what the issue was?

    you never attached the rotary to the xtool. Why doesn't anyone show this?

      That is a whole different video subject matter (I am guilty of not making one yet) as is dependent on not only the laser model, but the software being used, and how to set it up in that software. I do intend on making some videos on this sometime this winter.

    Great video, but a few times your parts were out of camera view, makes it confusing for beginners like me.

    Can I leave the sprocket on or best to remove it?

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  2 года назад

      I left it on. It is not in the way, and is one less part to keep track of!

      www.thingiverse.com/thing:5098673 is a "base file" and runs in Laserbox. Mine has a few modifications dedicated to projects that I do for quick layout. The mods were done in Lightburn.
