This just shows how accomplished she is. This dude made a 12-minute long video about all of her abilities and how advanced she is. She went from a beginner to a master in a year. And only being 14 years old (imagine her at her prime). Yet people say she's weak...

@@deathoftheendless8565 well toph isn’t as versatile as katara she does earth bend like an air bender but doing things like jumping and dodging don’t work for her at all for obvious reasons, zuko isn’t as versatile but we’ve seen him use all bending styles in his fire bending proving he had some versatility
@@OrionG Not exactly what I meant but Toph is obv more versatile than Zuko due to her mastery of metalbending earth and also knowing sandbending....Let’s not forget the mastery of seismic sense.

The last time I was this early, women in the Northern Water Tribe were allowed to use waterbending only for healing.

I forget how incredibly powerful waterbending is. Katara truly is the best of the best and her style of combat is so versatile and unique I love it
Aside from all the great clips pointed out in this video, she gets to do some insane stuff in the comics, like creating ice bridges to transport her through the skies and create ice sleds to get around the ground as well. I think it's reasonable to say that Katara has the most complete skillset we're shown on screen as an all around waterbender, being a master as both a healer and a water bender, and being extremely good at bloodbending, considering she used it for less than 2 minutes of screen time. She's also got a great character arc and lots of humanizing moments throughout the show. Katara is waterbending at its best.

Katara is a prodigy just like Azula, she got rough childhood and had all the reasons to be batshit psychotic vengeful person just like Hama. We saw glimpse of how Katara can be crazy i.e. challenge Pakku, shooting ice shards at Jet, threaten to kill Zuko and bloodbend out of anger.
While Azula has nobody beside her, Katara has Sokka. I believe that Sokka is the one that keeps her sane.
Agreed, you can see how her emotional buildups could be especially dangerous especially if she didn’t have an anchor.
Why almost everyone forget about plantbending. It's really powerful sub skill, and Katara had mastered it as well)
You forgot that katara did plantbend once in the comics. It was the search part 2 she plantbend at the northern water tribe siblings who were there looking for a spirit.katara briefly bend leaves off the ground

Imagine if Zuko didn't figure out that the people who killed Katara's mom were the Southern Raiders. With the full moon at her back, Katara could've taken out the entire Fire Nation Fleet that night.

Katara is an amazing water bender. However the fight with poku happened before she was trained by a true master. Later during the fight with zuko she was a full fledged master and as the war progressed she grew up more powerful her ambition and competitiveness making her unable to do anything else.
However katara was a master bender from the time she started training with poku before the siege of the north. Anything done before hand was done as still a novice to the art and she was only able to so by her ever constant villagence to improve at her abilities.
In my opinion she's the best waterbender in the Avatar universe
And BEST healer
They say just that in the comics, that she is the strongest waterbender in the world

Katara is so underrated in terms of strength, she is also SUPER accurate and precise. She literally threw wood planks into the air as defense and when stopped the ice shards right as they were going to hit Yon Rha. That is crazy precision.

Nah, in bloodbending he is, but if Katara and Amon were to fight without bloodbending, Katara would win. I doubt I’m everywhere, I barely see you to be honest- all of a sudden everyone says they see me everywhere and I don’t know how.

katara used blood bending in a comic, she bloodbended sokka in a battle to send his blood back into him instead of it dripping out.

@@user-xd6ti5xs5o I think it was the civil war when the North tried to take over the South not sure which one it was.
This was when I realized that Katara was actually OP, not much less stronger than either Toph or Zuko. But honestly she could have utilized bloodbending in such a way that you don't manipulate your enemies. Examples, like making your blood flow always constant even through rigorous activities can greatly increase her versatility in combat, bloodbending can also be used in such a way that in enhances the currently taught healing techniques and may even heal internal injuries. There's so much variation of bloodbending that it can be useful and not harmful, Katara just doesn't see it that way. Too bad she did not practice bloodbending enough to see the more useful sides of it besides puppetry
At the end I would’ve also mentioned she was able to dodge multiple strikes from Ty Lee, that’s pretty epic
Very true. What made it even more impressive was that Katara was sleep-deprived at the time. It has been proven that sleep deprivation slows reaction speed.

She mastered Water bending in a short amount of time, incapacitated Zuko twice, Beat Azula in a fight Twice, knows how to bloodbend, is an excelent healer and saved the Avatar from death, and helped end the 100 year war.

Ok I can admit katara is definitely one of the strongest characters and water benders in the avatar universe but that doesn’t mean she can win every fight
Also people keep on saying she can win every fight by just blood bending even tho
1 she despises the form and even made it illegal
2 she needs a full moon
can we just say she defeated Azula with Sozin's comet and she blocked her lighting with water when Azula had a power boost/ aka Sozin's comet.

Katara IS the most versatile bender since versatility is the very principle of waterbending so it's understandable. She'd understood it and applied it thoroughly. Which brings to mind Amon since the guy had limited himself to bloodbending which I get is like, the opposite of what Katara did by shying away.... well. It's also understandable why he'd think it was undefeatable if no one else is better at it than him.

Unless I’m missing something most of the times u said she was using the full moon to aid her ...she wasn’t especially since we’ve seen her do the exact type of bending moves without the aid of the full moon.also if I’m not mistaken on a full moon water benders have a choice if they want to draw on the full moon,but I think it’s safe to say most of the things she did just so happen to be on a full moon...not because she needed it.
I really hope the Live Action Series of ATLA by Netflix will be a hit, even though the creators themselves left the project. 🥺

Sokka couldn’t be the avatar after Roku because it breaks the avatar cycle which is Fire, Air, Water, and Earth
Also Aang couldn’t be Katara’s brother because they hail from different nations and are different types of benders

Why didn’t katara use another dose of the oasis water after the war ended to heal Zuko?
I think it’s because zuko doesn’t really need it while aang was literally dead!
I think it is because scars can be lessons and that Zuko didn’t want his scar gone after the war
3:45-3:48 I would like to point out that Katara was only 'defeated' there because Zuko sneak-attacked her while her back was turned. Zuko has never once actually outfought Katara.
