Good to hear you are wheezing less on this video. Must mention that the term is guy rope not guide.
Hi Bob, many thanks for the comment. Thanks for the correction 😆, much appreciated. Wheezing - too many cigarettes. I need to cut down really, I really do.
@@bankruptpensioner Tough to cut down, quitting even harder but worth it. Guide rope is actually not far off as guy derives from the French word “guie,” meaning guide in use about 900 years ago. The Dutch, in the 1600's, began the use of “guy” that we are more familiar with today. Useless fact of the day, you’re welcome!
@@bobroberts6155 no useless facts - sharing of knowledge is wonderful 😄
Have seen many other bad reviews of this tent where it fails in high winds and lets water in .. suggest look a t a few tests before buying
Hi Nigel, thanks for the comment. I just have not had time to test this tent. OK.....here is the plan. I will wait for rain (won't be too long as I live in the UK), I will erect the tent in the garden, and leave for a couple of days. I will then report back on my findings. I understand what you say but there are reports of tents that do not leak. Let me have a play. :)
What a great little tent. Looks so easy to use and transport. Do they do bigger tents? Enjoy your trip.
Hi Debs, many thanks for the comment and great to hear from you. I don't think they do any bigger tents at the moment but do keep your eyes out on their website.
I have Triumph Tiger sport 660
Excellent bike Susan, that said, all Triumph's are excellent 😄
Have you had a chance to test it in the rain since this review? Ive seen another review where the guy tested the tent and it leaked in the rain. He returned it and they sent him a replacement tent. That one leaked too! So now I’m skeptical. I personally think this tent could use a full waterproof fly! Not the little thing it has on the top!
Let us know your opinion about the waterproof quality of this tent.
No in the rain as yet, but I did test it in sodden soil (and it was like a mud pit). And, all the water was kept back from the ground. No puddles in the morning. Therefore, the ground sheet seems very capable of keeping the moisture out. I should get the hose out and test it that way maybe now the summer is on its way.
Good one
Hi Eduardo, many thanks for the comment and happy to help in your choice of next tent :)
Where did you get this tent from
Hi Susan, you can get it from amazon. Here is the link:

Thanks, Richard.
Why do video makers call guy ropes, guide ropes? Drives me nuts.
My God, you are right. I always thought it was guide (which sounds appropriate/logical) but you are right. It is Guy. Thanks for the education - I didn't know that. Learn something new everyday :)
Way way more than 3 seconds, probably more ghan 5 minutes
Wow! 5 minutes!
I got this tent...It is the worst tent ever !! Sorry
Hi Micha, I tested this tent for the first time last month in 4c. It was OK, no the best mountain tent but was OK for a one night stop over. The ground was very wet and the ground sheet kept the water away. Seemed a reasonable tent.
@@bankruptpensioner OK..my was damaged at the first use...
Have a good week an joy
