As a Fulham fan, it hurts to see how Burnley have transitioned to Parkerball. The man just cant get his teams to score. He played Cavaleiro over Mitrovic for a full season in the Premier League. Lots of possesion and pssing, but none of it being very progressive
Not to mention the way he got fired at Bournemouth after getting thrashed by Liverpool and calling his squad not good enough to stay up only for O’Neil in his first ever head coach job to do so
With Scott at the helm, avoiding promotion for another season might not be a bad idea. With this low offensive output, surviving relegation in the PL would be next to impossible.
Not really, you always want maximum quality from your side into promotion then make signings that at most can help establish yourselves in the league if promoted. Youre also foregetting, change of form and development of players is not stagnent some will really pop off later on and theres a higher chance if that if they are young like burnely players. Just got to watch them every week until the season is over and evaluate, because you also font know if you get promoted, relegated, or remain in the championship 12 matches in.
I think I might've seen you at the Wednesday game since I was working it! Wished you guys the best of luck then, and I'll wish you the best of luck again. Been fond of Burnley since the Dyche era because of his time at Chesterfield.
@@VizehI think we still do have amdouni. Could be wrong but sure I read somewhere he’s on loan at Benfica for the season with then having an option to buy. Either way wish he was still with us. UTC

There also has to be that feeling as a Burnley fan, and I know you've said it time and time again, that you don't really want to be promoted because Christ almighty, Scott Parker has failed twice now in the top division, I wonder if he'll fail a third?
The problem is Parker needs players who can produce moments of magic. Like Joe Bryan when he lobbed Raya in the playoff finals. But Burnley don't have a squad who can produce "moments of magic," so the result is possession based football with no end product. If you're a team with a leaky defence, Parker probably is a good choice as a coach. But don't expect to play good football. In all honesty, I don't criticise him as much as other fulham fans. I have some good memories with him at the helm. But he's an underdog kind of manager, a big gun like Burnley in the championship would be doing better under Kompany TBH
The thing i haven’t seen a lot of Fulham fans say was that in the championship we felt really good under him. Maybe it was a bit lucky and he had a fantastic team but he’s not proactive at all. He’s reactive at a push and makes his mind up once too long after the damage is done. He also struggles to back down from any bad decisions he makes, just forces a system that clearly doesn’t work until one game it flukes and works
The Championship was ok, it was his first season and there was evidence to show he was learning but then the Premier League season was what reflects badly - persisted with playing players out of position and while the defence was pretty good the team had absolutely no attacking threat (the record for least goals scored at home in a PL season).
@ agree with ya but when he took over for the last few matches of the season we looked okay in the prem but I think his championship season was class. Once we went up it was woeful tho
Fulham fan here. One thing i will say is that Parker got us and Bournemouth promoted to the prem so there's still a good chance he can achieve that again even if it'll be a dull season. If that happens you kinda just have to hope there are good replacements after that season and that the board are ballsy enough to sack him before or early in the next season like Bournemouth did. Parker is not a prem level manager but he can get you into it
Fulham fans especially dont like him because he was awful in the prem (gave us one of our worst ever prem seasons) but then he also had the Bournemouth job lined up. Already a bit sore to leave us for a championship rival but then he also kept the club hostage by holding out for being sacked and having his contract paid out rather than leaving and having Bournemouth pay the release clause. That meant we had to wait to sign a replacement coach
Feel Burnley and Leeds are in a similar spot. Never before have felt not interested in watching Leeds but the poor level of this league mixed with our teams underperforming, its a frustrating and uninspiring football
When at Bournemouth and Fulham the expectation was for them to rout the Championship given their squads, yet in both cases Parker got them to stumble their way to promotion, and to that end both were woeful under him the following season. At Burnley this season on paper I'd say the only side with a better squad is Leeds, where even if that's questionable the expectation would still be a comfortable promotion for Burnley, with Parker's record I wouldn't be backing that to happen in all truth anymore. Playoffs are always a possibility, but he should really be guiding you to a top 2 finish.
@Vizeh hope so mate but it's hard to watch atm. I was convinced we'd get better as a team after a few games but we've actually got worse. He needs to change personnel and formation imo. 4231 is the way to go. The old fifa go to formation 🤣😁

I am bored of saying this, we play 7 out of 10 players in a defensive style.
