i can see myself playing this game for a long time given the fact ubisoft keeps in updating it with new content.
this game changed my view about ubisoft.

Totally agree, i am 24 years old, hate the idea of pre ordering games, first time i pre ordered a game in my life the gold edition, no regrets!
usually i find games too simple and dumb down to please the masses, but this game really is amazing, needs some work in some areas, but the story is really good and the world with all the small details in how everything was happening really captures the essence of an epidemic disaster.

No.. I'm actually really glad this isn't another zombie game. It's about a real disease that kills, and I enjoy the social analysis the story gives throughout. It's deep and relate-able. Zombies are getting old.

Hesh Walker Even with the generalization, they made a quarter of New York Manhatten playable. I think its doable.... More content, more story... there is so much imaginable content in this concept its amazing.
Might not happen just think about it a little too far especially for technology I don't really see Ubisoft having way too much power to make such a huge map especially they already pulled off graphics well kinda but still that would be great lol
RUclips comment never fail. Ubisoft has been straight forward about all of this stuff months before the game came out. What you saw two years ago was already talked about months back. this is not destiny, all games come with DLC stuff, let it go. enjoy it or keep it moving.

+Dexter Alenko actually people need to figure out that this is a long term game that wants to see a profit and maybe, just maybe they are setting up all these dlc's after the main game was already completed. It could be that these are side projects they wanted to put in the game but was crunched for time because they NEEDED to release a product for people to play to get some profit out of this project.
Dexter Alenko That would also be a valid point, except this has been a regular practice for other companies and developers. Since some of the best games have had multiple DLC's to continue the profits and continue interest in the game. Like I said though, it is a high probability that these DLC's were put to the side while the main game was still being developed. Only to be put out/developed at a later date and are now being brought up to let people know what this is just the beginning of the game that everyone was wanting them to push out.

Zombies in a cover base shooter RPG.... i don't see that working at all -- nor do i desire it upon this game, this game is the first shooter game that involves a virus that doesn't give even a hint towards an actual 'Zombie' scenario... so lets keep it that way and make some bloody history

+Myles Daye and I mean *spoilers* but if they can genetically print up any kind of protean sequence virus, then it would not be that hard to make some new strain that controls people. there is already many virus's like that in real life that effect ants, snails, a few others I forget. worse comes to worse you can have desperate infected people trying to escape deep out of the darkzone any way they can so they are aggressive towards people
I disagree with zombies but maybe an insane group of civilians infected with the Dollar Bill virus? They could be a bit deranged and crazy but not zombie like. I feel that is a more realistic scenario that would work relatively well.
lmao in reality, a disease like this would not cause a crazy person. Diseases in real life are more inside your body and plus people going crazy and suhc may happen but still the realism is already realistic enough we don't need a crazy florida cannibal on drugs lol xd

Eh, I don't think we need zombies or infected. The "human condition" is definitely the route they should stay on. I find the enemies much more compelling that way, too.
The disconnect for me is the enemy AI always knowing without line of sight when we are rezzing a fallen comrade ESPECIALLY in the no respawn areas where the A.I> is just dragged to you or worst they camp the bodies of players to prevent rezzing and debo a TPK by chasing you throughout entire level it seems and always knowing where you are at even if you're levels below them or above in a building or rooftop.
But the World War Z super cyborg turbo running of these mobs through any and everything has got to stop coders, it's ridiculous.
You can do cool boss fights realistically, look at Peace Walker with the helicopters and tank boss fights.

+john cavender You do know there is no gas in Division? No import, no export, no nothing. So no, a car chase would just be plain stupid..
no fuel but helicopter in air and flamethrowers all over both need a fuel source.
The solution to the raid boss problem is simple. The raid bosses could be vehicles. A tank, APC, drone or gunship.

I really wish there was zombies in this game. I actually wanted The Last of Us multi-player to be how like this game is, explore, meet people, travel in groups, fight off infected, raid military bases for better weapons, or head deeper into the city and search for supplies to keep you and your friends alive.
miguel mateo Yes yes. They should have zombies as an event around Halloween, like Halo 3 use to do.
The trading is in group only for a 2 hour time period only. You cant trade with a friend who doesn't play that often if he isn't in your party when the mission/incursion is taking place. Plus if the friend doesn't play that often, whey will not be geared for incursions.
IGN is turning this great game into some run of the mill mmo.

I expected as games went on to face different types of enemies like guys in exoskeleton or a boss fight in a mech suit or at least a different fight design like hordes of the running guys with Shields
i love this game so damn much , im so addicted to it , it has an old feeling of how all games must be like , its so damn fun with friend and even while being a lone wolf in DZ .
I say they should add some crucible like qualities from destiny to the dark zone. While the dark zone is interesting I think game modes like team death match, ctf, domination, etc would make for some great dynamic fights between different teams with they're different play styles. If they added something along these lines I'd play the dark zone twice as much.
I was telling my friend the same thing. Domination would be sick. Maybe even hardpoint mode.
a raid is a mechanic heavy encounter that combines 2 or more times the average player count. Most MMO raids are 3 8 man groups or more, however since this is not an MMO in any sense, we can confine it to the logic that binds Destiny's raids, by having 2 fireteams combine for a difficult lengthy encounter. Using that math, a raid in the Division should be no less than 8 players.
STOP IT WITH THE ZOMBIES ALREADY! Geez...they don't fit into this game. There's plenty of other ideas they can explore besides zombies.

In the divisions reveal at E3, you see the group go to these tunnels that say "underground" and they say theyll "check it out later" this is straight up showing us they cut it out of the game to sell as DLC this is the lowest point.... literally showing us something and then cutting it out to sell as a separate piece... wtf??

after 25 hours...i still dont miss those tunnels.

Battlefield had they're entire DLC on a calendar in the game. For the entire year. They've been doing this since battlefield 3 too..
What i wanna see is gun packs dlc, like. H&k pack or a lwrc pack, so they add all kinds of weapons like for example lwrc make everything from assault rifles to lmgs that would be cool i think
hopefully cool masks come in the game like the purge,payday,batman joker masks..

you can only trade gear within a couple hours of picking it up. it's not full scale trades
Level 18 now, didn't like it first day it was crazy buggy for me. But I grew on it. Especially if you have a bulked up squad. Pretty wild they put expansions when it should have been the whole game.

But virus outbreak, it doesn't really show, save for a few people coughing, and body bags as you peruse the environment. That's justification enough for some sort of mutated enemy. Likewise, I think the Dark Zone needs to expand, and needs actual missions. How cool would it be to have the same effect of running around with other groups, not knowing if they'll kill you or not, while on a mission? The game needs it.

i mean i think they could go mech with this game. Like mech style bosses tied into the lore somehow. Kind of like the final story mission but amped up a bit.
I wonder if Last Stand will be the next wave of division agents to take the current agents out, would go along with the current story and make for some interesting gameplay of defending ourselves against highly elite enemies that are fairly well matched with us
We are already fighting the First Wave of the Division Agents when we are fighting LMB. So fighting another Wave of Agents wouldnt be a new enemy type.
didn't they say that the trading is going to be very specific? I believe you will only be able to trade loot that drops at time of play with a group and only with other people in your group when it drops. so no "division black market"
Why wasnt all this cool stuff theyre adding included with the original game? Why is it acceptable to add the majority of your game later?

BOO on you IGN for wanting everything to have zombies. Zombies have had their fill and it's getting less and less exciting and even scary... Zombies used to fill people with nightmares; now they are just another commodity. The Division would not work well with the traditional *undead* zombie. (Did people forget they are undead?) Now a transformation of sorts where people infected with a mutated smallpox virus, still mindful of their actions (i.e. Gears of War or the flood from Halo), can band together and become another force to be reckoned with.
If yall had done your research youd know that trading is only available to ppl in your group(in that incursion)
I'll just wait for the release of the game with the full dlc package next year, thank you very much

Me personally i wished they would have gone tactical shooter first and RPG second, that said the game isent bad now, but, it could have been WAY better IMO if they gone the other way around rather than RPG first and Shooter second. and im pretty sure that ALOT of people thinks the same.
I don't think these guys know that the only way you can trade the loot to your buddy is if you are both in the party at the point of acquiring that loot.

Last stand needs have a better story plot than the actual story itself. Don't disappoint.
these guys clearly didnt even understand the trading system when they talked about it. you have to be in a players group at the time of the item dropping in order to trade.
So I'm guessing there will be NO additional campaign missions in the Season Pass?
As long as the zombies aren't like zombies on Black Ops 3 it's cool.
My god can we give up about the Zombies. That has been done. TO DEATH. This is about humanity trying to come back from the brink. This is a game based with an element of realism (except the bullet sponge part). People want zombies, but what we need is something original.

My opinion I think the bullet sponge effect is fine for the story mode/campaign, but NOT so good for the PVP version of the game.
I really like this game, I don't know why people complain about every game that the sun shines on, but my opinion its good, now if they came out with an "zombies/infected" dlc in one are of NYC, I would never put this game down
First it was Destiny, now The Division. Really hoping it doesn't catch on with devs that all shooters need to be MMOs. They can have stories; you know that right? I'll take 6 hours of Spec Ops: The Line, over 60 hours of The Division any day.
The Division and Destiny are not MMOs and I think that is what is holding them back, there should be more of an emphasis on PVP and interaction with other players.

no survival will be more or the whole map a dark zone you can tell because after they show survival they ask if you will be tempted to go "rogue"

Survival maybe the whole world goes into a dark zone ? you do have the option to activate it though but maybe do that and increase the player count to 64 players

i'm just hoping for more skills, talents and perks mainly, maybe some better customization for outfits would be nice. Also it would be cool if like in one of the trailers i watched if it ended up being three separate areas with different dark zones, also making going rogue more rewarding cause right now the game HATES rogues. but thats all i really see needing some change

Very misinformed there is plenty of content in this game off the bat I'm 19 hrs in and barely scraped the surface and the Dark Zone is endless
i have clocked 46 hours in this game
i am level 23, my 3 upgrade trees are complete 80% 60% and 80%, iv spent around 10 hours of my time in the darkzone.
i have explored around 60% of the map.
my main story progress is 62%.
i think this is a very complete fully featured product. and i am enjoying it. i have the pc version and id rate this game much higher than destiny.

I really enjoy The Division so far, but these expansions don't look worth the incredibly steep price. I guess I'll have to make do with only about 50% of the game that they let you have for $60.
All this talk of big bosses and what not, if we have to keep it "Clancy realistic" why not let us fight a tank, a battle-drone/robot, or some other type of modern or near-modern military hardware.

It's more Diablo than destiny. If you look at it that way you start to understand why the gear and weapons work the way they do.

i hope they include another slice of the manhatten map including central park and please get the rights to use the image of the empire state and chrysler buildings in the game to replace the present models which are really ugly amd are not those iconic buildings

They need to fix and kill the grinders and exploiters first. First, kill the whole loot sharing between characters. Second, put in TDM/KOTH/Cap flag PVP to keep people busy. Lastly get the dark zone better match making so new players can at least go in with out getting decimated by lvl 10 NPC and lvl 50 DZ players. Give them a dam chance. Same with high level players. Let them smash each other.
We do not need space magic in this game. RPG does not mean every game has to be a sci-fi adventure. There is plenty of ways to make the end game feel epic without it being a giant sci-fi creature. That is whack. You can shoot a tank or assault a very defensive location

if people complaining about not being able to one shot hostiles in the head or whatever then they'll have to make it the Same thing will have to happen to the players and they wouldn't like that
Destiny has Ai's that get one shoted in the the head with a high caliber weapon on multiplayer you can one shot them with a sniper with a headshot. They should atleast one shot or 3 at the head is dead. And in the dark zone it's 3 or 2 shots in the head
Where is the PVP, brah? When are we getting the DayZ style area filled with constant tension, where we can be betrayed at any moment? That is what we were promised and I want it. It would be the actual end game payoff for this long PVE grind. Fun grind with friends, but still a grind. I want to dominate my enemies and get phat lootz while I do it!!

what I think is real funny every one even my self say bullet sponge but I came to realize once you start upgrading you can shoot them level of guys you put clips in to one time and they are dead. Then you guys say zombies no I want a realistic game they can make great bosses and not have to do the zombie or alien.
Zombies would be a lazy concept for an enemy.
First raid boss will be Vulcan Raven.

Somebody help please. I bought the season pass but it didn't come with the exclusive Sawed-off Shotgun and gun skins
go to your console game store under add ons. look for season pass. it should show a list of everything that comes with it. you'll have to install it (saw off ) and then pick it up from the rewards vendor

As someone who quit Destiny because of no Nitefall or Raid match making, does Division have it? End game content is useless to me if I have to get online and hunt for a team in message boards, etc
Uhm yeah man, there is an endgame matching system. Youll be able to find players for anything you want to do.
