  • Trip to the home of Founding Father George Wythe in Colonial Williamsburg. George was a Signer of the Declaration of Independence and Law Professor at William & Mary. His students included Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, Henry Clay and Chief Justice John Marshall.

    I have been fortunate enough to have visited Williamsburg a couple of times. I always enjoyed walking through the Wythe. Home It was good seeing it again through your eyes. Enjoyed the video. Thank you so much.

    Thank you so much for another excellent video! You should definitely try to visit St. John’s Church next time you come to Richmond, George Wythe is buried there. Very historic spot! Happy New Year !!

      @@VATravels Excellent! Elizabeth Van Lew also lived near the church, and Chimborazo Hospital is also in the Church Hill neighborhood, so there are lots of ideas in the one area ( though the Van Lew house is no longer standing, there’s a marker there).

    Pretty neat, since I wasn't able to explore the houses in that area when I was in Virginia, and these houses always seemed pretty fascinating.
