Thanks Joe. We were really lucky that we got to travel as we flew on the 19th and the Greek Authorities only allowed passengers from the UK on the 15th :/ I've lost two holidays earlier in the year due to the pandemic and very likely to lose my birthday Vegas trip too :(
1989 I flew flight only to Alicante with monarch in mid July I remember parts of your video shots of the terminal I got my world travel adapter from boots if it was there then and I still have it thanks for the videos I’ve never flown again from Manchester
It's changed quite a lot (for the worse too I'd say) since the early 2000s :/ Pier C (which I used) and Pier B are relatively unchanged however. Pier C was supposed to be getting demolished as part of the redevelopment project but I think that it is now going to be refurbished instead.

Hi, yes there are lifts at the both the terminals and the train station as well as lifts from the station concourse down to the platform. There are trolleys available in the arrivals hall/baggage reclaim and the station (for folks travelling the other way). Have a great trip :)

Hi, yes it should be a lot busier as T2 is being closed so there will be more flights from T1. The good thing is that more shops and facilities might open up due to the expected increase in passenger numbers. Have a good trip :)
Could anyone please tell me if you're allowed to eat sandwiches etc in the departure lounge? In your video I did briefly notice a man eating. I'm a bit nervous about eating in one of the restaurants and sometimes there is no time to do so. But as I understand it, we are supposed to keep our masks on at ALL times.
I am fairly sure that you can lower your mask to eat sandwiches or have a drink whilst in the departure lounge, I didn't see any signage specifically forbidding it and the shops that were open were selling sandwiches and drinks. Have a good trip :)
Hi Tina, no there were no temperature checks upon arrival back at Manchester. There was no testing of any kind, just a quick check of the Passenger Locator Form.
So do I :/ if I had been able to get my 2nd jab earlier I would have been passing through around 3 weeks ago on my way to Greece but had to cancel at the last minute :(
I don’t think they will they have just built a new parking garage for terminal 1 and built some more stands and improved the taxi way would have been pointless doing it if they are just going to demolish it
Went there in June.flight changed to terminal 1 from 3.just noticed on goggle that morn,ticket had only been booked few days before.so was surprised it not say terminal 1 on ticket,3 carpark and entrance was blocked off so warily headed to terminal 1 outside car park,3 cars in it,exit blocked so had to depart from entrance point.as ticket for term 3 was not sure where to go to depart.logically we chose a route on left.it took us ages to walk route, thinking it just a different way to term 3. Came across all the desks but everything in darkness it ended at security door ,noone there,it was so scary,in the dark room only a bit of window light, It was as if appocolype had happened and we were the only humans on earth.sweating hot in masks too.we decided it not look good so went to go and find route b instead. Then I saw information guys at a little desk by door,they were not at their seats when we arrived ,very kind man told us it was route b and even the desk number,he also said lady would be there in 10 mins to open,only 6 people got on flight. I must admit during all lockdown this was the most gut sickening experience to go through,reality certainly kicked in. Not only that the fact that we had wandered all over dark unused terminal parts with no one stopping us,good job we weren't terrorists. I will never forget that horrid feeling that day.

There border checks are as normal for arrivals, Passenger Locator Forms are checked prior to passport control.

I really don't know that, the prices change often but the main duty free store is reasonably priced.

Do you ever have to check temperature
Not when I visited, I was tested in Greece with a throat swab and not tested in any way upon arrival back in Manchester.
Mate isn't it kinda creepy that last year I travelled with jet2 at terminal 2 in July 😂
A bit, Jet2 were split between the two terminals which was causing confusion but at least they are under one roof now ;)
