It seemed a little odd that the momma goat wasn't looking or calling out for her baby. She must sense that it is gone or maybe she does have it hidden somewhere. I hope you find it. Praying for a positive outcome. There was a tan color goat with the chickens outside of the gate
I tried to find it, but couldn't until another commenter mentioned that the outside the fence goat is at 15:31. I thought the same thing about the mom-goat not calling out for the baby. Another commenter wondered why Mojo seemed so fixated on the area by the storm shelter.
As a child I’d visit an aunt in Albany Ga. I’d sit outside with her house keeper & snap beans. Due to her I started eating them raw. Fantastic. Love vegetables to this day. Feel bad that a baby got snatched.
Hope the baby turns up. Sorry you lost the baby duck. All the other animals look like they're doing good. Glad the Expo was a success. GOD bless Y'all.
An FYI--at the time of birth--the weight of an average kid is between five to eight pounds. The adult eagles weight varies by region but on average, a female bald eagle weighs 10 lbs & males 8 lbs. Bald eagles can only carry 1/2 their weight so if, for example, the kid is only 5 lbs, then a 10 lb eagle could possible carry it but having followed bald eagles during their nesting season for many years, I have never seen a baby goat brought to the nest but rather much lighter prey such as squirrels & rabbits along with a few kittens as well, in addition to fish. Hope you find the baby goat but I highly doubt that a bald eagle could carry it--just too heavy.🐐
Ha, that's funny the goat was right outside the fence eating with the chickens and Mojo walked right by it. Hope you found it before you went to feed the other dogs.
I can't wait for next year's Expo my granmans are old enough now but I wanted to give them one more year before they go . I definitely don't want to carry around two tuckered out boys . Lol God Bless y'all and I hope the baby shows up . 💯❤🙏🇺🇸
Kevin, I hope you find the baby goat soon, sorry to hear about the loss of your baby duck. Your garden is looking really great, glad the expo went well. David, North Ogden, Utah. 🐐🐐🐐🇺🇸🇺🇸❤❤❤.
I really hope you find the baby goat. The mama wasn’t crying or calling for it, so maybe she knew where it was...?🤔🤷🏻♀️ Glad y’all enjoyed the Okie Homesteading Expo. Looks like it was a lot of fun. Stay safe and God bless 🙂
Oh dear! Praying that the baby goat is found! Praying for all the animals to be safe! I am looking forward to the 2024 Okie Homestead Expo! Could not fit it into the schedule this year! Thanks for the journey today❤
That is so sad about the baby duck, hope you find the baby goat😢 Glad the Expo went well you all work so hard on it. Your garden is beautiful take care ❤️🙏👍☀️
I am really praying that the momma goat just hid it real well! 🙏🙏🙏 Cherokee Purple is one of my favorite tomato varieties! Your going to love the flavor! I also really like the Black Krim. So much flavor! 💖💖💖
Greetings ya'll.. MOJO lags behind because. You tell him that you are gonna feed him. Then you feed everyone first, that leaves Him Last. He knows your pattern Smart Dog. 😁
Ugh it’s gut wrenching 😔 I hope the little kid is found! It’s been a while since I’ve left a comment but I always watch all your videos! One of my favorite parts is when your getting ready to feed and the chickens come ring up behind you.. chickens are so adorable when they waddle run 😂 Thanks for sharing ❤ God bless all your efforts 🙏
Jason over cog Hill farm had the same problem with the water with his geese. He took one of those Rubbermaid black Water trough and put a six-by-six section of cattle panel over it so they could only get their heads through it and water stays clean now
Your garden looks great. Hope that the baby is found in good condition. I absolutely HATE morning glories! Thank you for sharing your world with us. We love your family and farm too.
I feel the same way about spruce trees. The house next to my condo small end lot has them on the property line, and their roots extend throughout my yard and hapless "garden" borders, the spring something-coverings that they copiously shed are sticky and a nuisance brought in on shoes or stuck to dog's feet, and their needles are sharp like scalpels and any wind blows them all over my tiny yard, covering the planting areas, making walking barefoot (grounding or "earthing") sketchy and even the dog often jerks a leg up if running around.
Kevin i sure hope you find the baby goat😮. Glad the Expo was a success. Now hopefully y'all can get some much deserved rest !! GOD Bless Your Family & Farm 🙏🙏🌹 Love 🌻 from NC 💜
Mojo is all Great Pyrenees, I have had a few and they have a mind of their own when they want to have a mind of their own. I saw one guy using a Pyrenees as a seeing eye dog, he could probably right a book about this breed...lol. They are great dogs one of the first I had taught my son how to walk, my son would grab the ruff pull himself up dog wouldn't move till Mark would try to walk.
Good luck with finding the baby. Sad to hear of you losing the duckling. Very sad. Those baby turkeys are really cute. You’ve definitely had a baby boom this season. 😻🙏🏽
Kevin, I'm glad to hear that you all had another successful year with the Okie Homesteading Expo. I hope you are able to find the missing baby goat, and that it is just hidden exceptionally well. Solo has grown so much! When do you plan to release Solo out with the other ducks and animals?
Oh! I forgot to mention the garden! It looks so beautiful! I did want to share our experiences with tomatoes! We live in the desert … so this information may be according to geography… I am not sure. We have learned/ taught that you want tomato plants to have just enough foliage to shade the fruit. All other beautiful green leaves should be removed. By doing so, the water will be forced to supply the fruit with nutrients and not the leaves. This will bring the most delicious flavor to your tomatoes! Also the lower leaves that are close to the ground should be removed. Here in the West… we get bumper crops of tomatoes… clear into December! Many years we have picked tomatoes on Christmas Day. Maybe something you can research when you can’t sleep at night!!😉😉😉
Kevin I got 14 raised beds, plus we put in some 50 ft rows of corn n of potatoes, n sweet potatoes too, needless to say way more than I need by far, but I think I’m gonna feed 5 other families with that too, lol, fun fun❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Rachel brushes all the time.. he seems to really enjoy it..that may be why he follows her more than Kevin..Hopefully the baby goat will turn up.. I’m sorry about the duckling..
My Great Pyrenees acts EXACTLY like Mojo. I rescue-adopted him about 2 and a half years ago....Couple of questions for you- how do you get him in the car? And do you ever bathe him? Murphy HATES water, rain, etc.
You should try Veggie Delight For 2 people 1 Hillshire 16 oz sausage any flavor Spaghetti squash or spaghetti 2 yellow squash 2 zuchinni squash 1 can diced tomatoes with juice Medium onion Oregano Salt Grated Parmesan cheese Dice the zuchinni and yellow squash in large pieces Onion cut in half then make into thin slices Cook spaghetti squash or spaghetti Put a little olive oil in a large saute pan add all veggies and oregano and salt. Let saute til softer. Cut sausage into pieces. Then add to the veggie mix. Once warm then make plates. Spaghetti squash or spaghetti Veggies and sausage mix Sprinkle parmesan cheese on everything on your plate Enjoy
We recently lost the youngest son, Walter to kidney failure this past weekend. He knew it was terminal and was tired of the sickness, pain and struggles.
Mojo really didn’t want to leave that bush/mound when you were first trying to get him to follow you out. Check there for…carcass? Horrible, I know, but he seemed determined about that mound with the grass on top. Also-gotta start keeping a chart of who had babies and how many😂
Wow! I'm so jealous! I am in North central Texas and love yellow squash but no matter how hard I've tried I can't get any yellow squash due to the vine borers! The very first year I planted them several years ago I got a few squash but then the dang vine borers showed up and I've tried repeatedly to grow them but always am thwarted by them. I gave up but really happy they can grow somewhere!
In SE Louisiana also. I get one good meal from my plants and with in the next 24 hours or so they are all dead. I even broke down and when nothing else helped I tried 7 dust in the raised bed they were in even though it jeopardized the pollinators in that bed but I was too late to save them. I don’t know what else to do. For me it is both Zucchini and yellow squash. Love ❤️
Wow your garden looks beautiful! Sorry you couldn’t find the baby goat but you would think there would have been quite a ruckus ( noise) if it was taken hence forth your cameras on property would have a lot noise! Barking squealing etc.🤔any way thank you for sharing today😀
For the larger squash and zucchini - you can split them longways, scoop out the seeds, and fill with creamed corn, chopped peppers, a little diced onion, and bake or grill. We call them stuffed squash boats and the family loves them. Agree on the tomatoes doing better with more space - but you can also thin some of the non-fruiting branches to increase airflow between them. Cherokee Purple is one of my all-time favorites, but I never got plants to produce as many tomatoes as other varieties. I hope the baby goat turns up, though!
I'm sorry about the Goat. I'm so afraid of a barn owl hanging around the town. I pray my dog's and cats are ok. Oh, by the way... Mojo does not like the way you talk for him. He has a regal voice!!😅
Hope the little baby goat turns up & very sorry you lost a duckling😔 Solo has grown so much, he’s very handsome. Congrats on another successful Okie Homestead. Take care & cheers🥰
I grew a bunch of hot peppers jalapeños,cayenne and habanero. They all seem them come on at once.I also bought a bunch of hot peppers at a roadside stand.I cut them up and dehydrated them. When they were dry I ground them up.That way I have a hot pepper spice all winter long.
Trying to catch up. I've been slacking, & took off a few days. So im back. I broke my foot.😢 well the baby ducks & turkeys are cute! Hope tje one turkey comes back inside the fence its self. Looks like mama gave up 😢 🙏❤️🤔 you find the baby or it wanders back. Take care!🙏🙏✌️🤗😉 God Bless
Kevin, I hope you all find the "lost" baby goat! I'm still around, will soon be 78 years old. I keep getting a little slower, but that's just a part of aging!
Hi there. Frost seems to roll in across the ground so hanging sacking around the fence should keep the winter conditions away for a little while long, depending on the winter temperatures you experience of course. God bless.
If mojo was in the area that he is supposed to be protecting, then you would have heard some major sounds coming from him if an eagle came down and try to take a baby goat. There would have been Mayham of some type of barking. Maybe you should keep him in there more often instead of on your back porch most of the time where he can’t protect any of them. 🤷🏼♀️
Why do I always crack up laughing when you do the MOJO voice? 🤣🤣🤣
Lol, Mojo's sure got a mind of his own😂, hese a lovely big handsome dog.
Hey Kevin, I went back and watched the video again, and @ 15:33, there is a tan baby goat outside the gate eating with the chickens. 😮
Please keep us updated on the missing baby goat and can we please get an update on Daryl 😢😢😢
Love all those Peppers !!! and Tomatoes and Squash~~~~ !! Love All of those veggies !!

Praying that you guys can find the baby goat alive and well
I love Mojo, the most beautiful Great Pyrenees ever!

Very astute of you to catch that interesting theory
That mound is the storm cellar.
Elib, Kevin has said previously, they do keep a list. But without it in his hand, he doesn't remember. Neither would I.

I can tell you how my Daddy protected ours we wrapped the base of the vines with aluminum foil. He would make long strips and spiral wrap them.
Wow your garden looks beautiful! Sorry you couldn’t find the baby goat but you would think there would have been quite a ruckus ( noise) if it was taken hence forth your cameras on property would have a lot noise! Barking squealing etc.🤔any way thank you for sharing today😀
Your vegetable garden looks good and I hope you find it, could let Henry feed from her
The mum wouldn’t let Henry feed from her, he has the wrong smell

Good luck finding the goat. Thanks. Chris from England

I'm sorry about the Goat. I'm so afraid of a barn owl hanging around the town. I pray my dog's and cats are ok. Oh, by the way... Mojo does not like the way you talk for him. He has a regal voice!!😅
My sister's husband grew habenaro plants last year and did quite well. Made his own salsa and hot sauce with his crop.
I hope the baby goat is found soon! 🙏 Any word of Cora's puppies? False pregnancies can be very difficult on dogs.
Hope the little baby goat turns up & very sorry you lost a duckling😔 Solo has grown so much, he’s very handsome. Congrats on another successful Okie Homestead. Take care & cheers🥰
Mojo follows his own schedule of marking his territory, etc.. It’s so funny how he ignores you.
Glad you enjoyed the Okie Homestead Expo. Sorry about the kid.
I'm so sorry you can't found the baby kid, enjoyed watching
Mojo has one speed until he has to work
I hope you find the baby goat ❤

Poor Mojo, he is just hot
Can you look under a brush pile that may be on the property in that area. Perhaps baby goat is there.
The tiny baby was there when you first started to feed the goats and almost got trampled. I don’t know where he went after that xx
Hi there. Frost seems to roll in across the ground so hanging sacking around the fence should keep the winter conditions away for a little while long, depending on the winter temperatures you experience of course. God bless.
It seems weird that an eagle would take a baby goat when there are chickens all over the place. Very sad.
Man...Skeeter all up in everyones business 😂

MOJO and hurry in the same sentence just makes me laugh.
Hope you've found the baby. Have a bless day.
By the way, New Subscriber!! It's CHRISTIAN KID.
