  • Welcome to an exclusive Rimac C_Two (now called Nevera) EV Hypercar detailed review - on both road and track. 1914hp, 1.4 megawatts, 258mph, 340 mile range WLTP, 0-100mph in 4.3 seconds and an 8 second quarter mile capability in comfort. Jonny Smith travelled to Croatia to experience a car he has eagerly followed the journey of for the last 10 years. Why? Because machines of this ambitious scale, with this level of tech, speed and capability seldom appear in our world.
If you want to just see Jonny's full acceleration runs over the quarter mile, then please watch the shorter video.

Having followed the Rimac story here and there over the years, this is the only million-zillion hyperwank EV that interests me.
His story really is extraordinary and I can hardly fathom what it's like to drive. But the adjustability of that torque vectoring, with four totally independent wheels, is what really fascinates me about the Concept_One and Nevera, in terms of its potential and how infinitesimally tunable the car's balance must be.

Bridge shot is probably supplied by Rimac. It is the bridge from the island of Pag, just north of Zadar, Croatia. Many manufactures are presenting cars on the roads of that island and that bridge. I remember Mercedes A class and Porsche. There is also Grand tour with Jeremy Clarkson, I think series 2 not sure which epizode shoot in Zadar and in the vicinity and on that bridge and island. Actual car presentation is from the airport near Zadar. The barren moon like road is the road leading to ferry Prizna-Zigljen from Pag to the mainland under the mountain called Velebit. You can see it all on the Google and visit if you can and drive the roads.

In other words:it is not unique and I think that might be a bit of a problem for a hyper-car like this. Might be a technological marvel - but is certainly not a design “classic” to be. They're not a hypercar manufacturer first, they're a tech company and high-end EV industry supplier that uses hypercars to promote their in-house technology (as seen in Porsche EVs, Koenigsegg and Aston Martin hybrids, etc.). They want car manufacturers to ask them to put features seen here into their higher-volume production models in some form.

    Hi Jonny,
I was watching this video whilst exercising at the gym, but it is such a quality presentation and outstanding car that I stopped and waited till I got home to watch on the big screen. A massive thanks for persevering with your obsession and bringing us a relatable perspective. I hope you think about offering up a longer version for us diehards with your vids, I think you have a whole lot more to give us. Sure keep the short fast vids for turnover, but there are some who will watch you turn every knob or press every button.

Perspective: this car took 4 years in developing..Yet it’s still Relative today with those numbers, technology, and design, which shows how far Rimac and Tesla are ahead in the electric game, dobro napravljeno Rimac 🇭🇷

Thanks Johnny, awesome video. I've fallen quite hard for Rimac Automobilli, and Mate Rimac. I must add too, you and Mate seem to get along famously, you two really seem like old friends, both so passionate. Bloody excellent 👏

There’s the painful irony in that the music here is sampled from the warning sound for ”lights on” from a 1981 Mazda 929

This has been so special. You have to love Rimac, what and how they do it. Jonny, congratulations for the great production, I loved the music, it made the video even more special.

Awesome video Jonny! Those little extra bits like adding the music over the drift scene and the extra camera work in other scenes really make the production level so much higher! Worth getting stuck in the airport for 😅
