Digimon my favourite season as a kid, being able to transform into a Digimon was so epic
One thing to say is that the humans did have Digimon partners. It's just they were already dead and they need a body to physically manifest.

It's a playlist of all Digimon evolutions but with more context, and hence longer.
Technically, those were their "partners" so to say, as one: in the digiworld , their bodies were data , and two, the souls of these warriors would take over their body.
Fun fact, supposedly i think everyone was supposed to have a double-spirit? But it never happen, rip.
Edit: i gotta admit i wouldve liked someone gave him the video with bits of the episodes too, for a bit more context, specially for later stages.
Digimon season 1 was the first anime I ever started watching.
In digimon frontier their was once an evil digimon who almost destroyed the digital world. Ten legendary warriors fought together to defeat it. In the show kids where given devices that could contain idols that held their spirits and powers. Six where used by the kids while four were used by villains. Each spirit had an evolution or beast form. The main two gained the power to merge both forms together to get stronger. From their by each of them using five spirits could turn into their mega form. Finally by both megas combining they could become the ultimate warrior and yes they are two in one.
Also in the final episode all 5 fused to make a the same final form as a nod to Super Sentai/Power Rangers

I actually like Frontier season very much. The storyline and lore is actually very interesting. The human/beast digimon segregation, the 10 legendary spirits, the holy angels relation. The story is compartmentalize into arcs that are easy to follow and neatly wrapped up if I remember correctly. Their evolution is a very fresh take so that tbh we won't get bored with the repetitive evolution when we entered the next season, Savers that even use a new Agumon.
Double Spirit is the combination of Human & Beast Spirit evolution. Hyper spirit is when they transfered their digimon spirits to the main two equally (sick evo sequence & song tho my fav). Ancient spirit is basically the culmination of all 10 spirits (both human&beast) into one. Can be two souls/humans, can be 5 souls 😆
Not to mention bangers evolution songs, cool designs (it's a shame they didn't give them all double spirit evo). All in all, Frontier was a great experience. It's different from the 1st season in which we have a physical partner. But in this season, they're basically travelling the Digital World by themselves. Which if you think about it, very exciting. Would recommend if you even want to watch it. 👍

seriously, can we not start this freaking debate again? People can use Evolution or Digivolution if they want as long as we understand what they say (And that debate was moot the moment Bandai Japan officially used the English terms, Watch Any of the official Vital Bracelets ads, the Digimon are listed with the English Terms. Even the CSA D-Ark/D-Power used the English Level Terms instead of the original ones. So Bandai Japan see them as much official as the original terms and it's time the ''Fans'' Stop acting salty anytime use the english terms instead of the japanese ones. As long as we all love Digimon, that's what matters
