    We had white ducks,a white rabbit and a collie as kids every one got along in the yard. The rabbit would have free range in the yard. He loved sitting just out of range near our neighbor's fence to drive the dogs crazy. He knew they couldn't reach him and our dog protected him. Rabbits are smart.

      We chase a Muskove duck everyday away from our front porch where we try to hide a small feral cat’s feed. I’m so sick of it. It waits until we are gone or not paying attention then comes right up to our porch. I throw a broom at it which it runs over to the neighbors yard which is off limits. Very aggressive with going for food.

    Walter is hysterical strutting his stuff even while he is running. I am loving the farm birds changing directions just to follow you. Cracking me up. Get yourself some rabbit stew. They multiply faster than flies. Your trees & garden and grass look great. maybe you should feed the more than 20 birds down near the feeder and maybe get some chicken wire to add to the fence so the goats don't get stuck. It's pretty cheap here in Maryland. Good Video 's Kevin. May God continue to Bless You and your family and farm 🙏🙏

    Your flock of chickens are some beautiful birds! I didn’t realize that rabbits are such smart animals! It was so funny when the dogs were eating and the goats were all standing there waiting on them to walk away. Maybe you would have see it on video! And I love smeagle! He seems like quite the character!
    I think it’s both….first they are LGD so they want to keep their farm animals safe. And secondly they would like nothing more than to have some fried rabbit. With temps like ours here in the southern US fried is exactly what they would get….or roasted!!

  • @joannemckinley2487
    @joannemckinley2487 Год назад +2

    Kevin, I think it is just a game between the rabbits and Leesky and Kora. Come hunting season, there will be less rabbits and more fried rabbit. I sure am glad you all are getting more rain this year compared to last year, so that you still have plenty of greenry on your property for the goats and others to eat. I always laugh when the chickens run after you at feeding time. They act as if they are starved, but obviously they are well fed. I love when you do Mojo's voice. It always cracks me up! Take care to you, Rachel, the kids, and all your animals.

    Male ducks have a unique feature. Look at the tail feathers on the top of their back. On the male ducks you will notice front & center tail feathers are curled. The female ducks are not. Even from a distance you can instantly tell the difference between the nale & female by looking at their tail feathers. Without fail. Only the males have that curl in the tail feathers.

At the park where I walk in Arlington Texas there are at least 8 bobcats I see regularly. The amazing thing is there are still rabbits along the same trail. Leave the rabbits they can be food for the hawks and entertainment for the dogs.

    Does Mojo stay in that goat pasture all night? And if something attacks in the day, can he get in that pen on his own? My own boy, Feanor, has decided he wants to survey the property from the porch instead of in the goat pasture. He can get over my gates easy enough, but I'm still planning on putting in some jump gates for him to make it easier. I worry that he may be too late if something attacks (I have a National Forest out the back fence)
