The point Gloria was making is that a female dog can get pregnant by multiple dogs at the same time, if she was mated by leeski on Monday, a coyote on Tuesday, and a wolf on Wednesday, when the puppies are born, (let’s say she has 9) 3 can be leeski’s, 4 can be fathered by the coyote and 2 can be fathered by the wolf. And yes, a coyote and wolf are members of the wild dog family. They don’t discriminate.
I bred dogs for many years, I learned that there is very little you can do to keep the female locked up from the males. Glad Kora is home, the way to keep her home is to Spay her, healthier for her, and the planet
I use an AirTag on my Giant Schnauzer. It works great! If someone finds your dog they can hold their phone to the tag and you will be notified. The plus you can locate her on your app.
Kevin when a dog comes into heat, they come in for a week, stay in heat for a week and goes out for a week, hopefully leeski is the only male that bred her,a female can be bred by numerous males and have pups from up to 3 to 5 of the males that bred her.
Hey guys we are ranchers & farmers too we love you guys Reality is maybe Cora just needs to get fixed. That will settle her down. If she has gotten pregnant bits very early & won't cause any health problems. We all have to face reality & be responsible for owners Then bet she will stay at home more. If you want puppies you have Linsky still. Some may think this is terrible. We as country folks have to educate others about real farm life God bless you all. We are behind you always McKinney Family Arizona ❤
So Glad Kora is back. Wondering if you could put big rocks or cement under the fence. A chain with a Lanyard type clip to prevent gate from being lifted up? Prayer yes a big help. Always pray. Have a blessed day. And Enjoy your day! 🌞
I have seen some families put linoleum on their chichen coop floors. That way makes it easier to clean and the wood floor isn't subject to chicken droppings.
First I just want to say I have enjoyed watching your videos and this is my first comment. Second, If you aren't planning to breed Kora again and want her to stay around, get her fixed! There are so many unwanted puppies already in this world. (No I'm not against responsible breeding/breeders.. I'm just saying if you aren't gonna breed her again, spay her.) Third, I'm praying for you all and hope you have a blessed week. ❤💜🥰
Nice to see Cora is back. It’s up to you on what to do with Cora. You could sale the puppies and use the money to get her fixed. But it is up to you and Rachel. Good luck on what you decide. ❤
Lovely to see cora home again . If she were mine and only saying no criticism but i would have cora spayed i would speak, to your vet some won't do it so close to a heat but her having puppies so close to her last litter is really hard on her she may even ignore them then you will have to hand feed the puppies every 2 hours. Cora hasn't really fully recovered from having Russell and his litter mates. It is always up to the owner all i say is what my dear old mum used to say "you can listen to advice but you don't have to take it. Whatever you decide i hope all goes well. God bless all your family and your animals , love watching your videos.
Wow, impressive sweet potatoes! I slice mine and put them in my dehydrator and they make great treats. At first, the dogs looked at me like I was trying to fool them but after eating a few, they decided they liked them. Now they are a favorite treat!
Don't think Cora should have more pups. You never know if she was breed elsewhere and that would be a problem.I think she should get spayed.love to you guys!❤
Great to see the dogs are all back together again Kevin & Rachel, the chicken coop is really taking shape now ,and looks great. Can't wait to see the chicken wrangling. Maybe you can put a trail of grains down for them into the outside area. With a few greens to tempt them in 😂. hope you get some rain soon for the grass lands, something we are never short of here in Scotland. all best to you all. 😊
Love and enjoy your videos Kevin. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and the animals and the homestead and Kora being home where you belong. New coupe looks outstanding
I am over the moon that Cora is safe and back home for sure! The chicken coop looks great Kevin, you did an awesome job! Everyone looks happy and healthy! Keep up the good work!!
So glad Cora is back home, safe and sound with her son and “husband” 😊 The chicken coop looks great but I wouldn’t call it a “coop” looks more like a “mansion”!! LOL Your chickens are gonna be very happy and comfortable in there. As for Cora and her little escapade running out and about for 4 days, please don’t let the negative comments get you down. You ARE a responsible owner to all the animals on your farm. Cora is a dog and dogs are gonna be dogs! You tried your best to keep her on the farm, but she had other thoughts, it’s nature. As for the possibility of terminating the pregnancy and getting her spayed, you have to do what you feel in your heart is right for Cora and the farm. Yes, puppies are great and they are cute, but they are a lot of work and take a lot of time. You are not sure if she bred with other dogs while she was on her walk about, so you can’t be 100% sure if the pups are going to be pure bred or mutts, sometimes it’s hard enough to re-home pure bred pups, it’s even harder to re-home mutts. No matter what you decide to do, it has to come from your heart and for the over all health, happiness and growth of the farm. However, if you decide to let her have the pups, I’m sure with the amount of viewers you have, you will be able to find them all great homes. Good luck Brightest Blessings 🌒🌕🌘
Yay! Ms. Cora is back and she looks healthy. One more puppy litter? We'd love to see that as Cora is an excellent dog mamma. You and Rachael are great farmers and so very kind to your animals which is lovely to see!
The chicken coup is neat You did a great job on the coup. While Cora was out and she made it with another male dog and then made it with her soulmate she can have different puppies in the same litter from different dads. I thought this was true by my experience of working with a veterinarian but I looked it up to make sure before I posted and yes it can happen so she can have a litter, from two different dads
And i think that severely lowers the price for each puppy cuz you'd never know which was purebred. I even think a female that mates with a stray is frowned upon by true breeders even if all her puppies are purebred. Not sure why but breeders and the AKC are real finicky.
@@maggiemaysgrace The AKC is finicky because of puppy mills and backyard breeders, as they should be. Only dogs that meet breed, health and temperament standards should be bred, and only by AKC certified and registered breeders. Not just because someone who has no clue about breeding dogs has 2 dogs of the same breed and wants to profit off it. The female dogs should not be used as puppy machines or the puppies as objects.
So glad to see Cora back on the farm! And they WILL conceive during the bleeding period! Not as prone for conception but it’s not a guarantee that she won’t! If you’re going to get her spayed, please, please, please get it done between 10 and 15 days after the last time you saw her breed. Just saying based on my unfortunate experience with raising German Shepherds. Best of wishes for Coras’ health and your, well, your sanity. God bless you all and may all of you be blessed with your decision.
I’m happy to see Kora home. You do have a big decision because she could be bred to another dog. I know you will think it through and make the best decision for your family.
With the roost bar. If you use carriage bolts at the top and attach chains to the bottom you can lift it up and attach it to hooks on the ceiling. It makes cleaning a breeze. Top from my late Father.
Here in Jersey we haven't had any rain either and everything is dry. The trees started to change in August, and the leaves are falling off already. My Max loves his pumpkins like Mojo and his sweet potatoes.
Dogs can get pregnant by multiple fathers, even from a good looking, smooth talking COYOTE.
That's what I thought too
I was thinking the exact same thing! A female in heat is a female to breed with any dog species. Multiple fathers too. Yikes!
Lets hope not omg
Really?? How interesting is that because they're s canine relative?
The point Gloria was making is that a female dog can get pregnant by multiple dogs at the same time, if she was mated by leeski on Monday, a coyote on Tuesday, and a wolf on Wednesday, when the puppies are born, (let’s say she has 9) 3 can be leeski’s, 4 can be fathered by the coyote and 2 can be fathered by the wolf.

How about putting an AirTag on her collar? That way you can locate her if this happens again. Glad she is home and safe.
He knew where she was! He just couldn't catch her!
I use an AirTag on my Giant Schnauzer. It works great! If someone finds your dog they can hold their phone to the tag and you will be notified. The plus you can locate her on your app.
Good idea I was thinking a GPS collar but your idea would be cheaper
It doesn't stop her getting pregnant though if she gets out.@betty-janececile5214

Glad Ms Cora is back home
I'm so happy that she came back. I'm so glad that Leske and Cora are back together.

This explains why our cat had so many different types of kittens.
She could have been given a shot to extend the heat and no puppies will result I believe.
Words can’t explain how happy I am that Miss Cora is back!!!!!

Surely they have enough funds to get Cora spayed, am I wrong for thinking that?
