What a treat for me to revisit one of my favorite places. I love it when time appears to stand still. When history comes to life and for a brief moment you are a part of it all. I truly believe in honoring and respecting our forefathers. They were the pioneers of this new country. They invented, made do and sacrificed in order to survive. And because they did we are privileged and should be humbled to live in this country. Amen.

It really is! I remember from when I was a child the ladies were often sipping on these beautiful drinks made of lemonade with a layer of red wine on the top. They were beautiful. Early coolers I suspect! Not to be had on the menu when we were there that I could see. I may have to try to recreate it this summer.

Oh my goodness! What a treat for this video of my favorite place to have popped up! I've been many times and will never get enough!
I live in SC in a converted barn and use many of the colonial organic gardening practices at my country place. I use my beautiful flowers and herbs to decorate the altar table at my little country church which was founded in 1872. You mentioned garden videos you filmed there, so I'll l look for those next.
Thank you so much for ALL of your videos. I was born in the wrong century. All of your content fits me just right. May God bless you with safe travels during your "wanderings"!

Loved this video. Makes me want to plan a trip there. I want to tell you how I appreciate your restraint in purchasing one of those birdhouses since it was made in China. All Americans need to be checking tags and practicing the same restraint. You will find a quality American crafted one I’m sure! I hope one of your viewers has a good source.
