@@MasterofVoice she's had a tough time recently with some heart issues that has affected her breathing at times but she manages to still put on a kick-ass performance and you wouldn't notice the difference unless you were really focusing on the breath specifically. But I think she's getting it under control a bit more now. There was an incident during the competition where she had to go to hospital for a bit I believe! It's terrifying when your health gets in the way of your dreams.

The Chinese/Singer audience is wonderful. They judge the contestants so I’m wondering if many of them have music backgrounds. But they are so excited and you can see how much they love these terrific performers. Jessie J is absolutely out of this world - I wish we would see more of her in the US. What a phenomenal performer. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 super star 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

After this you should probably see KZ Tandingan's performances on the same competition, starting with her great cover of "Rolling In The Deep", and also the short backstage video of when KZ met Jessie J. Hua Chenyu has a number of good performances on Singer 2018, starting with "Nunchucks". There is a useful channel called Hua Chenyu Eng. subs for his performances. Another unique performance from the same year is "Heaven" by Mongolian singer Tengri.

As good as this is... it gets MUCH better. You'll leave reviewing the season being a FAR bigger fan of her, I promise. She's honestly one of the best live performers on the planet and in this series she shows it off spectacularly.

thank you so very much for yr heartfelt reactions to so many of my favorite singers--dimash, sohyang, jessie (the queen) j, & katrina velarde, for starters! (if only we could get that group together for a performance...i think the world literally wouldn't be able to even handle that level of beauty, but i digress, haha).
i would love to respectfully suggest a little something for yr consideration to react to... it's criminal that this performance of jessie's, which is a piano duet with the famous classical pianist, lang lang, accompanying her
singing purple rain...& it is just otherwordly.
i love this eclectic take on such a classic song, & jessie is one of the few people who can actually pull off singing such a song gracefully, & with great respect.
i also still highly recommend her performance of the same song as performed on the singer... both versions are stunning for different reasons.

Different seasons. Sandy Lam won in 2017. Jessie J in 2018.
