Restriction enzymes are a specific class of endonucleases, which can recognise a specific base sequence of 4 to 6 nucleotides long and make a cut at that site only, the restriction site. And those sequence is called recognition sequence.
This video describes the types of restriction endonucleases along with there types, mechanism of action and nomenclature.
Thank you ma'am for explaining the Concept in a very nice way ❤ 👌
Keep supporting
In this video, there is a small mistake at 7:26, the term "species" has been mistakenly said as "genus".
So it will be - "co" comes from the "species" name "coli".
Nice explanation, now my concept is clear, thank you so much.....
Just awesome 💕💕💕
Thanks
Video is great but I swear NCERT could be quite a bit clearer about this.
Nice work btw
Thanks a lot
Nice explanation mam
Do you have a good scientific source that describes all of this? Also good work👍🏼
Describes what? Restriction Endonucleases?
Mam what were the references used for this topic ??
♥️
Type 11 restriction enzymes composed of only one subunit
The orthodox type II enzymes are homodimers which recognize palindromic sites.
