That moment when you have lethal and play Hungry Dragon just for the BMs, your opponent gets a Shieldbearer and wins next turn...
I still have nightmares *BibleThump*
Ophiussa The real nightmare is when you concede to avoid BM and your opponent does that XD
Ophiussa
>BMing before attacking
You deserved it, dumbass
MrFreakman0 The fuck with those arrows man
Ophiussa thats why i never BM... i dont see a reason to be a dick and risk my victory

Hey Kripp, I was wondering if you could make a "How good is Lil'Exorcist?" video. That card has gotten absolutely no attention since it's release and honestly with so many popular Deathrattle cards, I'm surprised.
You release lil exorcist is a girl right?
If_you_say_so Lol *realise
SBroproductions i pick it every time in arena lol
If_you_say_so Lol it's transgender
If_you_say_so Lol Fine changed it
I was really sad I didn't record this today, but my opponent plays Hungry Dragon. It gives me Webspinner. When it died, it gave me Gah'zrilla. Sadly, it didn't live past a turn, but that situation was very hilarious.
The same thing, my opponent received a web spinner from my hungry dragon and got a freaking malorne 😕
Today i was going out for some sausages to a local butcher's. When i got there i asked for some good sausages. The woman working there smiled viciously and told me she got some real sausages made out of meat. I was really suspicious about her smile and asked her if it's really that good. She started masturbating vigorously and yelled into oblivion "yeaaah it's good, gooood so goooood". She died and it turned out she is a piloted shredder. She dropped down a doomsayer. Now i can't click end turn button because everyone will die.
But reading your comment and seeing you find it hilarious i kinda wanna do it.
Aced Positive wat.

Phil Harvey Thanks you literally saved my life
The new Darude Sandstorm
Thx bro.
Phil Harvey Ty bro you saverino my liferino
I only play hungry dragon when I'm
1: confident that it wont be a problem that turn
2: confident that I can kill it as soon s its summoned whether that be board clear whats already there or have a weapon or spell to take it out
3: combo it with MC tech
***** This is why it's pretty bad, too many conditions required, pretty much a "win more" that doesn't really matter much most of the time
Might as well run Shredder or vanilla Yeti
***** That's the ideal, yes, but sometimes you have nothing you can play in your hand except the Dragon and you have no choice but to play it and hope you don't get screwed over. That scenario is not that uncommon either.
Stanley Fielding It does help as a dragon in my hand for those activators though as a small upside
***** As for me, the "if you hold X in hand" mechanic is inherently bad or at least too slow in aggro environment. Being forced to hold your cards instead of playing them in tempo might disrupt your flow heavily.
Meanwhile facehunters and zoolocks play w/e comes into their hands and you lose as you hesitate to play your stuff waiting for activator
Stanley Fielding I think that's more a problem of the meta then the mechanic right now, on a side note fuck this aggressive as hell meta
I made a tempo hunter with it, synergyzes with unleash the hounds, sea giant and volcanic drake, and you can always kill the little guy with a weapon if you want
Yeah at rank 20
SurlzWurlz Caca
Actually I'm rank5 now
Also mc tech
Kurmagit no shit ur playing huntard
One thing that might help dragon decks is adding to the effect of cards for if you have a dragon in your hand is also put or on the field
OodustwindoO That would be completely balanced, like when you play a 3 drop and also get a Ysera with it. Yeah, really good idea buddy.
He will continue to make these videos with every card. There will be so many. Since there are atleast 10 cards.
Pit Lord is a bad comparison because it's Warlock-only, and the self-damage is especially bad for Warlocks. The five health is (kind of) 2.5 cards. The question isn't "would you play Pit Lord in constructed," it's "would you play Pit Lord in Priest?"
I feel like they should have made the effect a death rattle, and then it would be about somewhere between as good as piloted shredder and yeti, since it's not always just yeti +1/+1 due to the fact that it still dies to fireball so you can still run into the scenario where you play yeti/Hdragon, and your opponent immediately kills it with fireball. the out come is almost exactly the same, except that dragon gives your opponent a minion making it objectively worse than yeti there while usually being slightly better otherwise.
Sonic Shoe You can't adjust cards based on one spell [fireball]. In general, with a stat of 4 mana for 4/3 deathrattle 2 minion compared to a 5 mana for 5/6 battlecry give opponent 1 minion, it's fairly balanced in Blizzard's standards for the game. They would have to readjust the attack/health as well if you wanted Hungry Dragon to be adjusted in that way.
You also have to consider the philosophy of the race or card. Hungry dragon is designed to have a more significant drawback for it's initial advantage while Shredder has an initial drawback but better advantage after death
***** eh, either way Hungry dragon is probably one of the worst designed (under powered) cards ever released right up there with executus.
You can combo the same turn with Hungry Dragon compared to Executus [weapons, spells, Mind Control tech, area of effect, etc) at max mana. Early game you set up the previous turns or save it for activating cards that need a dragon in your hand (mechs don’t have this feature).
Mechs: initially performs stronger than late game
Dragons: drawbacks early on , strongest late game.
All 4 mana dragons have a drawback while the 4 mana mechs are moderate.
Executus is not a bad card just very situational and actually requires to be combo’d on the same turn to meet my standard. People play Executus when they expect to die in a couple of turns, and hopefully the opponent is obligated to deal with Executus first. Hungry Dragon is more RNG based either giving you a large tempo swing or being screwed by rng.
***** If by "situational" you mean 1 out of 1,000 games Executus might not be an automatic lose. The other 999 games it sits in your hand being useless. No it's not a bad card. It's a terrible card.
***** Right now in ranked it's too situational because of how aggressive meta is atm. For arena and unranked I've made a couple of decks work where it's saved me and turn the game around [warlock with alex, jaraxxus, executus]. 1 out of a 1000? A little hyperbolical, it was more like 1 out of 5 for me. Like I already said, too situational and needs to be able to be combo'd the same turn to meet my standard.
I would place it higher depending on classes.
For instance: It's quite good for warrior if you play enrage decks and you have an undamaged worgen out...or a frothling berserker.
Pretty good curve if you ask me
what had the last clip to do with hungry dragon?
Considering you were using a Warlock deck as your example use for Hungry dragon, it makes me wonder what the value would be alongside of Shadowflame or Bane of Doom, albeit it is a tad expensive and just plain clumpy for a single kick.
My wait is finally over. Thanks, Kripp.
I always kind of felt that Hungry Dragon would be best in Zoo/Midrange decks, maybe replacing or supplementing Yeti/Piloted Shredder in the 4 spot. Those decks tend to have strong early curves, so that by turn 4 they would probably have enough of a board presence to deal with whatever popped out, while making their Turn 4 tempo swing even harder, and in theory that still works. I certainly had success with it when the card first came out, but the meta's shifted lately away from those sorts of midrange decks, at least except for Zoo, which already has a pretty stacked 4-drop slot. But it worked fine for me when I put it in Midrange Paladin for to replace one of my Shredders. That deck, however, isn't faring well right now in general.
i pulled off the hungry dragon mctech combo in arena, and it probably contributed to my win that game !
DmRushed It "probably" contributed? So... Hungry Dragon OP confirmed?
On a shaman deck you can use Hungry Dragon on turn 6+ and then any of your board clear spells. Paladin can use it with consecrate (turn 8+).
A mid-range hunter can play it with explosive trap (on turn 6 or earlier if you already played it or popped it with the scientist 2 drop). In a lot of situations (specialy on turn 4) your opponent will come hit you face because they dont have enough attack on board to kill your 5/6 dragon.
Only some of the 1-drops have 3+ health so all the options above should work. It gets you a good tempo in late game since board clearing is usualy expensive. On paladin you can also use the new secret (the one that kills his next drop when 4+ creatures are in play) when your opponent has 3 creatures. And yeah, mind control tech.
so first pick in arena. hungry dragon vs senjin vs wisp.
who would u pick?
I think this is as close as I've watched a video from the upload date. DANGED 30 seconds ago!
What are you guys thinking about Deathlord in Arena with Priest? Won me alot of games, I think it is really good. Just heal and buff him, sometimes you have a Micro Machine or some other dude behind the Deathlord and than it´s gg.
that dust devil made my day.
Hey, how about a few "How Good is (Class Name)?" videos? It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on each of the classes, what sorts of strategies they naturally do well at with their available cards, and what sorts of differences there are playing them Arena vs Constructed. They just added a bunch of cards with Blackrock Mountain, so it seems like a good time for something like that. Anyway, thanks for all the videos you've made. Very interesting to watch, even though I am just a casual player. Great stuff.
I've been doing well with MC tech hungry dragon combos
"a 55% win ratio in arena is garbage"
ow :(
Well it isn't very good. That's approximately a 4-3 or 3-3 arena run which is actually pretty bad.
Robin Shen my average arena run is 8 wins. so yes, constructed win rate in arena sucks dick
Downloader3008 Consider that the global Arena win rate is 50%. That is not really pretty bad.
androkguz Of course the average win rate is fucking fifty percent. It's basic logic.
Every game, someone loses and someone wins.
McSuilenroc its actually less than 50%, as its possible to draw and a draw results in both players losing
Yo, look at the art on Hungry Dragon and Chillwind Yeti... Is the dragon doing an impression of the yeti?
Gonna start reminding everyone to put Kripp's vids in 1.25x speed. You won't miss anything cause he already talks slow and you'll shave off some time of the video.
Also sometimes it seems he's rapping, which is also pretty cool.
I've been using it in my Tempo Mage deck as my only 4 drop minion with the logic that it's 5 damage for only 4 manner so I feel it's too slow to out in.Also with Tempo Mage there are a lot of cheap removal spells that I'm often going to have in my hand and the hero power itself. Flamwaker with a cheap spell brings an even greater chance to remove the 1 drop that turn. However usually if we're playing it on turn 4 it's going to be almost impossible to deal with the 1 cost minion that turn. Overall I think it's alright. Worth noting I don't have Piloted Shredder but if I did I'd probably just put 2 of them in instead for my only 4 drop minions.
Hey Kripp, can you do a video on how good Elven Archer is?
I have a priest deck and this fits in really well,
if the opponent has 3 minions out, I do hungry dragon -> mind control tech.
if the opponent has a lot of 2 health minions (or if I have extra spelldamage) I do hungry dragon -> holy nova
if I have board control, I just use hungry dragon safely.
now I have far from every card unlocked in the game, so there are better options, but for what I have, I feel like it's the best.
I'm sorry this is a bit off-topic, but... How do we send suggestions to ChallengeStone again? I've been testing a challenge since Kripp posted that video and I didn't find a way to send my idea to him.
Another possibility is to play hungry dragon when you were going to frost nova and follow up with flamestrike next turn anyways, as no 1 drop goes above 4 health.
Why didnt you did the play with the card that gives u 1 out of 4 opponents at the first gameplay ? You talked about it earlyer but u havent done it even when u could? :D
22:06 Enderino of kripperino viderino
How about playing it in a priest deck with Elvin archer, and MCTech and Cabal?
I played a zombie chow into mirror entity yesterday c: felt like such a badass
I actually got the hungry dragon + MCT-combo in arena once. Snagged a stormwind champion off it. :D
In arena if you pick silver hand regent and summon a guy and then play hungry dragon you can usually take out the minion that gets summoned by his battle cry
what about hungry dragon cabal on turn 10? OpieOp
Is it good? No.
highwayblowout Yeah it is
Sam Calin No it isn't!
...Some high-level debate going on here.
H0lyMoley yes it is
Ecbrd No it's not.
starczarar yes it is
Up next!
How good is my shirt variety?
Would hungry dragon be horribly op if the effect was a deathrattle instead of being a battlecry? Just a small change that would make it much better imo, but mabey even too op in ramp druid for example. And it would even fit the flavor of the card better, because after slaying the beast you would get a friend out of his belly :D
I thought it would go well with dragon hunter personally because you'd use it then use their dog ability and most likely be able to kill whatever spawned with a 1/1 doggie or if u have a wolf for sure with a 2/1
I've gotten a Shieldbearer from my opponent and basically managed to win. I can definitely see how deadly this card can be for both sides...i have him in some of my Dragon decks and it doesn't screw me up often but sometimes
in arena it works fine with mind control tech..
drafted now a warlock deck with pit lord. With 4 voidcallers its not really a problem to have a pit lord and its 5damage battlecry
What if instead of summoning a random one drop, Hungry Dragon always summoned a 1/1 or a 2/1 or something, would that make it better?
Can u do best cards for paladin
this is a pretty good card in a priest deck with resurect. goes well with dark cultists and injured blade masters and sunfury taunt girls.
I got the hungry dragon, mc tech combo in area, got his best card
I've gotten the hungry dragon mc tech to work 3 times in a 8 win run as warrior! it can swing games!
How good are the Elementals?
I remember an arena against a mage, was on control on the board but a bit on the clock (5 health against oppo 20, but he hadn't played fireball yet so he probably had at least 1 in deck), played hungry dragon and he got webspinner. Killed that webspinner and pushed oppo down to 12 health, was going to win next turn unless taunt or fireball. He got King Krush from Webspinner...
11:54 Is when Kripperoni starts to play
11:50 skipperino kripperino to gammerino
I have had it kill there turn 5 or 6 5/5 and has really good when even on the board
11:54 Skipperino Kripperino talkerino about hungry dragonrino
"Turns out it's preeeeety pit snake".
How good is patient assassin ?
Hungry Dragon works great as a Shadow Priest. Imo, it's not worth it if you have to work to clear the spawn (with a spell, or by damaging another minion), but there are a couple ways around it, such as Mind Spike/Mind Shatter as Priest, and Steamwheedle Sniper as Hunter.
Dumb question probably, but would it be too OP if the battlecry became a deathrattle?
3:15 to skipperino for kripperino to get to pointerino
Skipperino Kripperino 11:50 Or watcherino in double speederino
That last clip did not even have a Hungry Dragon in it ??
00:00 no Skipperino Kripparino :]
I still enjoy coining out a turn 3 hungry dragon with 2 Resurrects in my hand as priest. But that's if I didn't already coin out an injured blademaster on turn 2. Yeah, I think he's fun in a resurrect priest deck. And most of the time, you can holy nova after playing him while you're already clearing the board with nova anyway. I agree that he's not the greatest. But he makes for some fun, at least.
Playing him as Priest with the McBitch. Summon Dragon and just steal the spawn works really well.
c
its nice with board control or mage... since all dangers have 1 health. I did get aleper gnome against a hunter and it caused loss, lol. in a priest deck, I have not found it that bad. Only once playing it on an empty board on my side. and the wind fury 3/1 came up behind annoyatron. With priest you get all the value back with resurrect. and blade master deck. It has great resurrect value.
11:52 Skipperino Kripperino Talkerino
I kind of like the Hungry Dragon in my dragonpriest deck. I don't really have anything better to run in that slot, and given that I already control the board, I simply kill off the 1-cost that gets spawned. Except in those times when my opponent got a Voidwalker that saved his arse, or an Argent Squire that I couldn't deal with.
On top of that, that deck doesn't get me above rank 16... so... yeah.
About the Mill rouge, could you offer a suggestion to younger players who cant afford naxxramas or legendaries?
keith gallagher
I can't really tell what are you asking for. Could you make your question more precise?
Aced Positive if you've seen the Gang up is crazy" video then it would make sense I think.
HAHAHAHHA THAT FIRST FUCKIN CLIP HOLY FUCKIN SHIT REKT LMAOOOO XD
Hey Kripp, if you are ever gonna make another challenge stone, the next challenge could be that you have to use your hero power every turn starting form turn 2 or 3...
(It's an opinion)
hungry dragon + revive combo is cool
Hey, how's it going? Is kripparian there?
Paladin with hungry dragon works pretty well for me. You tend to have a weapon (truesilver or from muster) to deal with what pops out. You've really just gotta be careful with it and make sure you can deal at least 2 damage.
D Sandman How does that justify using Hungry Dragon? In that scenario you could play something more reliable like a Yeti and use the Truesilver to kill the next card they play - instead of wasting it on whatever minion Hungry Dragon spawns. When a card can literally fuck you 1/3 of the time and the benefits of it are marginal compared to other popular 4-drops - it's a bad card.
Yes, but that little sacrifice for +1/+1 over yeti and synergy with blackwing corrupter etc. is a fine price to play over yeti. All I'm saying it I've yet to have a game losing situation with Hungry Dragon.
D Sandman Once again, 2/3 of the time Hungry Dragon is good value. It's that 1/3 that's that can quite literally lose you the game (especially if you're playing it on Turn 4) that makes a +1/+1 not worth it. That's not even including other factors like it being within SW:Death kill range. "Yet to lose" is a poor indicator of overall results when it's one person vs. countless others (who are forgoing it).
D Sandman I would have agreed this morning, but then today my Hungry Dragons spawned two consecutive shieldbearers which lost me that game. Next game saw them spawn yet another shieldbearer and a flame imp. I sacked them off immediately after. I also begrudge using a charge of my truesilver on whatever 1-drop Hungry Dragon spawns - it feels like a waste to do it but too often it's necessary. The card advantage that that truesilver charge can give me is often more valuable than +1/+1 in stats over, say, a yeti (particularly against all the Mages on ladder who just fireball HG off the board immediately). But maybe I'm just playing the card badly. Anyway, hope it continues to work for you!
to be fair: first clip - any 2 attack 1 drop would have got him the lethal with bloodlust
Another kripp video another likerino ;)
The hungry Dragon, MC tech play happened for me in arena, 1/4 chance of getting his Sunwalker which I did get. It was the only way I could win, The almighty RNGesus.
11:50 Skipperino, but you should really listerino
the wrymp minions, fcks me everytime
I play hungry Dragon in a shaman deck. Hungry dragon is a turn five play for me as I will play it then lightning bolt the spawned minion depending on how strong it is.
today in arena, I fought a mage with 4 flame strikes 2 poly morphs. Believe me never have my earphones flown so far in their life...
What was so special about that 2'nd game? Hungry Dragon spawned something crappy... and?
blyjd91 And the game was super close.
blyjd91 It's titled "imagine a bad drake situation", in other words, a bad roll on the drake would have lost him that game because of how close it was.
BlueFire4101 Fair enough though.
BlueFire4101 On the other hand, it did show the better side of Hungry Dragon; Kripp got basically the best result he could have from that.
It shows the two sides of the Hungry Dragon and why it's a bad card. Because you play it and there's a chance you just get screwed, otherwise it doesn't perform too fantastically. The lack of consistency is the real flaw with the card.
i fucking died when the dust devil spawned, ahahhaa
yesterday i did 12/2 with 2 hungry dragons (mage deck)
It's good to remember that Dragon is a tag that isn't going away. It's easy to see them not "printing" mechs anymore but there will be more dragons. Demons were pretty damn bad as a tag for a long time.
Grandmaster Kripp, could you do How Good Is Al'Akir pls?
Now if Hungry Dragons effect was a Deathrattle: Summon a Random 1-Cost for Your Opponent, would it be any better?
Belakitu yes
What's he talking about 17:30
Hey swifty nice video! How about a razer naga giveaway?
***** this is bajheera go home
Kripperino plz do next time "how good is Shadowbomber" wanna see why its so good because its an epic
11:52 --> Skipperino kripperino
It combos with a lot of stuff, though. Situational, but not bad.
I did the Hungry Dragon MC tech combo in Arena earlier today. I stole a 5/9
it should be a 4/4 for 5 that summons a random 1 drop for you then consumes it ability
I did the hungry dragon+MC teck in arena and it turn out well. I end up 7-3 on that arena (my personal record)
Gave an enemy priest a blood imp the other day on turn 3, gg
