This is "BAT" short from Russia language. I'm specialist from this equipment. Poland military school 1978, city name Ostruda. This is old "BAT"; new from 1976-78 was full hydraulic system.
Just because it has tracks instead of wheels, does not make it a tank, just a truck with tracks, they also come in a "Half Track" version, my grand father drove one in WWII.
As the description says, a T54 tank based badass bulldozer . Tank chassis comes with a tank engine, 35 litre V12 (thats about 2135 cubic inches : ) Your grandpa`s halftrack was a toy compared to this beast , no disrespect of course.
Is it me, or is the cab mounted on what would be the rear of the T-54? so its driving backwards? pretty sure the drive sprocket is on the rear of the T-54.
This sapper buldozer is based on Russian ATT - stands for Artillery Heavy Tractor. It was designed in 1950-s and nothing to do with any of tanks. It's very old and obsolete.
Thirty-five LITER engine...Jesus Christ. Most engine size I've ever worked on was a 23-liter. Looks like it uses the T-55 running gear...that's a problem for reliability though (T-55 tank tracks tend to last around 250-300 kilometers. Your tracks will shred before you run out of fuel lol).
i have one of that its 38 liter engine with 2 versions one 380 hp two 520hp the cab is not from ural because the doors from zil are good istead the fabric doors
Not tank based (using the artillery tractor AT-T chassis with 'front engine' and 'front wheel drive'). And not having a dodgy starter motor (there's no starter motor at all, the thing is using pressurized air to start - soviet stuff had to work in a 40-degrees-plus environment as well as at the arctic cycle and was therefore rather rugged...)
@NimmdenNamen- It's okay, your English is pretty good, actually. The spelling is mostly correct, and your vocabulary looks good. Only a few things wrong. "THIS tank" = 1 tank, and "THESE tankS" = More than 1 tank. Remember, it's "1 tank" and "2 tankS". Always add an 's' to the end of the word if there's more than 1 thing. Like you should say you're "15 yearS old", with an 's', since you have more than 1 year. Also, it's "my", not "mi", and you should say "I am 15", not "me 15".
PS-sorry if I'm annoying, I was just trying to help out. You speak English better than I speak Russian or French. If you need any help, you can always ask. I have nothing much else to do, and I like to help out. (Ive thought of being a teacher someday, but I don't know if I'd like it as a JOB)

I Like this :)
i like that 1/4 truck and 3/4 tank
The engine is a Kharkov V-55 of 38.88L and 520hp. I wonder if there were any tractors with that engine.

i would buy it for snowplowing in the winter
its prolly the cab of the truck but mostly tank and the spade of a dozer
Just because it has tracks instead of wheels, does not make it a tank, just a truck with tracks, they also come in a "Half Track" version, my grand father drove one in WWII.
The chassis for this vehicle is shared with a Russian tank.
As the description says, a T54 tank based badass bulldozer . Tank chassis comes with a tank engine, 35 litre V12 (thats about 2135 cubic inches : ) Your grandpa`s halftrack was a toy compared to this beast , no disrespect of course.
Elvis Mihhailov A Cat bulldozer also has a 35 litre V12 but THEY HAVE NEVER MADE A TANK
It's a chassis first used on a tank. It has tracks and an engine that is used on a tank. They removed the hull and turret and placed a Ural truck cab.
Awesome... I want one!
The blade wasn't for mine clearance. It was to remove rubble, debris and roadblocks during an advance.
This guy just took "Fuck traffic" to a whole new level.
Is it me, or is the cab mounted on what would be the rear of the T-54? so its driving backwards? pretty sure the drive sprocket is on the rear of the T-54.
I want that as my car.
Beltring 2007, ich war dabei...
dude wher are ya working ? in Isriel or what ?
This sapper buldozer is based on Russian ATT - stands for Artillery Heavy Tractor. It was designed in 1950-s and nothing to do with any of tanks. It's very old and obsolete.
Thats a nice piece. the russians have some hell-a-fied vehicles, including the hind.
Does it shoot?
At last some useful purpose has been found for the T-54..
I think it might actually be a T-62 chassis because of the space between the road wheels.
This is an russian BAT-M .actually build as a "Artillery chain tractor" 415 HP 25t
Now that I think about it, this thing looks REALLY post-apocalyptic.
Then they must had put a different engine in there, because that's what a T-54 tank has.
in holland we say ''fricandel''
It better come with standard Cup holders for my Vodka and Pepsi.
cris ferrer An optional chilled dispenser is available for that purpose.
@ddspice777 Isn't that the only way to live life? 1/4 mile at a time?
Did he stall it? (0:28)
I want the same spoiler on my car!
BAT M- Monster ❤
Looks as obsolete as all get out, but kind of cool at the same time.
it's based on a T-54 not on a T-34. The name of this vehicle is BAT-M.
I remember that bull dozer from the Chernobyl vehicle graveyard.
I like it
Uhh...yup, I'd say that is a safe assumption...
Thirty-five LITER engine...Jesus Christ. Most engine size I've ever worked on was a 23-liter.

Maybe the Allied forces in aphganistan should run one of these ahead of every foot and vehicle patrol as a minesweeper
I got one of these on a Ebay Auction =) Ebay Auto Folks =P
Poland, Darlowo West Pomerania ?? :D
i have one of that its 38 liter engine with 2 versions one 380 hp two 520hp the cab is not from ural because the doors from zil are good istead the fabric doors
darthfroggy has right it's BAT-M and he has chassis of T-54 and T-55 family
Not tank based (using the artillery tractor AT-T chassis with 'front engine' and 'front wheel drive'). And not having a dodgy starter motor (there's no starter motor at all, the thing is using pressurized air to start - soviet stuff had to work in a 40-degrees-plus environment as well as at the arctic cycle and was therefore rather rugged...)
I think that blade is for mineclearing... clearing a path through a sespected or known minefield (IMHO)
