That was my take - the chances of having that concentration of commemoratives in one bag (at least 4 or 5 bags solely of high value commemorative coins) is immense.

I recently came across a mass collection similar to yours..only 5 coins out of the £250 were not commemorative coins.bulk of it was 172 benjamin bunny 84 peter rabbit 2017.also 29 Olympic coins (22) diffrent. Most of the rare 50p in circulation in great numbers and last not least lucky to find my first ever Kew Gardens. I live 10min from the Royal Mint so someday soon im hoping to meet you..

Still can't get a Brexit or new king Charles coin. Also looking for the bumble bee coin and a random lady mentioned one with a swan?

Blimey! Just checking my wifes 50p coin collection and she has a very good condition 2023 salmon! We have no idea on value as she just collects the coins she gets in chip shop and Tesco change. Not sure on the value! I've just clicked subscribe and Discord as we would have had no idea on rarity of the coins and it is the least I can do. Also just went back to check and no privy mark 🙂

Sadly I suspect that a collector has passed on and their relatives had no idea and just paid them all into the bank
I wonder if they also collected two quid coins?
Or the wife said 'You're just wasting you time' and put them in the bank when he was down the pub!
