Great review. Bought a Metabo about 8 months ago. We used it to panel the inside of my son's cabin with 5/4 boards that were on their way to be pressure treated when the truck wrecked. Go them for a $2 a board. They were all perfect.
When you have a tool for 33 years, it makes sense to give its replacement a try. Seems to be at least on par if not better. Lighter, holds more and the air diverter is great. I wish my drills had that feature.
Nice finish nailers Randy, thanks for the review of the new nailer it has some nice features like the 2-1/2" nails. I have that exact same model "Senco" nailer which I purchase in 1986. Rebuilt it once about 10 years ago. I think you can change the discharge by removing the 4 screws and rotating the cap.
Interesting how similar the designs are between manufactures, I have an old Bostich N60 almost a look-a-like. It's having issues with the safety interlock, need to make the same decision repair/replace. Thanks for the review Randy!
Is there any tips for repairs? I have bought 2 metabos and they delay when firing. Brand new. The gun hisses and then fires the nail proud even after it adjusting it to the deepesr setting.
I’ve have a few Senco guns that have been going for years. Funny story, I was on a job and another guy working on the job was having trouble with a Senco pin nailer and threw it in the trash can on the job, cursing at the nail gun! I pulled that gun out of the trash and have been using it for 20 years now. Never had a problem with it! Ha 😃 Thanks for the review Randy! I sure do like the metabo tools! 👍🏼
Most problems with air nail guns boils down to "O" rings. I have the same gun and have used it extensively. I have also use the Hitachi guns. I ran the millwork project at the MGM Grand (5000) rooms ad never at any time did the Hitachi gun malfunction or fail.
I don't have a nail gun like that. I have a framing gun and a brad nailer. What can that do that the brad nailer can't? I like Metabo tools. Although we have to pay $50 shipping on that. Thanks Randy.
This gun shoots a 15 gauge finish nail with a finish nail head and up to 2-1/2", About twice as heavy as a brad and much more holding power. Thanks Randy
Been rockin the Hitachi/Metabo HPT nailers for over 25+ yrs
Many are still shooting
Good guns they are working great. Thanks for watching, Merry Christmas.

Nice. Thanks Vernon. Did the wood get wrecked also, I hope not.

Thanks Eric. Maybe I thought the pattern was not symmetrical. I will have to check.
That has a couple nice features with the air blast and exhaust diverter.
Nice gun and works well. I like the air blaster.

Thanks Dean. Even though I did repair my old gun, the new one has some nice new additional features.

Never repaired one of these. but It sounds like a mis adjustment with the trigger valve. Thanks.

That's what I thought. Thanks
Just a heads-up: it's HPT - Hitachi Power Tools (not HTP).
Yes, Thank you.
Have used puematic nailers for years, switching to battery now that they have achieved parity. No compressor/hose. Just grab and go.
Thanks theedge7. Maybe my next one.
Is that actually a muffler on the back? Is it quieter?
Both have mufflers but they both are not quiet. About the same. Thanks Brian.
Hi Randy - does it use the same nails as your SFN1 ? Thanks
Yes it does. Thanks
@@RRINTHESHOP Thanks, that's good to know. I have a SFN2B gun I bought in the 80s, when it dies I'll go with the Metabo :)
So shiny
Works great, you need one. Thanks Yuchol.
