@@AnnabelNightwishbro I'm a former homeschooler and yes that stereotype does hold true sometimes but not quite as often as you think. I think it's more when the kids are isolated and not around others that they're like this. I had friends from schools and other homeschool friends, and I'd say I'm not that dorky. And if I'm a bad example, I can think of many others who aren't
@Alixir1228 so... I said "most homeschoolers would agree with me", which judging by your commentary, I could bet you're a part of the minority that don't in fact agree. That's okay. You're within you're right to do so. That's what's great about freedom of speech; we don't have to agree with one another. You're not speaking for a majority, or even a great number of people, you are speaking for yourself, on behalf of of yourself, and I'm happy you feel brave enough to do that, but it's not gonna change anything. I said what I said and stand by it. There's a lot of kids who came out alright as a result of being educated at home, but there is a substantial few who are mimicking only what they've seen on TV because they've had literally no contact with the outside world other than strict supervision from the parents. It's tragic, but it'll become normalized with the wave of newcomer homeschool parents that are coming down the pipeline. The next couple decades will be interesting. And btw, if a comment on the internet is sincerely distressing for you, I'd say it's probably best that you take it as a sign that you're probably done with the internet for the safety and well-being of your feelings. Or, you can say something equally upsetting back to me if it makes you feel better, as a treat.
@@Carebearritual RUclips has deleted my comment explaining myself even if I didn’t share a link. I was NOT talking about the other and older Mary Roach. Mary Roach who “auditioned” was indeed an aspiring actress/comedian in the past. She was interviewed on the blog Idle Idols but the website is no longer online. People can find it on the internet database. Also check the full audition right before she leaves she sings another song and is trying hard not to laugh. There’s your other proof. Also I just found the pictures of Mark McGrath and her on Extra on Getty Images. I just wish I could find a clip of that moment.
fr, i wanna live in the universe where she has a proper mentor😂 I loved her energy, and like you said her voice wasn't even bad, she was just making some odd choices
I remember kids talking about how they found out she was actually part of a comedy group, and this was for a bit or something. Idk if it’s true, but I remember hearing that. I suspect that they stopped airing the auditions for that exact reason - to stop people from coming in as a joke
She was trying to kick start her comedic career by going on the show and she thought she'd be received like William Hung but instead she got mocked and bullied into disappearing. She can also sing. And the show definitely didn't care if people were coming in being fake just like Dr Phil doesn't care lol It's like reality tv and the crazier the better which meant more people tuning in.
@@skinsey85where have you seen that she can actually sing? Def not from her audition and I haven’t seen anything when I try to look her up online. She’s so bad in her audition that I’d love to see her actually sing if this was a comedy thing

She’s honestly not as terrible as she’s made out to be. I truly believe with just a handful of formal vocal lessons she really could reach that 8/10 she thinks she’s at
I used to crash auditions like this and put on personas just to make the auditioners squirm. My favorite was a lyrical dance to “My heart Will Go On” I should start doing that again, it was so fucking funny
For anyone curious, she went on to get her cosmetology license and works as a hairdresser. Unfortunately, she never changed her last name to "Gilbeaux". Yet.

Shes oblivious while also completely self aware. Fascinating
She's a comedian. How self aware do you have to be before you stop judging other people based on Internet clips? 😉
I give her an ate/10

I see what you did there ❤️ 😅

Are you sure?
I know that’s right!!!

Aww me too ❤
Right I had no idea who she was until I heard the singing start and I was like ohhh I remember this one 😂
Same haha. And she got really mean!

Honestly she was just ahead of her time
I agree. If she auditioned today she'd get through. Very unique voice that simply needs some direction. Hope she didn't give up after this ❤

To be honest she just sounds like Grimes
